Sorry. When we flew to London, we had the best food.

I think today is Passport day. Will try to get the photos done this am and then off to the passport office.

DH got sort of good news at the Dr Wednesday. Now if I can only get him off to the gym.
DDs husband was off to Korea yesterday. She is feeling lonely already.He will be there til the middle of May. This is the 3rd time the hotel has sent him there. They rotate the managers every so often. The manager from Germany I think is taking his position here in Orlando

Whew what a week..........I am finally all ketched-up! Looking forward to a peaceful weekend - DH is taking bothchildren and going camping so I have the entire weekend to myself to do what i want!

I would have never thought they would rotate managers like that. Hope the time passes quickly for your dd.

Laura and Jenna Bush are going to be in town today to sign their new book. DS used to live across the street from where that Borders is. That road in Winter Park is always jammed and I can't imagine what it will do with all the extra security etc. Good thing DHs Dr appt was Wed and not today.

Glad to hear it. We were in London June 2007 and we flew VA from Heathrow to NYC and the food was really bad.

Peter, I went ahead and booked. $169 for Dulles to LAX. Then I realized that they charge for meals. Is this becoming the trend as well as the extra baggage fees (I don't travel a lot, can you tell )

Anyway, have you flown on Virgin America before ? Are their meals worth buying or are we better off bringing on some sandwiches

Most, if not all, airlines are charging for meals these days. They aren't outrageously expensive, but you can get better carry on food in the airports in most cases

He is doing better but needs to exercise. He is stubborn. Was thinking of calling you when you were here. Sorry never got around to it. Funny that someone who works in the ER is quesey about messy kids

I am only about 3 1/2 threads behind. I figure that this is a good time to jump back in since it is the start of a new thread.

We were looking at doing the dolphins/water park not with DCL in Puerto Vallarta. Is anyone else thinking of doing this?

We are doing the dolphin/water park in Puerto Vallarta (sea life park). We wanted to do the other water park in PV, but DCL has it all booked up. We have a 2pm booking.

Has anyone checked the airfare prices recently???? Our tickets went up $125 each ticket since we bought them!!!

I was able to take advantage of a better rate on another Airline. Originally I booked with AA, but they altered their flight times. The time change was not a big deal, but when I saw the flight prices drop on Air Canada I was able to cancel AA flights and re-book for the better price. AA gave me a hard time, but in the end they allowed me to cancel my flights. We saved over $200 (total).

That is good to hear because I know many people were out of luck in 2005 for missed excursions in Cabo! I will check the ones you mentioned, thanks.

We also booked excursions in Cabo, PV and Aruba that provide refunds if the ship does not dock.

Thanks for the update, I was wondering about her yesterday.

Speaking of updates.... I saw that restaurant.com was having a great 70% off certificates deal and found a place about 5 miles from Emmitsburg.

It's like a sports bar pub kinda place called Taneytown Tavern (they have a website even). I bought a couple certificates for there...

No pressure of course. DH and I could go there even if you don't make it over to Fredneck area.

If you do come though i have a $50 off $100 cert. (it was dirt cheap so i couldn't pass up) They have a few surf/turf type entrees that would get the bill up to that anyway or maybe if you have other Homeland types that need to eat...they could come along too...

And I have out of town guests that weekend..... 10ds is in a play and that is the final weekend.... ACK!!! I wanted to be able to get things worked before that weekend! LOL!
