Howdy Crew!

Just a quick posting. I've caught Crash's super bug and have been down for the count for the last week. I'm to the point where I'm simply trying to cough up a lung now.

On the other hand - I lost 7 pounds. Don't recommend the super bug as a weight loss program though.

I actually managed to work a bunch today. But, I've hit my wall and will toddle off for a nap soon. This really sucks.

You most likely know I try to help out on the Main cruise boards, and answer some questions there, but in the last couple of nights, I feel like I am being 'shot' down everywhere I go.

Not paranoid, but when you try your best to help some posters are not happy,

One asked for a 'menu's link, I posted one that I knew off, and then another post comes in, ''is it current'' the OP wanted current ones.-Well I think it is?

REAS, try to help on that, and suggested when it comes out for 2009, check the package ensure it hasn't changed, another post back, 'its never changed, spoken to DCL'. Actually it has, rain-forest pass for couples massage for example, booking with DCL direct and Debbie, now on-line.

And the big one, there is a disser who lets say isnt into European cruising, and feels strongly the American family market do not cruise in the Med.

In all the years here, thats the first addition to my 'ignore list'.

Anyway, try to be positive, off to lick my wounds, I feel its time to give up posting on the main forum.

Don't give up on the main forum! I loved the link you sent to magicalkingdoms -- it went immediately to my favorites. You've been a huge source of help and knowledge for me in the main forum and even convinced me to come back to this meet board and try again.

My mom was raised in Painesville, up on Lake Erie. She had the flat mid-western accent. I love southern accents!

I forgot to mention. We have SNOW AGAIN!!!
The kids were uncontrollable leaving school. Snowball fights the 1st step out of school today.
This is so bizarre for us to: 1) have snow and 2) have it so late.
It is coming down so hard. We are having some "snow thunder". Never heard of that one. I actually heard thunder while it was snowing. All news stations are not showing normal programming all day- just snow updates. This is so fun!!!

Would you kids like me to ship some of my snow there? I ship cheap! LOL!

Andrew, I hear you. I really don't get some of the people who are so nasty on the boards. The cruise board is a lot more civilized than the others. I've had a couple of people get nasty with me. I appreciate all your knowledge. Just kill 'em with kindness!

DD is doing better, although I think we will still be riding out the fever thing for the next 24 hours. Thanks for everyones well wishes! Least we don't have to wake up early tomorrow!

I hear you Andrew! There are a few people on the main board that rub me the wrong way and I've just given up even reading anything that they post. I took a break from posting on the main board for a while because of it but slowly started back and now I will post on occassion.

Wow you are a hard group to keep up with. Especially since my home computer died back in November. Glad I was reading and now know that the cruise is going to cost me $15 more. Makes me glad it is just me as I can dig up $15 even if I have to go panhandling.

Anyone else out here traveling solo? Has anyone ever done a cruise alone? I am wondering how strange it will be having dinner at Palo alone. Also if my server will think I am an alcoholic when I order a wine package.

Being from back east (NE PA) and going to school around Philly - youz guys was frequently used as well as "Where you at?"

Sorry to hear the bug is working its way through this group. I was sick for 3 weeks. Finally started getting better last week. It is brutal. You think you are getting better then it comes back at you. I only got an inhaler - Dr. said not much we can do - everyone has it.

BTW - looking into getting a laptop to replace dead home computer. Anyone out there have any recommendations? I am leaning towards a Dell XPS.

I should hope that your server won't think your an alcoholic if you order the wine package! I may order one and it would just be me drinking the wine, DH doesn't touch the stuff. Another idea - perhaps you and your table-mates could split a package, if you have similar tastes, etc.

We use Dells at work and love them.

Are you on early or late dining? DS LOVES lobster (yes, I taught him well!) and will give you a run for your money (along with my help) when it comes to eating them!

How great for your kids!

We get "thunder snow" usually in the late winter/early spring, though we had some in December and January this year.

You know - I feel this way about snow usually (even though I live up here in the frigid North ) This winter has just been so long and over the top that I am tired of it and just want spring. We have had thunder snow twice this year (so far....). The lightning lighting up the snow is very eerie.

I so totally agree - this really sucks!!! I have been sick since Sunday. Had to come home early from work to take a nap. DD is doing better, although I think we will still be riding out the fever thing for the next 24 hours. Thanks for everyones well wishes! Least we don't have to wake up early tomorrow!

Glad to hear that DD is doing better. Are they still forecasting lots of snow for you again tomorrow and Saturday?

I so totally agree - this really sucks!!! I have been sick since Sunday. Had to come home early from work to take a nap. Hopefully, I'll make it through tomorrow since I will be the only one at our office. I am also trying to cough up a lung - the symptoms seem to be remarkably the same across the country.

I'm a couple of days in front of you. Got hit with the high fever last Friday. Wow, did that hurt.

Made a apt with the doc for tomorrow morning. Just to be certain this gunk in my lungs hasn't turned into something more insidious. Probably not, but I keep hearing from my coworkers about the engineer at our AZ facility who got this, contracted double pneunomia and died. DH would just as soon I not get double pneunomia...

So, don't push it too fast. I'm not stepping foot in the office until next week. But, I'm set up so I can work from home when I have to. Today (Day 6) was the first day my temp was low enough to even consider going into work.

The good news is that the rest of the family has remained healthy.

You have to have somewhere it is safe to complain! I see that a lot when I am surfing the other threads . . . the one being helpful is often the one jumped on by others. Don't let them get you down, though.

I had Palo brunch by myself on (I think) the Med cruise last year and it was wonderful --- I also saw someone else (a man) having brunch in there by himself at the same time, so it is done.

Once you go MAC , youll never go back .......Just get a Mac the only way to go ...

I got this last month and it did go to pneumonia . . . so you should get checked out just to be sure.
