Thanks for posting this Andrew - I am sure the last post with this information that someone else posted is buried somewhere on this thread

This and Monica's prior post on the Pirate Zone planning boards

Wow, I don't know how I have missed this before, but our deck parties are definitely Cabo, Acapulco, and Aruba? Cabo and Acapulco I can understand, but why have a deck party in Aruba when we are docked until very late???? I guess that would be pirates night, since we are headed into the Caribbean at that point, but it does seem odd to put it on a night when people could choose to have dinner and drinks until fairly late in Aruba. I know you, Andrew had said something about fireworks, but we had fireworks on a day at sea on the Med repo last year . . .

I'm not so sure that she didn't just pull up the same canned info response that they sent out to the WB repo'ers. For now, I'm still betting on the Pirate night deck party being the night after Aruba. I guess we'll know for sure somewhere around August 17th.

now where is that picture of a bunny with a pancake on its head when you want it?

Did anyone else notice the order of the deck parties? It is backwards from the way we are going. Is the WB leaving Aruba earlier in the day? If so it might make sense for them to have pirate night as they are leaving the Caribbean.

Hi

The wedding went without a hitch.. The weather was perfect low 80's ..

Just beautiful Liz!

You know, Mike, as I look at the order "Aruba, Acapulco, Cabo" it does make me think it is the WB info . . .

The night after Aruba would be nice for a pirate party . . .

Hi

Wow, Liz! Everything about the wedding was beautiful and you looked gorgeous! Many, many congrats . . .

I'm sure this is the WB response and not ours.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Hopefully we know by the 17th. I think that was the wb response too. They have early nights aruba and pv. also it goes in the order they would hit the ports not us.

The funny thing about all this planning is that I basically taken all our previous cruises except for excursions (which I always booked direct with DCL) as I'll be surprised once we see it in the navigator. This is a 1st for me of wanting (:rolleyes1 okay needing) to know what is going to be going on. It never bothered me that I didn't know which restaurant I would be missing with my Palo selection.

Well it was Lauras observation, I assumed I was the WHOOSHpirate:

You can be the WHOOSH if it makes you happy:rotfl:

Just found this:

Chicago-based United Airlines has announced changes to its ticketing policies, citing rising fuel costs.

United spokeswoman Robin Urbanski says the airline has increased the fee it charges to change a ticket from $100 to $150.

The carrier also reinstated a Saturday-night stay requirement for discounted fares in areas where United competes head-to-head with other so-called legacy air carriers.

"In an environment where fuel prices are averaging almost $120 a barrel, we are facing a cost increase of more than $2 billion this year and that is more than twice the operating earnings we generated last year," Urbanski said in an e-mail.

Everyone please check your Vent Dryer!!!

For the last few weeks John and I have been noticing our brand new clothes dryer was not working properly. Our dryer is in the laundry room in the lower level of our house. The vent to our dryer goes accross our entire laundry room and our recreation room. Total is about 25 feet wth the pipe running through our ceiling and enclosed in the inside wall of our laundry room. Even though in 36 years of living here...........I have always cleaned out the dryer in the vent.

The last two weekends we bought a brush and started to see if there was lint in the sheet metal pipe. This is not an easy task as it is 25 feet acroos and has two 90 degree angles coming off the dryer in the wall. We had been getting some lint out and thought that was it.

Saturday I washed clothes and the clothes were not dry after 2 hours. We went out to some charity function and started drying the clothes again Saturday night. In about 15 minutes, I came down stairs and told John I could smell something burning. The dryer was extremely hot!!! We shut it off for the night.

Sunday morning...John being very mechanically inclined.....took a wire to fish out any lint. He managed to go from the outside through the pipe in our ceiling and into the laundry room. He then attached a brush to it to pull out the lint. Well...................Out came 25 feet of the pipe into our back yard. The brush got stuck and the entire straight pie came out. There was at least 8 feet of solid lint in the pipe.
After several wholes in our laundry room wall and ceiling, we fianally managed to put the pipe on the 90 angles. All is well but a few more holes to patch in hte laundry room ceiling a walls.

Sooooo everyone please make sure your vent is clean!!! We were very fortunate that the house did not go up in smoke!!!:worship: :worship:

While you're at it - if you use your fireplace with real wood, be sure to bring in a chimney sweep every now and then. A chimney fire is just as dangerous.

Does anyone have any information on what would be a good way to spend one day in NYC with two children age 13DD and 11DS?

We will be in the city next Tuesday for just one day and there is so much to choose from I came here to get some advice.

We have been to the Museum or Natural History a couple of time and the Metropolitan Museum of Art a couple of times. We have also gone into Central Park during a weekend day just to enjoy the stroll and various entertainers that are there on the weekends. This being a weekday may not have that

We have been to Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty and Empire State building

We were thinking of Madam Tussauds but not sure how that is
We may also go to TKTS to see what plays are available for that evening
Anyone have any info on how to get discount tickets to Wicked? I know those are not available at TKTS

Anyone have any suggestions on great shopping for a teenager daughter? I personally really dislike shopping but she would love it. She is very into fashion, but high fashion is not in my budget

Any suggestions would be very welcomed

Thanks
:goodvibes

Lunch or dinner at "Jekyl and Hyde"

I usually find that Alamo and using an Entertainment coupon is the cheapest. It is amazing how different the rates are at different companies and cities.

Hertz just started a service called Simply Wheelz at MCO - price is dramatically less than their regular rentals (I'm paying about $100 for a week this week + about $40 for the GPS rental). Internet bookings only (Expedia and www.simplywheelz.com).
