Has anyone else seen this! :lmao: :rotfl2:

I have DH bidding on a tiara for me at eBay (all of you have inspired me to get a new one!) and he ran across this. He tried to convince me it would be "better" than the one I've picked out :rotfl:

Bellelinus- What type of excursion is the Jolly Pirate? Is it family friendly? Is this a Disney sponsored excursion.

Hi! No, it's not a Disney excursion . . . here is the link:

http://www.jolly-pirates.com/

It gets really good reviews from virtually everyone who has been on it and it is for the entire family . . . lots of us have already booked for the day in Aruba. We are in Aruba for so long you can do this (a snorkeling trip) and still have time to do something else (relax on the beach, shop, etc.). But since it is not a DCL excursion, you have to get to the place, and I was posting that taxi rates are quite reasonable. I believe you can also take a city bus for about $1.30 per person, but once you put 4 or 5 people in a taxi, the difference hardly seems worth it to me.

Let me know if you want any more information.

Say...

... that's right. Todays' friday chat again - and I'll be at my daughters gynastics classes - so I'll not check in on CHAT until perhaps the middle of it - if at all.

We got aBucca de Beppo coupon in the email yesterday for the weekend - and we're thinking about doing DL on superbowl sunday then hit the Bucca afterwards.... or maybe we'll do something else for supper. Who knows? We have no precise plans as yet - except "I" wanna go up into the mountains for some snow play - which is shaping up into a Saturday thing. Maybe - maybe - maybe I should check the weather forecast before I get set into any plans.

So - I don't even KNOW who's playing superbowl sunday. What kind of guy am I? Well... my spouse used to say she liked that aspect of me when we met 24+ years ago.... that I'm not the sports absorbed sort. And I used to think it was my charming personality she was drawn to.

Got home from work and a package was waiting for me....mt tiara!

"Mirror, mirror, on the wall..."

Looks great Debi!!!

Actually, now that you mention it, it is BOTH Toms, but I think we meant Tom31B at that instant . . . wow, put Crash in the equation with Tom and Cheryl and we are going to need a lot of good karma from the rest of us to have smooth sailing!:goodvibes

With Tom, Crash, and Cheryl, I think we have our own pirate version of the Bermuda triangle!:scared1:

Great Tiara Pam.. ae you gonna get it??

See that's the problem..... MCO to Dulles isn't that expensive... It's the Dulles or BWI to LAX or LGB that's the pricey one.....

I have no problem flying home on SWA from MCO.... Those fares will probably only be $89 on opening day and might get a ding for lower..

I have seen dings for LA....but considering this trip..... I really just feel better booking the fllights while they're open...

Long Beach is like really really close..... and not as huge as LAX. I'm good with it.

I was a bit worried about the flight from MCO being on a holiday, so I booked as soon as I found a good time for us that wasn't too bad :confused3
DS starts high school the next day making the timing more important than it ordinarily would be:confused3

I'm hoping to fly Jet Blue into Long Beach if those fares come down:rolleyes:
We've been to LA before so we're just going straight to the Doubletree at the port.

I scanned my old slides from my wedding. Just a few as FIL was snapping some for his own. Speaking of cakes. I hated the traditional sponge cakes and opted for a chocolate rum cake. Yes Captain RUM. Here is the pic I have and mind you this was in 1969. We were just babes.Tiers and all and yes, my hair was back and up. I don't think I would've liked it down but it took about an hour to comb that do out.

Hi Arlene

Hope you are both well.

Helen loves the photo. What a great idea for a cake.

I would love to get an emerald!!! :thumbsup2 I think I will have more trouble getting DH off the ship in Columbia. He is listening to many people from work telling him not to get off the ship.:sad2: :sad2:

Isn't the ship itself a REALLY BIG target:rolleyes1

;)

I know it is easier to say than do, but it's your day & your hair!
The 2 things I gave in to for my mom were the veil & the cake. I didn't want to wear a veil, but I gave in (didn't wear it over my face). And Mom insisted that the cake have pillars. Keep in mind this was 1994, when a wedding cake withou pillars was a pretty radical ideal.:)

I may say I wear my hair down I wear a veil..(she wants the veil..me not so much!)

