Let's see....my son has attended school exactly 1 1/2 days since Dec 12. No trauncy notice, no phone calls (except the daily annoying recorded..your child has missed periods 1, 2, 5 - they never get it right), no letters, nothing. Of course his counselor does know of the situation, but I have not provided any notes or doctors excuses.

So if I take him out for 4 or 5 days next year for TOAL, I highly doubt they will say or do anything.

Here the kids do band camp the week before school starts and it is mandatory they attend. They learn the marching patterns etc. If a child were to miss it they would not be in band. She won't take nay excuses at all......

We never go back before Labor Day here unless Labor is really late so I thought I was completely safe booking this cruise until my neighbor told me about this article in our local paper! Now I don't know what to do since my DD is starting highschool & DS is starting middleschool!

We are planning on going straight to the hotel when we get in so we won't be able to join you all there

It's about a 6 hour flight for us on the 16th. And we figure to relax at the hotel and get up early the next morning (and save money for shopping ).

I was hoping to meet up with some other DISers who have gone the same route.

Your meet at Fantasmic sounds great (I'm a bit jealous )

Todd, our Fantasmic meet on the Saturday night is going to be pretty informal -- we will just post where we will be and at what time and whoever is already around DL and wants to come, can . . . lots of people aren't doing DL, but we'll see them the next day!

My sister sent me a copy of the receipt for the canopy tour in PV she booked through puertovallertatours at Los Veranos. It lists our time as 11:30! Isn't that in between everyone else? Maybe that's just when we leave the office? I just sent them an e-mail.

Mine says 11:30 too -- even though I know I originally booked 11 -- I just checked my receipt and it says 11:30 . . .

The Blue Bayou is for the March meet, and Fantasmic is the night before we embark on the cruise -- at least I'm pretty sure that is correct!

Stace - if you ask - Nemo has a viewing room for wheelchair bound people. You don't go down the stairs instead they put you in a room with plasma tvs - AND its cool. You might want to ask about that. I had a friend who was limping with her cast and she was put in there along with her party of 5.

She told me that you got to 'see' more than if you were crowded into one window. Try that route.

The "Escaping Moms" and I are at the Doubletree....and a few others I think. A meeting ahead of time would be GREAT!!

Okay...I backed up and now I follow! The "Moms" aren't going to be at Disneyland before the cruise. We'll drive over and go straight to the hotel. Probably find someplace fun to eat over there. So I guess we'll miss the Fantasmic meet.
