Don't know if it's been posted, but with all the airfare talk today I decided to check Jet Blue. They are booking through Sept 2.

Firstly re jab's, we do not get off in Panama, so we are safe, and most of the time we will eat the ship food, there is enough of that, you are only at risk, if you eat the local food, or drink non bottled water.

Normal UK jabs will cover you nothing extra required.

On the Flights, I have shed-loads of Virgin miles and wanted to use them, but Virgin was very slow, I contacted them, and they were disinterested in my booking.

BA, couldn't do enough to help me, so I thought I would try out their Club world seats and see what its all about.

I will try to use my Virgin miles in 09, for WDW. Some expire that year.

Yes, we have a lot a miles, and hoped to use them up on upgrades, but that didn't work out, so we'll try next year.

And now for my 2000th post.

I think that it is fitting that this is occurring on the anniversary of our booking. Just thinking to myself today that we have all know each other for a whole year now and still have 7 months to go. Anyway from all of you back East that think that we are sitting around under plam I mean palm trees sipping umbrella drinks here is a photo from around the corner. Good thing is that the s***w is over there and we are over here.

For anyone who is thinking about or who has already booked transfers thru DCL from DLR to the Port, the schedule is as follows: The bus will leave first from the Disneyland Hotel at 12:00 pm, Paradise Pier at 12:10 and Grand Californian at 12:20

Now back to your regularly scheduled fluff...

Thanks for the great welcome from everyone. Great piece of info...was wondering what time the bus left.

Yeah the Labor Day is what I am afraid of too....especially since we HAVE to get the kids to school the next day.

Not only do we have to get our kids to scholl but many of us are teachers and have to go back that next day too. It will take some careful planning!;)

Good Friday morning.

Raining with temps hovering at 33 in Philly. Two hour school delay. Boo.

good morning all! TGIF!!!
rainy here too...and i could only wish that there were a 2 hr delay....but nope...my kids are home for the day! they are using their last snow day today...and it's only january. our school is strange...we live in an area that they know we will use snow days...yet, this year there were only 2 or 3 days built into the schedule for it. we are out already! ridiculous!! so, now they will start taking away the spring break in april. ugh!
oh well, hope you all have a great friday! stay safe!

Leaving at 5 am. for train to Chicago on Friday. Off to Michigan for son's wedding on Saturday. We now have 5 inches of snow so far!!!!!!

I hope Cheryl and John made it to their train OK - It is a miserable morning here in the Chicago area. Nearly all the schools are closed (including my DS8's) and they are reporting the roads are awful. It is supposed to continue snowing until lunchtime. Total accumulation is supposed to be between 6" to 12" depending on where you are. DH and DS are out shoveling right now. looking out the window (yes, I'm lazy and letting them do it! :lmao: ) it looks like we have about 7"-8" here. I'm betting my DF will be calling any minute to tell me NOT to come into work (one of the big plusses of working for Dad - he doesn't want me to drive in this type of stuff! :thumbsup2 )

No delay for us. I guess that's a good thing or I would either have to skip school or bring them with me. :scared1: And even more important than school, a bunch of us are going for Thai food for lunch and I'd hate to miss that!:thumbsup2

Don't know if it's been posted, but with all the airfare talk today I decided to check Jet Blue. They are booking through Sept 2.

Jetblue has been out for a while, so the prices may have gone up a bit . . . We are flying into Long Beach, then going to Huntington Beach for a few days, then Disneyland. I have to wait for them to release the rest of Sept. to get my return flight since we are doing the 5 night Magic cruise after this one.

Our school district adds in 5 sn*w days per school year, last year we only used one sn*w day. So far, none used this school year.........:)

Well apparantly I have found a way out of getting out of going to the office today. DD and I have Fifths Disease. What a pain. Fortunately the only pregnant person in the office was not in yesterday. Now I am happy to report my stint of driving to Downtown Dallas is done for the year.
Everyone have a great Friday!!!!

Have a great day everyone:goodvibes

Very true! I keep hoping that it might show up as a video clip at either CNN or KIVA's website... I am also using this as part of my argument about why we should just get digital cable and a DVR (although I hate the thought of giving Comcast even more money every month!)

Pamela

Pamela....digital cable is worth it in my opinion. Our digital cable box has a "block out" feature that our old box didn't have. We have all programs rated above "PG" blocked out. So, if the kids are home during the day and flipping through channels, they can't stumble upon Jerry Springer or anything like that, because it's blocked. You can override any blocked program with a code, that only my dh and I know. We also have all kids channels like Cartoon Network, Nick and Disney blocked so that we can monitor how much they are watching. If they want to watch a program, they have to ask me to unblock it, and when the program is over, it automatically returns to blocked.

Also....I LOVE our DVR. I have a hard time watching programs during their original airing now. I have an urge to fast forward the commercials. It's such a time saver, and incredibly easy to use!

Most of them also let you hide adult titles, so flipping through, kids don't see blocked channel with "Mr. Smith's Big....." or "Sorority girls doing...." inviting fun questions....
