Doreen, that's Marty? With the white towel around his neck? It doesn't look like him.. are you talking about him somewhere else in the photo? Where?!
(ps that's you in the photo too, isn't it? I think I see you.......)

Heyyy Cheryl is in a chair in the background of this picture too, isn't she?

do you think deck 2 was busier because of the OQ? I kinda noticed that on my FE exchange runs too.... and when going down there to talk to/get Robert from OQ and such...

Did you have a treasure chest sitting outside your room or something?

The treasure chest was a small cardboard treasure chest my wife found at a party supply shop. Kind of something you'd use to put party favors in for a Pirate party. It was perfect for what we needed. We hung it on our stateroom door and cut a slit in the top so people could drop off their entries.

As for the kids on the 2nd floor, it may have been OQ. I just seemed to notice a lot more noise down there filtering through the hallways at night.

joel..? you guys..made my trip, :thumbsup2 . how about those bobcats!

Great to track you down Lil' Grump. I have my tickets ready for the big OSU/Ohio game tomorrow! Just hope we don't get too embarrassed.

Crash- if you took photos of my door please send them to me!!! pretty please!

Oh and you're right- I have heard about other locals here with the coughing bug. But I don't see how *I* could have gotten it from anyone around *here* -since I started coughing almost immediately when we got home. I guess it's just going around everywhere! :(

It's Global Coughing I tell ya, Global Coughing.......Crash is Innocent :rotfl2:

Andy (severely missing the TOAL)

What department do I get in exchange for the video of you and Deanna "dirty dancing"? :)
Forget that! I bet Deanna knows where you live. I'm sending Howard Hunt and Gordon Liddy to break in and get the tape. You'll get it back with 18 1/2 minutes missing.

Yes M, I DO know where he lives! I am pretty sure Joel could get me to pay a deposit on his next cruise just to ensure that video never surfaces!

Debbie....

... here's the same moment in the photo above ... however, taken from a slightly different angle revealing WHY Kristina was paddling with such determination.... here's the alternate ANGLE photo below:

At 9:00 a.m., the captain got onto the p.a. system and made it official: Castaway Cay is scrubbed and, because there is no other port nearby that can accommodate us in this weather, we will be spending the day at sea as we begin to make our way back to Port Canaveral, estimated time of arrival 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.

When he spoke to the island manager at Castaway Cay, the manager reported that they were still experienced sustained winds of 50 mph and the seas were very rough. So, let's keep the people who live on Castaway Cay in our prayers.

Brent, our cruise director, stated that they were busy making up a new Navigator to include the things that they have added for this day at sea. We should have those in our staterooms in 45 minutes or so.

We are still travelling around 12 knots in rough seas and severe winds. The captain also assured the passengers not to worry about the rough seas or the tipping and turning that the ship is doing. He said that the ship is quite capable of navigating in these kinds of seas. He is either trying to keep people assured or is responding to some people who have already panicked. I do not know for sure.

Well, I guess that is all for now. Disney Dreams is tonight's show. They will also have a matinee of it. I will be at both.

I have also received my departure information. I have luggage tags for the airline and my luggage needs to be outside my stateroom between 9:00 and 11:00 p.m. tonight. I have also received my boarding pass for my flight as well. This airport check-in perk is really nice. Once I put my luggage outside my room tonight, I do not have to worry about it as I will not see it until I am back at Chicago O'Hare tomorrow evening! That makes things really convenient!

It has been a wonderful three weeks on the cruise and I am ready to go home and get back into my work again.

Thanks, Disney!

The weather here is pretty carppy. Windy and raining. Enjoy the day on the Magic. sorry you guys didn't get to CC. Better safe.

Good morning all! For anyone interested in the Tall Ships that were in LA or needs info for school reports, I have posted the contents of a small book on the Tall Ships on smugmug under embarkation.

We are packing up again today and heading to San Francisco after school. I would love to meet up with out SF pirates but we will be attending a wedding and rather pressed for time. Good news is that we get cake: :cool1: (really good cake, groom works for a bakery)

Monica
Would love to meet up with you and anyone else in March. I just need to know as far out as possible to ask for time off. Todd mentioned something about November too.