Bo is all grown up now, and we STILL don't know what we got! He was a fluffy little puppy and now he has smooth, short hair with a bit of curl to it. We had thought there was a lot of Lab in him, but have also been told Pit Bull.
What a cutie! I like the chinny wiskers!

Almost 50 years old and my Mom is still always on my case about my hair. She doesn't do it as often now that I've cut it short, but when it was long she was constantly asking me if I was "going to do something with that hair".

I have cut a few times for locks for love....but as my hair is long (I look weird with short hair) I put my hair up for work (I am freaked about lice:scared1: at school) so when I don't work I loike it down.Plus I can have options!

Chrissie, that's so nice of your Mom to get gifts for your attendants. :lmao: What are you going to get them?

That's awesome!

Mister Emerald looks good. But I'm going to check a store down in Woodbridge VA first to see if they recommend anyone:confused3
We should get a group of us together and see if we can get a group discount:woohoo:
I would be in on that!!!

Mary Ann: Glad everything is going well...I am sending wishes that it continues!!!

As soon as you said Big Fat Greek Wedding...OMG I know exactly the part! It is soooo true!!!!!!!!!:lmao:

Chrissie

OH!

And thank you everyone that are sharing your wedding stories! I love them and it makes even more excited to have mine!

I am a teacher. I have no clue when we go back in September....No worries!
I'll go back when I get back!:lmao:
Chrissie

Well apparantly I have found a way out of getting out of going to the office today. DD and I have Fifths Disease. What a pain. Fortunately the only pregnant person in the office was not in yesterday. Now I am happy to report my stint of driving to Downtown Dallas is done for the year.
Everyone have a great Friday!!!!

Coral

Oh Coral:hug:
Hope it gets better fast:flower3:

Hi Everyone...I'm doing pretty good, thanks. Have been very tired and we took a little trip to WDW last week to celebrate ending chemo - that didn't help that  . I got my procrit (sp?) shot yesterday and that seems to help quite a bit once it kicks in. However, I got some wonderful news yesterday that raised my spirits immensely.....

My tumor has shrunk to the point of being undetectable on the MRI I had Monday :cool1: :cool1: . I am so very grateful to all the Dr's and nurses who have taken care of me in the last months. They are really amazing!! I have a surgery date of Feb 15th. I had to make some pretty big decisions about all that yesterday, but I think I have made the right choices for myself.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: FANTASTIC NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I have to sit and do the business taxes this weekend, before I can even think of doing our personal ones.
No DIS for me this weekend. :sad1:

The accountants are coming to work a week from Monday to do ours and I still have quite a bit yet to do so I brought work home with me. Won't be spending much time DISing either.:sad1:

Hi everyone! Good Morning!

I just got off the phone with DCL...We are still on WLE...I guess the review the list everyday blah blah.....

Someone mentioned (I forgot who?! lol) about me planning early and the "moms" Brendan's mom hasn't offered anything....MY momhas been the advisor...we have only clashed once so far and that is about hair! I want it down she thinks my hair will look better up!
Everything else has been going pretty smoothly..where is some wood to knock on???

Have to go to my mom's work now...a coworker makes jewelry and mom thought (and told the woman!) they would make great attendant gifts!!!!!!!!!!!! (go ahead enjoy the laugh!:rotfl2: )

Chrissie

Yeah, I think that was me:yay:

I tried to please both Mom's when I could:confused3 My Mil wanted me to wear a veil, so I did (for about 30 seconds until my Dad lifted it to kiss me;) ).
My Mom and I have similar tastes so we agreed on most stuff too:goodvibes
My parents had a big say in the menu since they were paying for most of it:confused3 (I can't remember what the food was anyway:lmao: ) But Darren and I picked the flavors of the cake:woohoo:

I wore my hair down, but had a person come to my parent's house to blow dry it for me so that it wasn't so frizzy:goodvibes

A compromise would be to wear half your hair up (pull back the front with a fancy hair clip) and curl the ends (big curlers). My friend did that for her wedding and it looked gorgeous. (I wish I had thought to do mine that way:rolleyes: )

That is what I am trying to get her to see...have up little loose curls and beautiful tiara!!!LOL:bride:
