It looks like there is some interest in forming our own tour group - maybe I should start keeping a list of those who expressed interest!!
Do you boys enjoy touring around new places? I'm not sure if DGS Matt (71/2yrs then) will want to go.

I'm not too worried about the kids. I figured this was one place for a history tour. They might never get the chance to go back and it seems to be steeped in history. Plus, we have Jolly Roger's Jolly Pirate adventure to look forward to for fun. :goodvibes

Hey Crash!
Are you and yours feeling better? It seems like everyone has been sick at least some time this winter.

Elmo-Saturday-Night-Fever--23317.jpg

The little one had a high fever in the morning again... but through the day and evening it looks like shes' shaken it - as I seem to have overcome my cough too. But I did feel like I had a fever yesterday... as did my spouse. now she seems better too.

Now if only we could get rid of all this RAIN we've been having lately....

Tom, (aka Crash)
Before I call it a night - I just want to say I am really looking forward to meeting you/Alicia & your girls. I do hope you can make it to the March DL meet. If not - perhaps I can think of another time/place.
You are such a fun guy - so happy we are cruising together!!

You're too kind Chris...

... you should be warned I have been lingering ill lately and am NOT entirely myself...
so my shady side has not been seen in full bloom for some time....

BEware...

Seriously, I am surprised how slowly I've recovered from this nagging cough. I still have a little bit of it and some clingy junk in my throat... but it is mostly going away. Now, my little one is showing fresh signs of a beginning cough. AND THAT really annoys me as I feel this years flu - like cough is a tough bug.

And again, Chris, thank you for the kind and neighborly thoughts.
On the ship we'll have ta sit down and "talk story" while we chomp on Mickey Bars, OK?

I love Cadburys. especially the Flake bar. We do have it here in the States. Publix has a section in their store for our British visitors .They get over $1.00 for the Flake bar. They also sell those cookies you guys are always posting about.

I love Flakes:goodvibes . Must have something to do with having Scottish parents and getting hooked on Cadbury 99's on trips to Scotland when I was younger. For the last few years my Dad has given me a box of Flakes (48) at Christmas time. Sadly, he passed way in July and Santa didn't come thru on my box last Xmas :sad2:

Told you, cant beat our Chocolate! why is yours so bad????

Also other great British exports:-

  • Winnie the pooh.
  • Nature programmes.
  • Dancing with the stars. (Strictly come dancing)+ Len and Bruno
  • Cat Deely- please keep.
  • Simon Cowell-Please shoot.
  • Fern Cotton and Ant and Dec, watch out their coming!

But you gave us Star Trek, so...:worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

But you also gave us Gordon Ramsay and Kitchen Nightmares. Can't wait til April 1.

We were able to swap into a cabin that my sister was going to cancel. Now our kids are able to join their cousins on this cruise of a lifetime. I tried to keep up with the original thread but it moved too fast. I'm glad you have a new thread that's not as intimidating. We are a group of 11. 5 adults, 3 boys aged 22, 13 and 10 and 3 girls aged 15, 11 and 8. I've been chosen as the planner for our group and I'm going to try and join in on the planning here.

Ed-

:cheer2: :cheer2: Welcome :cheer2: :cheer2: This is a great bunches of swabbies and wenches.

I have DS 13 and a DD 12. PM me if your crew would like to email my crew and get to know each other before the cruise.

I did not realize your son would be 13 in Sept. Mine will turn 13 on August 14 which will be our first day in Disneyland:love:

First stop - City Hall to get him a Birthday button. I'll never forget watching the Band Conductor lead the Band to a Cast Only door and then he came back and proceeded to sing Happy Birthday to this little girl who couldn't have been more than 6. You could have heard a pin drop on Main Street at that time. Wish I had a video camera for that moment.

Maybe we could get a group of us together for a birthday dinner at Goofy's Kitchen. That would make him feel real special. What day do you arrive?

I was personally enjoying all the banter! Some of us Americans really do have a sense of humor! :goodvibes

Oh & don't forget Hugh Laurie! My DD & her ST friends all think House is the best show on TV! :confused3

:

Hugh Laurie! House!

But you also gave us Gordon Ramsay and Kitchen Nightmares. Can't wait til April 1.

Yes you seem to be getting all our shows and presenters a this time.

Morning all!

Do you like polls?

Do you not like polls?

  • A. If you saw a poll about liking polls, but didn't like polls would you answer it?
  • B. If you are approached in the Mall about a poll, would you:-
  • 1. Walk the other way.
  • 2. Say no thanks.
  • 3. Give all the opposite answers to what you really believe.
  • C. Would you ever inflate the response, out of pride, in a poll,
  • IE, how many relationships you have had, or boost the amount you tip, or are paid?
  • Z. Is the only Poll you like the one with a dancer on it? (OK Ladies, a fireman on it?)

Send your answers to Poland and they will digest the results and evaluate your responses.

Warning, Polls can have a 100% margin of error either +/-,and can go up or down.

My DS turns 13 in late July!

Excellent !!

OK, Stace is NOT invited on the Cartegena excursion. She's apparently a guerilla magnet.

Just kidding...luv ya Stace ;)

Chris - my response last night got lost in multi-quote he--. My kids will come along for the history part. They may not be completely engaged for the entire time, but if we prep them with some basic information, they seems to like historical stuff. They actually enjoyed the I-cant-spell-the-name ruins we went to in Coasta Maya on our last cruise. I'm sure they will enjoy it even more if there are other kids involved.

Look what I found in the urban dictionary for "Rugby Queen":

A woman who shows up to the "after party" post rubgy game. The party typically includes lots of drinking and this woman is sang to by the players. Her anatomical features are enhanced by song from head to toe. It (the rugby queen tradition) is a joy for all attending.

Julie came to the party after the game, she was pronounced "The Rugby Queen" and a song broke out about her.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The example sentence was exactly as shown here, except I bolded the name!

:rotfl: :rotfl:
Yeah, and there is usually flashing involved. Since you have such vast Mardi Gras experience...

OK, people, I'm kidding. This is a family cruise.
Sincerely,
M.
former Rugby Queen

Yeah, I was just thinking that I would rather go on a smaller DIS group tour than a big DCL one.
And as Andrew pointed out if we stick to approved sites and transports we should be fine:)

Who speaks Spanish ?

I would like a cold beer.
Where is the bathroom?
My grandmother is large.
Please stand clear of the doors.

That's it.

Saw some of you in chat tonight!! It certainly was busy, thanks for your patience and congrats Pam!!

More thanks for understanding the long thread situation. I was a bit challenged when it came to removing the poll as you suggested. That's why it looks a bit odd. :badpc:

I hope that I've given you some assurance that your thread will return. If there's something specific that you need to retrieve from that thread before we're able to bring it back, please PM me. No promises that I'll be able to find what it is, but I'll do my best to help.

Yeah, we REALLY need the map of liquor stores located near DL!
It's a matter of life or death!
:)

So I leave and go to WDW for a long weekend and find that all of the threads have moved..:confused3 WOW what excitment!!! anyway I found you and I am back...

Welcome back! I'm glad you had fun!

We have 2 or those torches hanging on either side of a huge POC Black Pearl framed movie poster in the Boy Cave (kids play room). It looks way cool.

The boys wanted a Hollywood theme for their play room - it looks pretty cool.

OK, off to hockey.

Morning Pirates, it took me 2 hours to ketchup 30 pages.
I'm using DH laptop, boy I am really looking forward for this cruise.
Unfortunately I have a lot going on this year. DH and I are going on a short trip to Puerto Rico in early March, My oldest DS is getting married in June, and we are in charge of boy scout fundraisers such as memorial day picnic, 4th of July, and the balloon festival and the planning of this cruise. I had paid most of this cruise off yesterday, so it is really happening. We thought we would have to cancel this cruise. Thank goodness we are not.

:surfweb:

GM pirate:

Presently 55 going up to 66 here in sunny Central Florida. :goodvibes

:grouphug:  pixiedust: and prayers to everyone who is going to need it today

:welcome: aboard to all the newbies

Happy Birthday and Anniversary to all we have missed

Have a great Sunday

We were held up at gunpoint once in Guatemala. We were in a private van with a driver hired by the resort we were staying at, in the jungle on our way to the Tikal ruins, when some guerrilla-types came out of the jungle with machine guns and made the van stop, made us all get out, searched the van, stole our friend's beer and then (thank god) let us go. Right up until that point, I had been asking the driver if there was a place with a restroom nearby. After that, I didn't need it.

They only stole the BEER and let you go? I could take along some extra beer to Colombia to offer to any potential kidnappers if you think that would work:rotfl:

This can apply to either Tom!!!! :lmao: Some of you will be too young to remember a cartoon called

Tom Terrific!!!!

tomterrific.gif

Great graphic, Cheryl! Was this a TV show, or a comic book type thing????

Edited to say: Thanks Crash for answering my questions a few posts later!
