And by the way when are they going to have our excursions up (with times) for us to start looking at. I mean we are going to make ressies in what 45 days. :lmao:

I have my Passporter here:
In Acapulco from 6:30am-1:00pm

Acauplco Highlights, Shopping, and Cliff Divers is 5-5.5 hours

Acapulco City Tour with Cliff Divers 4.5-5 hours

Based on that I am saying it is going to be a VERY early starting time for those excursions. Another reson I do not want to do on my own.

I kind of want to see how many times they have. I noticed that they all say book early due to limited availability. :sad2:

Okay....I'm sure DCL plans on all excursions being back by 12:30pm at the latest....so that would make these start time 7-7:30am. Holy cow!

Yes, I think I will just put the girls to bed the night before in their clothes since they are not good morning people at the best of times.
When we are at WDW even the Mickey phone call does not do it.
For the 1st time I am contemplating getting up for ropedrop by myself and meeting up w/ the rest of them later in our June trip. Makes for a conflict-free morning.

We had an interesting night.
There was a huge hail storm at 3:21 this morning. Very intense, emergency sirens etc. I turned on the TV and the normal morning newscasters were on. They sure had a long night too.
Everything looks fine this morning. Spring in North Texas is always interesting.
BTW, those surprised we get under the stairs in bad weather- there are no basements in Texas. Something about the water table etc. So.... here you just get in the lowest internal room and hope for the best.

I'm glad all is well -- Having lived in Western Missouri or eastern KS most of my life, I've been through many nights like that. Fortunately, we had basements for shelter which made us feel a little more secure. I've heard that in areas w/o basements, that many homes have reinforced storm rooms in the center of the house built with reinforced concrete or cinder blocks.

Tatoos. My DD just got 2 more. She is doing the kids names:confused3 She has Morgans name on her wrist and put some waves around it as he is an aquarius. Sabrinas name she got out of a book written by an English writer. About 8 lines on her shoulder. She hasn't decided on Wesley yet!!!!!!! I asked her if she did it to remember their names :lmao: :lmao:

DS is on his way to DFW and then connecting to Reno.

By the way, speaking of Acapulco, this link is really informative http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=789070

i wish i knew of a tat artist nearby i could trust....

I want a small fairy too. (but just a black shadow image)

I love Disney, but I have a hard time with permanently afixing any corporate symbol on my body. I had a temp Tink at WDW for a few trips.

These things are addicting. I kinda want another one...

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: OMG, where do you find this stuff???

pirate: Hello everyone

I just came across something interesting and thought I would share. I apologize in advance if someone has already shared this info and I missed it!!!

I was researching restaurants in San Pedro and came across this calendar that shows a tall ship festival for our weekend!!!! This could make for a very nice sail away

Thanks so much for sharing this info. We are already planning to go to San Pedro Saturday and this is perfect.

ATA just filed for bankruptcy!
effective yesterday it seems...

Check your tickets if you have reservations with them! They've ceased operations entirely - so it's not as if they are operating while in reorganization....

Regretfully, I have 4 tickets to Honolulu with them for December ...

... $1500 or so that I'll have to see about wrangling in trade with another cooporating airline that serves Hawaii. The ATA home page lists the options open to me (? us) and we also have a chance of getting a refund through our credit card it seems - according to the home page - but who knows?

I gotta get on this now!

That is a bummer for you CC. I hope you are able to get your tickets straitened out.

I am absolutely amazed at the skill of the plastic surgeon I went to.
I looked like a train wreck last week after the surgery. Now, it is just amazing! He took a pretty substantial hole in my nose and in a week and a half it looks almost normal. He hid all the stitches in the curve of my nose and you cannot see any marks. It still just a bit red. Wow! I think I am going to start saving for some more work that guy can do on me.

Coral, I wasn't aware you were having a surgery  . I am glad you are happy with the results and are on the mend.

There is no way for everyone to be happy.

Links to the first page for important information was an OK idea for a while, but there is a lot of information and no way to follow the comments/feedback from other people, and the whole thing is impossible now that we have about 20 thread-ettes floating around the Dis. Also, with links on the first page it would be the sole responsibility of ONE person (the OP of each thread) to keep it updated. That is a lot of work for one person. This solution is a little ‘work’ for a lot of people. Anyone can move important info to the other board so we don’t have to rely on one person (or saddle them with extra work). This also allows people to quickly look up information without wading through 1,000 fluff posts.

