Well, nice change in the weather for us, it is going to be 60+ degrees today and sunny. Thank goodness!

Edited to say...so sorry Andrew about the cold and snow, I didn't mean to brag about our finally nice weather, I hadn't read your weather report yet. YUCK! Hopefully you will get some spring like weather soon!

MATH ALERT

I think its closer to 4,504 (remember, the "#1" post was the big one 83,108 posts #2, #3 and #4 about 3750 each takes you to 94,000 some plus 1200 or so here) .... Check the first post, I tried to recreate where the posts would be numbered (in case you are trying to find a post that you know is in a rough range). If my math is off, someone tell me.

Now that DS11 is playing in the majors he has 2-3 practices/week and 1-2 games per week.

The crazy thing is the organization has gotten so big that they need to use fields scattered aroung the district. We end up with a 1:00 game here & a 2:00 practice there, and snack bar duty.

I keep telling my self it's better than sitting at home listening to them beg to play the wii.

Does anybody else think that it's ironic that according to the cover letter that came with the planning kit, it calls the booking date the "hassle-free date".

Especially after the horror stories the WB cruisers had making their ressies.

Hassle-free booking date applies to people not going on this cruise.

We got the rental completely cleared out of the trash and things they left. Totally filled up that 30 yard dumpster--it was heaping full. And Alan walked it down 2 times. We will probably still need to get a smaller one--some of the windows are broken beyond repair and we are going to convert the attic space into a master bedroom and add a bath. Need to get a new countertop and replace the sink and faucet. Hopefully it will be ready to rent by June 1st. I hope to sell it to Adam when he gets married (one day) and let that be their starter home. (That way they get a deal and I don't have to recoup all that depreciation for the last 12-15 years )

Kevin and I decided that we're going to forego the sightseeing on the 16th and do DL instead. Coral has graciously offered to not only let us park our car at her place while we're gone,but also drive us to the airport when we get there. And we were able to cancel our DCL Transfers to MCO because she suggested we ride with her and her family in their rental van!!! This will allow us a few extra bucks so that we can actually "afford" to go to DL with you guys.

I think I'll call her our Special Angel.

Our oldest turned 10 on the 2nd day of our last WDW trip, and we were on the Dining Plan, so we got to pay for him as a child for the whole trip. I'm dreading paying adult prices for tickets and meals from now on. At least he's starting to eat a little bit more like an adult.

Sounds like you timed that trip perfectly! I have actually been so concerned with finding good places for us to eat, that I hadn't thought about how much more DS's park ticket is going to cost us!

Hey all....thanks for the pixie dust and prayers. Talked with my prinicpal today about missing teacher work week. She was cool about it and knows i can handle it so all went well.

That's great. I was so nervous about telling our school principal that my kids would be missing the first week of school, but she was fine with it. I did start getting a bit more excited after talking to her, though!

A friend of ours from the REPO thread Captain Crash (AKA Mr Innocent)who likes to look into things, did a poll before, - he loves polls our dear Tom, and after a lot of input from the dissers here, he concluded, you cannot predict any upgrade and there wasn't any pattern, just DCL operational reasons. They know why! and maybe a little pixie dust!

If you have AAA you can get a 10% discount at Goofy's Kitchen - I know for sure and a few others I think.

No AAA, but I think I read that DVC also gives us a 10% discount. Thanks for the reminder!

I don't blame ya, I know I was on the lookout for mine for that reason too...seemed more real and sure.
I hope yours gets there soon. I know usually through travel agents, Disney sends it to them first and then they forward it on to the client. When I went through AAA one time, it took forever to finally get our docs!

I'm with a TA (not DU) but my package came direct from Disney.

You most likely will see this on TV later, the Olympic flame is going through London today, but lots of scuffles and incidents from protesters in London disrupting its progress from Wembley through London to Stratford. (Home of the 2012)

We had some protests when it came through SF but for the most part it was civilized. Probably due to the huge Chinese community we have here.
