Hey Laura.....I was just thinking the only way you are gonna pack is to turn the computer off...but you beat me to it! :rotfl: Have fun with the packing!!

:yay: Pam! Wish you were still going with us. I was about to shut off when Megan sent me a video of my MIL driving my girls on Skyline Drive in CO. :scared1:

Remember this is the lady that hung a U-turn on a one way street! :scared1: She worries me sometimes but I told Megan to go in the back street and put April in front. Course she didnt and the video although grainy - I could hear one of the girls go OH NO! :lmao: I say - better them than me.

OK - now I'm really getting going - Andrew's bugging me for $$$.

Looks like we will be boarding the furr kids. Oh yeah, ripped into him - apparently he had a fight with a vacuum and he lost! Wait till I get my hands on the girl - I don't care if she's 25 - this is my son - no more hose fights! :lmao:

That reminds me - need a color on Tuesday! See ;) that's why I come on here - people remind me what I need to do.

:rotfl2:

That's great news Andrew! Unfortunately, the suitcase fairy is not visiting the east coast today, probably not tomorrow either, so I guess I really need to start getting it in the suitcase. Although I do have most of it out on the dining room table and organized, does that count for packing???? :confused3

Debi

We are making progress - shoes, toiletries, FE holder and FE gifts, door magnets all packed. Sometime this week the clothes go in

I did mine in Microsoft Word. I'll assume that you have that since most people do.

Let me give you some quick step-by-steps. Practice a couple and it comes real easy then.

1. Go to Word
2. At the top menu, click View>Toolbars>WordArt
3. On the WordArt tool bar, click the left hand icon (Insert WordArt)
4. Choose one of the styles and click "OK"
5. Type in text and click "OK"
6. Right click on your text and click on "Format WordArt"
7. Click Color>Fill Effect>Picture
8. Select a picture file from your drive and click "OK"
9. You should see the picture in the letters of your WordArt.

Good luck . . . and have fun with this. I know that I am!

Here is one that I made for one of my friend's sons who worked in the College Program at Disney last year. He was a CM at the Nemo ride at EPCOT. It worked out perfectly since his picture formatted to the "L" in Kyle.

Thanks, I'll give it a whirl!
Although I really don't even know if I have Microsoft Word.
LOL

oops- don't see microsoft word. I see microsoft word viewer- which I imagine isn't the same thing?
shucks

Ok everybody... take a deep breath and go back and take out 1/2 of what you packed... :lmao: (I certainly didn't need it all!!!)

OMG Debi - yeah ::yes:: we got stories to exchange - I was bitten by a neighbor's dog in part due to my sister and got stitches in my right wrist and forearm. Can't tell you how many times I was called Frankinstein. My own sister told me that I was made by an evil scientist - you guessed it - I was 5 yrs old. I still freak when I see any German Shepard. I know its in how you raise them and what you are doing but as a 42 yo woman - I still freak and cross the street. When I'm walking Isis I have to fear - she has proven herself to me - she has come between me and a GIANT mixed chow that attacked me on a bike ride, then when she looked over at me to see if I was ok - decided to run off with the dang boy dog to play! I was more embarrassed as I hit the street and curb but really glad I wasn't seriously hurt.

People are cruel and Andrew doesn't talk about his incident. Although we did have to send him to therapy which he quit after 2 months. Refused to go. However, he does have an awesome scar on his left upper thigh. We told him to tell everyone that a shark got him and ripped him his leg to pieces. Yikes! Don't need that memory in my brain - suffice it to say - he has a whopper of a scar on his leg and puncture marks on his arm and behind.

Darn It Andrew! You were supposed to send her here afterwards........what have you done with her and why is she mad? :confused3

:lmao:

REWARD

LOST LUGGAGE FAIRY!
:tinker:
Small, Lime Green and moves in a flurry. If found please return to the nearest DIS Boarder as she is desparately needed to complete her job!

Laura,
How old is your son now? I never liked to talk about it when I was a kid either, still really don't. Like I said, not too many people know that about me, cause they don't ask, even tho I am sure most people are curious. We will definitely have to get together and share stories. Maybe even Andrew too if he wants to.

D

Thanks!
Well we leave TOMORROW- so it's either her nails tonight or not at all. I suppose I COULD be persuaded to do it on one of our "hotel days" this next week (I plan on doing DL every other day/hotel every other day to take it kinda easy plus only pay for 3 days tickets LOL) but it will take some major kissing up- let me tell you LOL

I don't mind you worrying with me. I'm a worrywart anyway- the more the merrier! LOL
The thing is- I worry about things all the time so Jeff is so used to it that he totally neglects to realize that SOMETIMES there really IS something big to worry about and he should join me in atleast caring. I mean for crying out loud. It's like he thinks our kids are invincible or nothing bad could happen to us. I don't have the luxury of feeling so carefree about things- one of us has to do the worrying! LOL

Well I'm working on luggage and I somehow managed to cram things in tighter and now I'm down to 4 carryons (prefer carryons so I know the items in the luggage won't disappear! atleast not on the flight LOL) and 2 checked luggage! (I had 4 checked luggage- I did some taking out of stuff and cramming things in tighter too LOL)
Now I have a decision to make.. do I go ahead and take JEFF'S checked luggage with us since that would still only be 3 checked luggage (for the 4 of us)? It willl be more luggage for us to mess with- but on the other hand I don't have to worry about Jeff forgetting it, or worry about them giving him a hard time about the free checked luggage thing (since we bought the tickets way before this fee started but don't actually have the tickets to prove that... just a printed out thing of the email we got for the tickets and have to check in/print boarding pass only within 24hrs of the flight). So he'd be able to just grab his carryon and go straight to security.

OH who am I kidding... this is one more thing I can "control" so ofcourse I'm gonna deal with his checked luggage. LOL

Wow, can't believe you get everything into 2 checked bags, but I really think you should check the third - think of all the souveniers you will be bringing back, so you might need extra room. LOL.

I wish I was still going also, but I will just live it thru all of you that are going!! I will be ready to do another live report thru the canal!! But hey, I will see you in Florida in 3 weeks! Just bring me a couple post cards and I wil be fine!! :lmao:

I will keep Megan and April in my prayers! Just try not to think about all the "fun" they are having.

As for color...I am getting mine on Aug. 28!

Talk to you soon!!

I believe Andrew just turned 22 if I remember correctly...maybe 23.

Hey D - My Andrew is 22 and laughs it off now but every once in a while I see him skuttle out of way of some dogs - if they are big - he gets skittish. And keep in mind that this boy-child is 6'2". Fortunately, he's not going on this cruise - good thing or one of us would end up in the brig. :rotfl2:

But yes, we'll have to show our war wounds. Anyone else?

OH GREAT! I JUST HAD TO GO AND TRY IT! :headache:

Thank you FM! But next time please don't be so helpful! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: ;)

I am a Sheepshead Bay girl :)

Long Island till I graduated HS in 77, then went to college in upstate nY, now live in Staten Island. Always tell people the next island I move to will be someplace warm and tropical, maybe Cozumel.

Debi

OK folks, the lights are on on this old dino but I'm shutting the door to this office - so the lights are on but nobody is home!

Oh Luggage Fairy :tinker: please come back - I'm sorry I made you wait - I promise - I'm getting off! :worship:

If there is anyone who doesn't have trip insurance, please get it.

My step mother and her daughter called yesterday morning to tell us my father died. I asked when they were planning to have the funeral and they said Friday. I got a call later saying the family has decided to have the funeral on SUNDAY instead.

So I had to cancel. I'll get a refund. DCL refunded half yesterday and I have to turn in calm forms to the insurance company for the balance.

Since I didn't book airfare with DCL, I may be out of that expense.

Is there anyone here who hasn't purchased DL park passes yet? I have two of the three day Southern California passes. If someone needs them, they are yours (no charge). They expire on the 30. If I don't give them way, they will be wasted.

