How lovely! Congratulations to all!!!

Just found this:

Another reason not to fly United....the first to implement extra baggage fees, they charge for extra (i.e. normal) legroom in economy plus, and now if you want to change to earlier flight, another large fee. Just waiting for that bathroom usage fee. This, plus they always seem to be late or have "mechanical" problems here in Denver....

Go ahead Diane.... be Bad for the day.

I gotta run now an' likely I won't be back til the late evenin' ... most likely so I won't be in any danger from "Bad Diane"!

oops did I say I was bad? I meant I am completely and totally INNOCENT!

Absolutely stunning! All of you! ::yes::

I was hit by a car as well on my bike- but it was my fault.
I was 8 and I turned into the street at a bad angle and slid under a Drivers Ed car. Just ran over the bike but the poor driver was so upset. He thought he killed me. I got up and ran home and hid in my closet because I knew it was my fault. Sure enough drivers ed teacher runs to my house to see how I was and of course, I get in trouble by my mom since it was my fault and I scared them to death.
Fast forward 6 years and I was in drivers ed with the same teacher and a car full of kids. I was driving and a kid was on his bike very close. The teacher says "Be careful, one time there was a boy driving for the 1st time and a kid on a bike ran into us". I didn't say a word and then he says real loud "Hey blondie! That was you!!". I was soooo embarrassed. Of course everyone laughed at me. :rotfl2:
BTW- in NM at the time you could get your license at 15 and since I lived on a ranch, I got mine at 14. Of course, I had been driving since I was 5 on the ranch. You would think I would be a better driver. Every single car I have ever had has been in a wreck w/ me in it. :sad2:

Have you had that problems with boats too? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Liz, what great pictures. Looks like a great day all around.

Thanks Andrew..... I was considering doing the Dolphins through DCL in PV and then booking the sealions myself....since DCL runs the bus every 30 min back to port....no set excursion return time....... Its so hard to make these decisions

I don't understand what you mean by "DCL runs the bus every 30 min back to port"? Help! I am starting to get a little worried about the booking and missing the good things! :)

good evening everyone!
what is the car rental company located on disney property? we want to rent a car the day we disembark...but i want to drop it off at wdw...which company do i need to rent from?
thanks!

Shannon, I booked with Alamo. They are supposed to be right there at DTD.

I think that they have several excursions during the day that you can stay and linger before returning. I actually think there are several different ones going on at the center. :) Just have to make sure you get on the last bus heading back.

You are sooooooo lucky! Only having to drive 7/8 hours to WDW or DCL is the bomb!!! I would drive everytime if I lived that close!

Would be great if the gas prices would be a little better.:rolleyes1

Everyone please check your Vent Dryer!!!

For the last few weeks John and I have been noticing our brand new clothes dryer was not working properly. Our dryer is in the laundry room in the lower level of our house. The vent to our dryer goes accross our entire laundry room and our recreation room. Total is about 25 feet wth the pipe running through our ceiling and enclosed in the inside wall of our laundry room. Even though in 36 years of living here...........I have always cleaned out the dryer in the vent.

The last two weekends we bought a brush and started to see if there was lint in the sheet metal pipe. This is not an easy task as it is 25 feet acroos and has two 90 degree angles coming off the dryer in the wall. We had been getting some lint out and thought that was it.

Saturday I washed clothes and the clothes were not dry after 2 hours. We went out to some charity function and started drying the clothes again Saturday night. In about 15 minutes, I came down stairs and told John I could smell something burning. The dryer was extremely hot!!! We shut it off for the night.

Sunday morning...John being very mechanically inclined.....took a wire to fish out any lint. He managed to go from the outside through the pipe in our ceiling and into the laundry room. He then attached a brush to it to pull out the lint. Well...................Out came 25 feet of the pipe into our back yard. The brush got stuck and the entire straight pie came out. There was at least 8 feet of solid lint in the pipe.
After several wholes in our laundry room wall and ceiling, we fianally managed to put the pipe on the 90 angles. All is well but a few more holes to patch in hte laundry room ceiling a walls.

Sooooo everyone please make sure your vent is clean!!! We were very fortunate that the house did not go up in smoke!!!:worship: :worship:

Wow ! Glad everything turned out o.k well except the minor patch up work needed. Very lucky indeed.

I must confess..........it was John's snoring!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

My ds12 is a Leo. He will be 13 on July 27th.

Here's a funny story about my dh's birthday......On our last cruise there were 3 other families we really had a lot in common with, and ended up spending almost the whole cruise hanging out with all of them, including excursions. Well my husband and 2 of the other husband's birthdays all fell on the same day, July 16th. And the fourth husband....when was his birthday? July 15th! We all thought that was such a strange coincidence!

Another Leo here ................. Chuck will be turning 50 on July 26th.

I thought I would post this in case it applies to anyone.
Budget offers spouse driver for free. I booked but realized I have no intention of driving the behemuth to DTD after the cruise. I called to add USAA code but did not need to because they offer spouse for free.
They also have a small discount if you book through USAA as well.

Thanks that's good to know for the future. Chuck rented a mini van for the drive back so a certain someone could sleep the trip back.:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Just a quick post before I catch up from the weekend.

Thanks for all the prayers and pixie dust for Lisa at her meet. She did wonderful. She ended up winning the Floor and placing 4th overall. They take the top seven to Nationals,so both she and her friend Bugs (who placed #2) on on the Region 8 Team. They were two very happy little girls!

Way to go !:cheer2:  :cheer2:

Keep in mind that birds will nest in dryer vents too (they can open the flap on their own)

Our last townhouse had a second story laundry room. The house was vacant for a couple months before we moved in and we didn't do laundry the first week or so. Well after my dryer also didn't dry we looked at the pipe and it was solidly filled with bird nest. (and birdy i may add)

The landlord replaced the vent cover with a caged one...But guess what..they cage part caught lint and clogged up every 6 weeks or so too...

What a PIA to have to move the dryer every few weeks to clean it out.

I have mainly had problems with GE dryers (they sooooo do not catch the lint.) Even on my brand new dryer....Most of the lint goes past the screen and jams in the bottom of the dryer.

I did rig a sucky tube device for my vacuum though that can reach.

I remember back in NY I thought my laundry room was haunted. I kept hearing this strange noise and it was driving me nuts............turns out it was a bird running through the dryer tube !

As of June 20 I no longer have a job.
Not sure about TOAL.
Not sure about anything.

I am sorry to hear this..........we wen't through the same thing with Chuck. Your probaly still in shock, you still have some time before making any decsions. This just might mean a even better job for you in the future.:wizard:

I personally do not believe in Deja vu, I have herd it all before.....read it all before....seen it all before....dreamt it all before

Same with me.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

WOOO HOOO....just made a rather large payment on the balance due for the cruise...so it looks like we are actually going !!!! I wasn't completely convinced we'd make it , but looks like we are a go!

I know I haven't posted much, but I have been lurking... To keep it on topic...does anyone know what the recommended tips are for the cruise?

Congrats ! Makes it seem a little bit more real.

It's good to know that I'm not the only one struggling. I've tried a few times & failed miserably. Trying to add my parents things to the wish list, I'd already done ours. I even set up my parents their own account incase it was struggling because it was my account pulling up their ressie, but alas still an error! Will try later as I see some others have now got cabin# so wonder if I have too. carrying on with the ketchup - only 15 pages to go!

Celestine

I still tried to get on DCL yesterday to make my wish list and same problem.