That other board is for important info only, so it doesn’t move very fast. I really only look at it if I’m looking for information on a port or an activity, maybe 1-2x a month.

We discussed the idea for a while and it seemed like a reasonable solution to everyone who was around at the time. In a group this size, I bet there is at least one thing that each of us would change if we were in charge, but that’s part of the deal with joining a group. I’m sorry you don’t like it, but many people do and it isn’t going away.

Very well said. Again, thanks to all who put work into the forum & website and to everyone who adds the helpful info for all to see.

I thought this might give everyone a little chuckle!!!!

Thanks for the laugh, Cheryl :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Update/funny comment relating to my special "kiss" I received this week.

Dad came to pick up today and said "So, I hear he has a girlfriend?"
I said "Well, he is just a sweet kid!"
Dad said "Well, I hardly ever get one from him at home. You do a great job with him.Thank you!"

Chrissie

Awww, too sweet!!!

I'm a tea person too:thumbsup2 Teavana has me in their system.

Peppermint & Tranquil Nights are my favorite Teavana teas :lovestruc

Okay tomorrow I deal with my school principal about the TOAL. Our school starts back on Sept 2 so I will make our first day of school BUT teacher work week is the week prior and obviously I will not be there. Have a mtg at 1pm to discuss it with her - she is very old school, very abrupt and to the point so it should take all of 5 minutes in and out - either its fine or its not and I need to start looking for a new school to work at

The only thing i may have going for me is I am trying to work summer school this year. Basically its a 4 week program that will give me some extra cash, its much easier than the normal school year - way less paperwork. Its 4 days a week 7:30 - 12:30. Schools are always desperate for summer school teachers so it may be my saving grace.

Say a prayer for me tonight y'all.

pixiedust: pixiedust: Here's some Pixie Dust...Good Luck

Nothing here either :sad2:

Nothing here either, maybe today

I am going to start a San Pedro restaurant thread under pre cruise but here is the Ports O'Call Restaurant Nice place, right on the water, a little pricey but great salad bar.

Another jewel of San Pedro is Papadakis Taverna. It is a great Greek restaurant run by a guy that I use to play football with in HS. It is definitely pricey but a wild experience.

Another standard at Ports O'Call is the San Pedro Fish Market which has been featured on the Food Network.

Thanks Roger - with only one day there, it will be hard to decide. They all look great

Mail time, mail time, Maaaiil Tiiime

Here's the mail
It never fails
It makes me wanna wag my tail
When it comes I wanna wail...
MAIL!!!

MAGENTA'S COMING OVER, MAGENTA'S COMING OVER

I was looking thru a catalog and saw the roll up space bags for packing. Has anyone used these ? I was trying to see if they were TSA approved.I haven't flown since all the security measures were implemented. So how does this effect all the cases of water we all planned to take on board etc. Sorry if I am rambling. It's way early for me.

I use these for my under garments and my pillow. Being a cronic insomiac, especially while on vacation, I can't travel without my own pillow. These squish them down to nothing. Like someone said, you have to be careful about overstuffing it, weight wise.

I'm gonna try to board the plane wearing all of my clothes. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Will that include your evening gown for Formal Night

Received both the official DCL cruise guide last night and my passporter, so didn't have much time to really look at either one. However, I noticed that the passporter spent a lot of time talking about the Queen Mary and its restaurants. Have you tried any of those? Is the Queen Mary as great as they say it is -- not sure I'd want to stay there, but it does seem close to the Magic.

Kids breakfast is out of the way, now lets get this done so I can shower. :lmao:

At least we did not waste our money on the passports!!!:yay: :yay:

My letter only has my ressie number on the top and no CC number anywhere. :confused3 :confused3 It does have May 19th on it!!!

Are you sure they're not required. It seemed like there was conflicting info. At the top right part of the page, it said that passports are required for both repo cruises, then it said at the bottom of that same page that US Citizens had a choice of documentation. I read it quickly and don't have it in front of me, so I may be all washed up.