If anyone is interested, PM me and I'll overnight them before we head to South Carolina on Tuesday.

If no one here needs them, I'll try to give them away on DL board when I return.

Sorry to be a downer in the mist of all the excitement.

Enjoy your TOAL and please take/post plenty of pictures.

Love ya Tanya

I am so sorry for your loss....for your father, for the cruise. It breaks my heart, condolences for your family. We will miss you!
I keep looking at my empty suitcases whilst watching the Olympics but there not filling up, something is very wrong.:confused3
The same thing is happening here....:confused3

Talk with you soon Michelle - I am also doing last minute errands as of yesterday - finally with all stress DD6 finally found a pair of shoes she liked for her formal dress and it was a bit stressful. LOL :lmao: and we picked up our dresses at the tailors yesterday and they are just great. DD6 actually enjoyed being in her dress. Now I just got to convince her to do something with her hair and little nervous about that when the comes. She has a mind of her own :rolleyes1 :headache: But she is so cute at times too.

I am so excited to be leaving day after tomorrow! WOW!!
I understand the last minute errands, we tried to get them all done yesterday, but I have a feeling SOMETHING will come up our last day, Monday.

Bye everyone .. .Off to the airport. Next time I chat, I will be in Sunny California!!!  :dance3:

YAY! We will be there right behind you early Tuesday morning!!
oh, I meant to add this too...

don't forget to check your flight schedules. We discovered our flight home from MCO had been changed, luckily only by 30 minutes. We discovered it ourselves, no notice via Delta or TA! Other's in our group who not staying in WDW, discovered their flight had been changed also.

I know, I have had my flight home from Orlando change several times, and then add me onto another flight that left before my connection even came in!!!???? I called and they were able to refund it to me, so I had to book a completely new flight.

That picture made me laugh so hard!
I love it! Where did you get the pin graphics at? Nevermind, I need to be done with magnets too....
READY.........
pirates-in-caribbean.jpg
Yes!!!
Wooo hooooo! :thumbsup2 :woohoo:
We are back from Pinks! I will post some pictures..Chrissie and Brenden are as nice as I thought...the wait wasnit to bad..about half of an hour..by the time we left..it was a lot longer of a wait. They are off in Hollywood sightseeing and we are getting ready to go to a birthday party.
That sounds so fun! I am so looking forward to our dinner on Wednesday night, and maybe running into people on Tuesday!
My legs are white but I don't care.
My legs are white and I don't care.
jimmy crack corn and I don't care.
or something like that. :lmao:
Unfortunately I resemble that remark, being very fair skinned. I was thinking of doing some sort of fake one, but figured it would just wash/wear out in a few days anyway, so oh well!!!

Just got back from bringing the girls to camp. I only got a little teary eyed. :sad1: I had to convince DD9 to give me a hug, DD14 readily gave me one. I'll pick them up Friday afternoon.

Okay Laura, get off the computer now....:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Ducky only did 1/2 the cruise with us... he got on in Aruba...

Joey Fatone got on in Acapulco.

Thanks for the info. :thumbsup2 All my cruises have been with Ducky and I was wondering if he was going to do the full 15 night. He was on my last 10 night cruise the entire time.:woohoo:

Cheryl, he stayed on for the majority of the cruise - I think he got on before the PC and got off at CA I think. However, he was on for an extended length. If he was on the first week, he was VEWY, VEWY QUIET! :tiptoe:

How did I forget to ask you this.:confused3 :confused3

Was it Andrew the packing fairy at your door!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: He finished in minutes!!!:rolleyes1

Hey Laura.....I was just thinking the only way you are gonna pack is to turn the computer off...but you beat me to it! :rotfl: Have fun with the packing!!

You beat me to it Pam. :worship: :worship: Too bad you are not going this time. It might be awhile for our next cruise. :rolleyes1 I think I will keep rolling over ressies til one of the new ships are sailing.:rolleyes1
