our rooms are 6130 and 6131- are those good rooms? I need to go look to see exactly where those are and how close they are! assuming they are very close one number after the other but they are different categories so let's see....

Congrats on the room assignment! When do you get it? We're booked the same way as you (cat 11 and cat 6) and we're still waiting for the second cabin to be assigned.

OK, today is a good day.......

I don't know how I did it, but I just got my cabin number changed by calling and asking. I was left on hold for about 5 minutes (brings back memories) and they came back with a perfect location - 8586, right outside the AFT lifts. Now I can stumble up to make my morning coffee without scaring TOO many people

OK, today is a good day.......

I don't know how I did it, but I just got my cabin number changed by calling and asking. I was left on hold for about 5 minutes (brings back memories) and they came back with a perfect location - 8586, right outside the AFT lifts. Now I can stumble up to make my morning coffee without scaring TOO many people

Big Announcement Everyone!!!! I got a new job! They fired my boss (great guy) & have been beating on me... I went looking & stumbled upon this job (very unexpected). Better hours, no looking over my shoulder, little more money.... & they're OK with my TOAL. I should be happy but have mixed feelings... I feel like I'm letting down my kids & parents (I've been working at a boys & girls club).... but I just can't face working for the people who have taken over. Very bitter/sweet decision. Gonna be lots of tears when I tell the kids (if they let me). Going to give notice on Monday... we'll see if they walk me out. I'm going to really miss the kids...

Congrats on the new job Penny! It's never easy leaving a place, especially when you've been there for a while, no matter how toxic the environment becomes. Seems there are always those that we are going to miss.

No problem -- I thought the newsletter was hilarious. My DW sees more humor in it today as well.

We are on the opposite end of deck 6. So I have a long walk down the hallway to get up to the drink station for my tea in the morning. So if you see me stumbling past say hello. I need my tea before I am human. I am an early riser and DH likes to sleep in so I usually get my tea and plan out the day while he sleeps. Then again you are night owls so you might still be asleep too. I will try to be quiet.

You're in 6507 -- we're very close to you -- we're in connecting cabins 6524 and 6526. Like you, I'm an early riser and enjoy being out on the Top Deck for sunrise. However, if you see me in the morning, don't try to get me to talk until I've made it up for my morning coffee. My family loves buying me Grumpy coffee mugs as they say it fits my personality until I've had that first cup.

I thought tday was going to be just an average day (ok with the kids trying to pull April Fool's jokes on me ).But it wasn't!

So today one of my kids at my afterschool program-child happensto be on the autism spectrum-cleaned up an area with out being asked (huge deal for this guy!)So,because I love positive reinforcement,I made a big deal when mom came to pick him up. Put my arm around his shoulder and thanked him and said "you did such a great job! Thanks for helping out!".He then gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek! (Big deal because he is not a touchy feely kid. I also knew it was huge because mom had to pick her jaw up off the ground!)

So with an event like that makes me feel as if I made a difference in at least one little guy's life!

Just wanted to share.

BIP and others, another reason to get a passport ASAP, is this new Real ID law. Starting soon, you supposedly won't be able to board airplanes if you State isn't in compliance or has an extension.

The Homeland Security Department late Monday averted a showdown with South Carolina over a controversial driver's license law, while Maine faced the prospect of becoming the only state in the country whose residents will soon not be able to enter federal buildings or board airplanes using their licenses.

Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff announced that South Carolina would be granted an extension to meet the requirements of the so-called Real ID law -- even though the state did not request an extension and has no plans to comply with the law.

Monday was the cutoff for states to request waivers from a May 11 deadline to come into compliance with Real ID. South Carolina and Maine were the only two states that had not been granted waivers.

OH, and great advice about don't drink and dumbell ... one time (cuz I'm stupid) I played 9 holes of golf, had a couple of beers and when I got home I decided that I still needed to get in a 30 minute step-aerobics workout I stopped about 5 minutes in

good morning everyone! i'm loving weds...the baby i watch is taking a nap, and the other kids are off to preschool. it's so nice and quiet here!!

my family buys me grumpy shirts. all the daycare kids know they'd better be on their best behavior if i'm wearing one! sometimes they even tell me i'd better go put on my grumpy shirt...that's usually when it's started as a good day and they've been naughty!! LOL!!

I'll keep plugging along and sending out those resumes, but I can't help but think it was a lot easier for me to get a job as a recent college grad than it has been to get a job as a professional with tons of years of experience
