Besides, he gets his hair cut every 2 weeks for about $12. I get my hair cut & colored every 3-4 months (for about $125) - so my yearly hair expense is only about $75 more than his!

My husband gets his hair cut every week. He's complaining because it will be 3 weeks without a hair cut. Who knows - he may find someplace to go while we are at one of the ports.

Got some things accomplished today.

DS's baldric finally came, now I just need to distress it a bit. Thing is, I don't know how to distress leather.

Completed re-working my Tia Dalma necklaces.

Got the last of DS's school supplies/clothes - bonus, the pants were on clearance for $7 each.

Got assorted blankets/sheets from the Thrift Store to mark save our Fantasmic spots.


Hmm...that doesn't seem like much, but it feels like I got a bunch done.

Family concerns for me is that my DS14 will listen to me and DD6 will not ask for things in store when we get on board LOL. - which I know that she will. Just have everything go smooth and safe for everyone.

Mine are fairly common I think... we got several family members gathering in our group - so I hope everyone makes it to the port without complication. No injuries, unmanagable surprises, etc..

Oh... on 2nd thought - there are a few SERIOUS concerns. I hope my Sister0in-law who is expecting (in her 3rd tirmester) can carry thier child until my BIL gets home from the cruise. Otherwise, my BIL may abruptly leave the ship and head home.... or at least be faced with wondering - anguishing over if there were any unexpected complicatons. Crazy - eh? However, I tend to be a bit of an optimist - and I tend to prepare for the worst at the same time.

Oh... yeah there are other complications too... but I think the proceeding is enough for spill for now. Let's just say any of you who are managing concerns or traveling with a wary attitude will NOT be alone - as I can be counted among your ranks!

So in a few minutes Alicia will be hosting our 1st AYSO socer team practice for the under age 8 team. The weekend is sort of busy with all manner of thing going on - we got a swim team championship meet saturday - a birthday party - then we're running a lemon-aid stand with all proceeds to benefit the Make A Wish foundation of Tri-counties... then sunday we have the AYSO soccer team meeting for UNDER age 6 girls to attend... followed by something else which I know we have but I can't recall the particulars right now....

.... so I really gotta go now...

... by the way... the Pirate Navigators are tremendous! One minor consideration... the listing of SKALLYWAG (7066 - Bren) as among the cabins open for VERANDAH visiting while transiting the PC .... is NOT matched by appearing on either the deck maps or list of DIS neighbors. An ommission that is probably inevitable - however one inconsistancy I noticed.

Yes. We got the private room for the solo travelers so DCL cancelled any reservations that anyone invovled in the group had.

I have a DS 15.. maybe our sons will meet up at some point..

My concern is that we all get along in such close courters..lol
I havent lived with my sister in over 20+ years..lol
Also, I hope I dont forget anything. We are planning a stop to WALMART for hair products so
I wont have to worry about them in the suitcase and the added weight for the plane..lol
We used the Joy Mangano scale and one main suitcase was only 33 lbs.. lots of rm to pack more or to bring more souvenirs..

QUick question....

How early do you think we can begin boarding the ship?

In all of our past sailings we've never been among the EARLY ones toget aboard... however, this time we will be trying to get on earlier. Anyone have an opinion on this?

Speaking of falls and accidents.. MY DSIS fell at home on her way to the airport to get to DISNEY WORLD in 2004 ,3 days prior to our cruise.. she was so bruised and scraped up.. she looked like she got beat up. Sad.. but funny when she told us how it happened..lol

Sigh...wasn't today supposed to be a lucky day?? My laptop kept freezing, and my tech guy looked at it (DH) and guess who needs a new hard drive?? DH was able to move all my data files to another drive, but since I can't boot up the laptop I have no access to my magent files . So I have to search the boards to find them again, or hope that DH will find the time to pop out my D drive and get them for me. I am not a happy camper.

Then I had to take the dog to the vet. He wasn't eating, and didn't seem to be himself. So 220.00 later, we are waiting for the blood work to come back, and he has some anti-biotics and is running a low grade fever... sigh.

When I had my first child it was student nurse time at the hospital (it was a private hospital & I didn't know they did things like that!). My one hand/arm was black & blue for a couple of weeks.... And I have great viens!!! No one else has ever had a problem finding a vein.....

That everyone stays healthy and safe throughout the entire trip!

I have three older boys, but the oldest (20) will only be at Hojos Sat., and I am not sure for how long as he is hoping to meet up with one of his college friends who lives in the LA area. I also have a DS17 who will be there for Sat. I am arriving Wed. with my DS 15. None of them have joined in with the groups on cruises in the past, so I am not sure if this one will be any different.

Sarah (DD14) got a nice tour of the high school this morning. She got her locker number and combination as well as her schedule. Looks pretty good. She has two teachers that I had there so I am glad about that. THey do have her down for a half year study hall...I am guessing the electives she picked didn't fit...It's the first half so she either has to go right to the guidence office the first few days and see what's available, or take advantage of it since it is the last period of the day! Personally, I would keep it as I had study hall every year in HS...needed the break every day.

DS14 had freshman orientation this past week. Had a lot of fun. Yesterday and today was orientation for marching band- no music, just marching.
We asked his counselor for his schedule since he won't be here for when they give it out the last week of August, but she hasn't responded
I'm worried about the which Math teacher he gets. I heard horrible stories about the one that just transfered there

We only eat ours with just mayo too and I recall the tuna sandwiches from room services being made that way. DSs had those often on our last cruise but that was three years ago so maybe they've changed. Hope not!

Hey, you aren't alone, we also eat tuna with just mayo!! I very rarely eat it out, cause well they put stuff in it..and I don't like "stuff"!