Cheryl
I wish we could have spent more time with you and John but the kids had their own ideas about our free time. If you come out to LA next year we will definitely get together.

My forehead is peeling! I look like I have leporesy! :scared1: Good thing I have bangs!

Good morning everyone!

Glad to hear that everyone has/is gotten/getting home safely.

We are slowly getting back into the swing of things. DD is getting into school and likes her new teacher. She also has a new teacher for language arts this year and a smaller group. She is starting band this year and chose the trumpet. This year instead of pulling them out of class, the kids have to choose if they are doing general music (choir), orchestra or band. Rental night is the 17th and the rental is $25 per month with the option to buy. I think we will rent the first semester to make sure she wants to really do this. Oh and than the band book too! But since she is only taking one dance class this year, I still come out good! :thumbsup2

Work is still a trip. Seems the co-worker I asked to keep an eye on part of my job and our supervisor tried to pass the work along to our manager! What are these folks thinking? :confused3 Since when do you give higher-ups works? :scared1: I had all my stuff completed and organized so things could be found.

I really miss you guys! I keep expecting to run into some of you and well you guys aren't here! :guilty:

I have been looking at the pics and they look great. I need to get a better camera. Why is it that when I review it on the camera, it looks crisp and in focus and when I veiw it on my laptop it's fuzzy? UGH!

When are you having the sleepover ????? Sure miss you!!
John has the crud and I think I might have been allergic to the feather pillows. :headache:

House still under construction so it probably won't be till after the holidays, but I'll keep you updated I promise! I know how to contact you! :goodvibes

Tell John I hope he feels better soon! I miss you guys!!! :guilty:

i'm sorry,,all shook up?..not getting up to lounge..where you all were
having ..the times..of your life. ha! i saw miscmce! "mousing around, no

Would've been nice if you could've joined us, but I'm glad I got to say Hi! With a cruise so full of activities it's tough to find time to meet, but we definitely had some late nights at the bahs! ;)

Yes M, I DO know where he lives! I am pretty sure Joel could get me to pay a deposit on his next cruise just to ensure that video never surfaces!

Thanks, Disney!

Sorry you didn't make to CC! Hope everyone stays safe & sound! :wizard:

Catching up on emails. Got this one and I know it is totally non Disney but had to share. Oh there is even a zip line.:lmao:

http://www.oasisoftheseas.com/

I priced the Oasis out as soon as we got home. I know some people think it's way too big, but I really think the central park is so cool & we've cruised RCCL before & really like them. For a family of 4 in a balcony overlooking central park for August/2010 it was $5200. A bit pricey for a non-ocean view, but we're considering it.

Wish I had time to catch-up on the posts here -- maybe this weekend as I begin organizing pictures.

It was great meeting so many of you on the TOAL, but I know we didn't meet everyone. We had a great time but are glad to be home after three weeks of vacation.

Hope everyone on the 5 day is safe! This was our first cruise where one of us got seasick. I can't imagine what it'd be like on the outskirts of Hanna.

One question-- did anyone buy a T-Shirt at Los Veranos Zipline? We did and the first time we washed it, the lettering mostly came off. We plan to take a picture and send it to them, but I'm not counting on having any luck with a replacement.

Did anyone happen to take a picture of the Mom's doors??
It wasn't until I got home and was downloading pictures that I realized I didn't take any! I can't believe I forgot that.

BTW...thanks Mike, for the Mario pic. He came home with me.:lovestruc

Ouch is right! There's got to be a better way! ;)

BTW just want to thank you again Arlene for making Cheryl & I "official" Raywatch girls! The t-shirt was so thoughtful! I loved it!

Also want to thank whomever put my quote about hassle free booking...zero dollars, etc. on a magnet! I was seriously touched by that!

And to everyone for ALL the FE gifts! They were all so fun to get & we really enjoyed checking every time we went back to the room to see if we had anything new. I was afraid our door was going to look a little bare since I only made a few magnets, but wow I had nothing to worry about because my door was FULL of magnets by the end of the cruise. I've got to say that not much of the candy made the trip home either. You think we'd have been to stuffed to jam candy down our throats too, but oh no we managed just fine!

Thanks again to all for making this truly a Trip of a Lifetime!!! :grouphug:
