Attention!
Shopaholic Wenches ...
& Shopaholic CrossDressing Swabbies...

Here is a photo-log of my spouses' Task Force Macy 2-29-2008 findings with prices/values as of last nite...
< and she is NOT fully pictured as she demanded I NOT post her full photo on account of her incomplete make up, hair prep and so on... however, I still think she is the most beautiful wench to grace the 7 seas (that's with or without make up and "hair doing")
... and I usually prefer her "naturally" without the makeup an' stuff!
>.

Yeah... from my POV, $62 for .... snow boots ... in sunny Southern California... :confused3

SO all told, Alicia sez she only spent about $135.80 for $772 in goods (plus she saved sales tax on 636.20 = about $50 alone!) for a total of 82.4% off ... so these things above represent 90% of her purchases yesterday. Overall... I think these dresses and boots look much much better in real life then in the photos. Go figure? :goodvibes

OK... we're off for the day to attend an old friends' Birthday party where our kids will probably run amok for hours on end. Somewhere in the day my spouse and I will slip away to go Macy hopping a couple hours ... probably hitting the Torrence, Santa Monica Place & possibly the Fox Hills Macy stores.

TTFN[/SIZE]

Crash your wife and I could do some serious damage together! I like her shopping style! I must say Macy's have been having some really great sales lately!

Chrissie

Sorry Diane The science geek in me got out of control

That's okay. I just prefer to not know when I'm being poisoned!

It's like when someone wants to mention what's really in a hot dog. I immediatly put my fingers in my ear. I just DO NOT want to know! :scared1:

Wow great job on the sale items Alicia!!! :cool1: The boots are a real find, but don't think I'd find them for that price around here. We actually went to Macy's today and managed to get 2 packs of 20 candy flavored & magnetic lip glosses for 12.60. One was going to be a gift for a b-day party my DD was going to this evening. Not nearly as a great a bargain, but still I was happy since it allowed us to throw in a few more make-up items for a complete gift pkg.

BTW....with that figure, I think Alicia would look great in a sack! ;)

I'm not reading them! :scared:

La la la la! I can't hear you!

I would like to see the Charlotte Web pics too!

Great pics! The both look wonderful! Must've been a lot of fun seeing them both in the production.

Diane, I am totally with you on the "I'm just not going to dwell on this" aspect of food safety!

Thanks for your comments -- below is a picture of the middle daughter as Charlotte (she had a web on an upper level, but this was taken afterwards when it was easier to see the costume). She pointed out that she died in both her productions this year! Charlotte's death really, really got to me, but Captain Hook's was silly, of course. I congratulated the girl who played the crocodile afterwards and she said, "Thanks. Sorry I ate your daughter." which is certainly not something you hear that often!

You have beautiful children! "Sorry I ate your daughter". :lmao:

I mentioned this before but my DS is starring as Rolf in the Sound of Music in his school's play in a couple of weeks. He walks around the house singing the soundtrack constantly. Just yesterday he said, "Mom forget baseball, basketball, or karate, THIS is what I want to do", and he threw a pamphlet on the table for a local theater that does children's workshops. I guess he's caught the acting bug!

Hi everyone! Just taking a few minutes away from the house-cleaning to do some ketchup here on the DIS....

I didn't even think about USAA for trip insurance. D'oh.

OK - I give up - what is USAA?

What about earplugs? I got the Earplanes brand one time for my son to try. I thought they were going to be something different, but they were just earplugs. The theory is to wear them the entire time and they pressue will never have a chance to grow. Unfortunately for us, my son refused to wear them until after he was feeling the pressure, so it didn't work.

I have been using Earplanes for nearly 10 years when I fly. They have been a godsend for me. They are a little different from regular earplugs - if you look through the blue plastic you can see a small insert, supposedly that is what slowly regulates the air pressure change in your ear. Once the plane is at it cruising altitude for a while, you can take them out (as long as you get them in again before the decent starts!) Before these, flying was incredibly painful - my ears wouldn't "pop" and the pressure would just build and build. I won't even get on a plane without these now!

Question for those who set up DID ID's for their kids:

Who did you email to get their accounts activated?

I set up my 3 kids each with an ID, but I need to give my permission so the DIS will activate them. My oldest just read the kids thread and wants to post, so I guess I'll let him do it under my name for now.

I just posted on the tech support board and a webmaster emailed me within an hour or two....

WOW:worship:
These designs are wonderful:thumbsup2
When you find yourself with some time maybe I can put in a special request for one (or two) for a door sign:rolleyes1

Laurie - Certainly, I'll try and do designs for anyone here! Obviously, there are only so many hours in a day, so some advance notice so I have a few weeks to fit it in is very helpful.

I remember that now! He could get his start this way . . . a friend of ours who is the lead in "Spring Awakening" on Broadway (and was Tony nominated in the role) played Rolf in one of his first roles . . .

< ouch!, ouch!, ouch! >

how many bags can I bring on the sling shot? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

that would be mush less painful if you are already in corpse form

Welcome!

(don't mind the corpse comment...context makes it not so scary, I promise)

A sling shot full of Lisa mush hurling toward Philly. :scared1: :rotfl2: :scared1: :rotfl2:

I thought I saw there were some Yankees fans who did a Dis-meet last year. I need some help. I booked $10 airline tickets on Skybus to NY for DW and I in June to see the Reds series versus the Yankees. Single game tickets went on sale yesterday, but they were sold-out within a few minutes. I'm sure I can do e-bay/ticket broker or wait until closer to the game because I know that teams retain tickets for potential season ticket sales that are often released later, but thought I'd see if there's any other suggestions. I was looking at either Sat. June 21 or Sun. June 22nd.

If you wait until closer to time, you will find some bargains on Stub Hub . . . we have done this before with great success.

Thanks. Is reselling outside the stadium legal? I've never had a problem buying tickets from a scalper...but some cities outlaw it.

Looks like things are heating up in Colombia:

No, I personally wish it was illegal, but scalping is perfectly legal these days in New York. . . in the past it was illegal to make a profit on them, they had to be sold at face value or less, but no longer.

And you can of course get tremendous deals if you are willing to wait just outside until the game is beginning (even just the National anthem) and take the tickets that are beginning to look worthless off some scalper's hands . . .

Try one of you local stadiums and see if they can get tickets, sometimes another team can get tickets to unavailable games.... (e.g Cleveland or Cincinati).

The fax number is disconnected, so I e-mailed the webmaster and it was cleared quickly for them to post.

My faxed permission failed every time I sent it.
I'd like to know who to email also.

Hey Everybody - just doing a quick :drive: while I am in-between errands. Cold and grey and cold - and did I mention cold here in grey and cloudy Norwalk - a high of 58 is predicted but my phone says 59.

My bones hurt - am trying to warm them up - DH says I have the hands of a cold fish - (as long as he doesn't add cold, dead fish to I'm fine with that)

Anyway, I wonder if there will be a part 4 by the time I get back.

Missed chat last night - was it fun? Anything I missed. Roger - e-mailed you my RSVP. Anything else? Nope for now. Later

Julie - I :lovestruc your pictures - but OMG! She's only 13??????? Wow - I love how they all look different yet I see you in each one of them. You Go Girl! Your youngest looks sweet - don't you wish they all stayed that way?

BTY, anyone read that story about the Broadway actor that played the Beast on Beauty and the Beast? Pleaded guilty to misdeanor child endangerment of a minor for having inappropriate sexual contact with a 15 yo several years back. Then a month later - she ended up at his apartment. Long story short - he plead guilty and since its a misdemenor does not have to register as a sex offender. :confused3

What type of phone is it. I can get you the instructions.

It's a Motorola E815 & my carrier is Verizon. I tried following the troubleshooting directions from myxertones but I couldn't for the life of me get it to work. :confused3

I did get the Mickey Mouse March from one of those "free" websites & it worked, but turns out they send you a text message every month at a cost of $10! What a racket! But anyway, that message went right to my ringtones & these won't. I get the text message & when I open the message I can listen to the horn, but I can't save it to my ringtones.
