I called the camp this morning and asked if they could make an extra toy for him to get on Monday. She said that they people who come from Build-a-bear ask for a head count of who's there that day and will only make that many, but that they'll ask if they can do an extra one for him. I also told him that if they can't do it that we'll go to Build-a-Bear after we get back from the cruise.

He has a very thoughtful mom!

I tried to see if they had any videos of middle aged dorky, white, women doing it..... That would discribe ME! Although 17dd did tell me last night (while she was teaching it to me) that I was making her look like a clumsy, white, girl. I said *if the shoe fits.....*

Too funny. My 6 year old swears that Miley is his girlfriend! He even got in trouble at school last year because he pushed a boy for making fun of him about it. When we tried to reason with him about it, he just said, "But she really is my girlfriend." and he was dead serious!

How CUTE!!! My 7dd thinks that she is Cinderella and Prince Charming is waiting in his castle for her. Of course I guess that means that Corbin Blue and Kevin Jonas are out of the picture for now....

Then looking for a Boarding place But she should be fine Right? Then tomorrow Ryan has a parade his uniform hasn't gotten here kinda freakin out they say that someone is going to pick it up. I am so confused because it's under DH's name not Ryan's and band is costing me so much. I just don't know how we are going to do this. They all want money now and they say it's not going to cost $2000 for it, but we added up and it is. OH MY Dh is not happy at all with this and the communication is so horrible.


Thank you for letting me vent. I just don't know how high school is so EXPENSIVE. Yikers. I guess i just have to sit back and watch

It always ends up costing more then they say...... I did Drill Team in HS (here Drill team is Dance teams that do shows during half time at the football games). I had to pay for everything myself....camp...uniforms....shoes.... EEKKK! It was expensive!!! LOL!

Back from Blood Care.
First off if you are etremely squemish feel free to jump to the next post.
I was greeted by 15 workers which was my 1st clue it was not a normal day at the ye ole blood center. Turns out Trainee day! Oh lucky me!
I told them I had poor veins and was a bad stick so I did not want a trainee. Well guess what- I got trainee. The intiial stick was ok but apparantly it was not "in" so they spent the next 30 mins digging around my vein w/ the needle trying to get the motherload of veins After they held the needle and my arm in an exact certain configuration - blood slowly trickled out. After a while they decided it was a no-go. Blood was not flowing. I bravely told them they could pickup with the other arm to fill the bag but they said they were not allowed to do that.
The best part of the whole thing was when the trainee was taking the needle out- in front of 5 other trainees and her trainer- she screamed bloody murder! Turns out the culprit was a clot that shot out when the needle came out. She was so scared.
So.... I have a huge bruise and did not end up saving anyone's life.
But- got a good laugh out of it.

When I had my first child it was student nurse time at the hospital (it was a private hospital & I didn't know they did things like that!). My one hand/arm was black & blue for a couple of weeks.... And I have great viens!!! No one else has ever had a problem finding a vein.....

If you're going to Downtown Disney at Disneyland there is a Build A Bear there. I think they have special Disney things there also.

We have been really busy here.. only a few more days until we leave.Most things are packed.. and I agree about the panic mode. My sister is here now so we are "BONDING", so we can get used to each other again..lol

What are some families most concerns?

Is there anyone going with older children (19-24) staying at Howard Johnsons?

Family concerns for me is that my DS14 will listen to me and DD6 will not ask for things in store when we get on board LOL. - which I know that she will. Just have everything go smooth and safe for everyone.

I went to have my hair cut and colored today and only had to pay $45. My DH also had his hair cut for $16. My hair stylist does it in her home so that probably saves a few bucks.

Everyone that is leaving this weekend have a safe trip!!!

I use restaurant.com a lot. Just be careful to read the rules of the gift certficate before you buy. Some have Mon - Fri restrictions, others have a minimum purchase. And you can't use multiple certificates on one visit.

Well, today has been a washout for productivity as far as the cruise prep goes but I did just find out something that made both the kids very happy. I called the base's movie line to find out what the sneak preview movie is this Sunday......








SW: CLONE WARS!!! They thought that they were going to miss it with us leaving Tuesday and being on the ship then starting school.

I got advance screening passes for Tues night. DS doesn't know. He's been pouting for a few days because he doesn't think we'll be able to see it until Sept.

Can't wait to see his face on Tuesday. I'll probably just tell him I'm dragging him out to dinner or something, then we'll get in the movie line.

I have a DS 15.. maybe our sons will meet up at some point..

My concern is that we all get along in such close quarters..lol
I havent lived with my sister in over 20+ years..lol
Also, I hope I dont forget anything. We are planning a stop to WALMART for hair products so
I wont have to worry about them in the suitcase and the added weight for the plane..lol
We used the Joy Mangano scale and one main suitcase was only 33 lbs.. lots of rm to pack more or to bring more souvenirs..

Got some things accomplished today.

DS's baldric finally came, now I just need to distress it a bit. Thing is, I don't know how to distress leather.

Completed re-working my Tia Dalma necklaces.

Got the last of DS's school supplies/clothes - bonus, the pants were on clearance for $7 each.

Got assorted blankets/sheets from the Thrift Store to mark save our Fantasmic spots.


Hmm...that doesn't seem like much, but it feels like I got a bunch done.

they took my DH off the list for our ressies too!!! Still looking to swap a brunch with someone for my dinner btw..DH prefers brunch and will NOT enjoy the dinner thus making me miserable..lol
