Well, earlier I had to go do errand. But I am here for now. I do have check on DD6 cause she is acouple of houses down. She has been there for a while. I can check Dis boards via Iphone. LOL :)

DD18mo is upstairs sleeping off what's left of whatever she had all week. Her fever is really totally gone today and she's a pain like normal, just didn't sleep as much as she needed today. So she gets a very late nap. Hopefully this late nap doesn't interfere with my sleep tonight! :rotfl2:

Which makes the fact that you wore it for the DIS geek cruise even nicer. :)

Yes it is.

I believe this shows his back ..... and yours too Lisa.

Hey, you aren't alone, we also eat tuna with just mayo!! I very rarely eat it out, cause well they put stuff in it..and I don't like "stuff"!

Me too! I eat it with Miracle Whip. I hate when people put stuff like onions and celery in it blech!

Good news! DD14 does not have MRSA, but one of the bumps does have a staph infection. The antibiotics she's on should clear it up.

That everyone stays healthy and safe throughout the entire trip!

I have three older boys, but the oldest (20) will only be at Hojos Sat., and I am not sure for how long as he is hoping to meet up with one of his college friends who lives in the LA area. I also have a DS17 who will be there for Sat. I am arriving Wed. with my DS 15. None of them have joined in with the groups on cruises in the past, so I am not sure if this one will be any different.

That may be an option.. My dd is going to CALIFORNIA with us but not the cruise..:(( yes, I am really upset about it too. She was wondering if there would be some people to hang out with prior to going thats all.. she met a few friends on our last cruise and we had a great time with her.. She is a riot ..(at times:rotfl2: ) We are arriving Wed and she is leaving Sunday when we leave for the port...

I have not been online for a little more than the past week. I had a major HR mess on my hands at work and caused major havoc. So major the TOAL couldve been in jeopardy.

But alas, after much work (including having to come in at 4:30am for the closing of the books), we seemed to have resolved nearly all of the issues that couldve wrecked my plans.

So while I still have 3 more longs days of work before the TOAL... it will pale in comparison to the past week.

Cant wait for the vacation to start - cause I need it bad.

Sorry I missed the NYC meet - it was in the middle of the mess.

Have I missed anything BIG this past week?

Will likely be on chat tonight to catch up.

Later!

Only thing I can think of was the posting of the navigator, kids journal and drink of the day passports. The navigator and the kids journal are on the pirate zone under announcements. M posted the drink of the day passport link a few pages back (4 pages back or so:confused3 ).

I'm having a stressful time at work lately too. Murphy's law, things always go wrong the week before vacation:upsidedow

Glad your work crisis is getting resolved and not threatening your trip anymore:flower3:

I hope that your able to get some rest and I hope that she is ok. I totally understand. Skyler DD6 got fevers when she was younger. I hate when they are sick. Take care.

Your friend,

And she is letting him go?? when is her due date? I dont think I would like my dh to leave me.. but then again...lol

Speaking of falls and accidents.. MY DSIS fell at home on her way to the airport to get to DISNEY WORLD in 2004 ,3 days prior to our cruise.. she was so bruised and scraped up.. she looked like she got beat up. Sad.. but funny when she told us how it happened..lol

I can beat that. Last year as we were leaving for the airport to go on our trip to WDW and our 3 day on the Wonder, my DS somersaulted down a full flight of the concrete steps outside our house. I swear I aged 20 years in a couple of seconds. His face was really scraped up and he had scrapes all over his chest and back, but otherwise he seemed to be fine. I had no idea what to do, what if he had a concussion and I was going to take him on a plane? But since he seemed okay, I cleaned him up and we went to the airport. By the next day he looked so bad with all the scrapes and bruises that had shone up by then. But he didn't care, he was just so happy to be on our trip. And it made a great picture with Captain Jack on CC with them posing together and DS doing his best mean pirate look, and all with the scrapes on his face, like he'd just been in a big fight.

Ok I will be back in a few to do more fluff. LOL Have to check on DD6 down the street.

BRB Miss me...:lmao:
:yay: :dance3:  :hippie:  :worship: :rotfl2: :thumbsup2 :lovestruc

Back from Blood Care.
First off if you are etremely squemish feel free to jump to the next post.
I was greeted by 15 workers which was my 1st clue it was not a normal day at the ye ole blood center. Turns out Trainee day! Oh lucky me!
I told them I had poor veins and was a bad stick so I did not want a trainee. Well guess what- I got trainee. The intiial stick was ok but apparantly it was not "in" so they spent the next 30 mins digging around my vein w/ the needle trying to get the motherload of veins :scared: After they held the needle and my arm in an exact certain configuration - blood slowly trickled out. After a while they decided it was a no-go. Blood was not flowing. I bravely told them they could pickup with the other arm to fill the bag but they said they were not allowed to do that.
The best part of the whole thing was when the trainee was taking the needle out- in front of 5 other trainees and her trainer- she screamed bloody murder! :rotfl2: Turns out the culprit was a clot that shot out when the needle came out. She was so scared.
So.... I have a huge bruise and did not end up saving anyone's life. :sad1:
But- got a good laugh out of it. :)

Extra dose for being good :tinker: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Thanks
Alana finished Breaking Dawn yesterday and also got a Twilight t-s*** from Hot Topic!
Is she looking forward to the movie in December;)
Hope she brings the t-s*** on the TOAL, I'm a fan too:thumbsup2

Hi guys -- busy day here since we leave out of JFK tomorrow AM at 9:45 . . . as much as I tried to have things ready in advance, the last day always gets crazy. I will try to check in again over the next week, but regardless I look forward to seeing you all very soon!
Hey Julie:yay: Hang in there:thumbsup2 See ya soon:woohoo:

 OMG, what a bummer. My old lab job used to offer free lab tests to employees, but you had to let the trainees draw the blood:headache:
I haven't had too much of a problem in the past as I guess I'm an "easy draw", but I've heard horror stories like yours:sad2:

At least you can laugh about it:thumbsup2

Oh the boy kid.. Glad he was able to enjoy it... My son did that one as well but his was 2 flights of stairs at the near by medical center. His dress shoe got caught on the top of the stair since he and his sister wanted to race down the stairs and I took the elevator.. Just as the doors opened i saw him tumble head over heals.. people came running from all over.. here my poor 9 yr old lay flat out legs spawled.. then he was back boarded and collored and taken via ambulance.. long story longer,, he was fine. Now if I did that I would have had broken bones allover the place.

Prayers to the famaily dog. I know how important they can be to us...

I was inspired earlier when you posted that you were going to donate. I have been pregnant these last several years and unable to. You reminded me that it needs to go back on my to do list.

I'm glad your experience didn't turn you off completely. Look at it this way, if it had to happen at least it was you and not someone who would never go back. By taking "one for the team" you may have saved more lives than you realize. Now put some ice on your arm.

My thoughts exactly. I could care less about needles, have been donating for over 20 years and not stopping now. Just hope for it to not be Trainee Day next time. ;)

Remember you will probably not be able to donate after the TOAL for a year as we are going to areas that have a risk for Malaria. I used to donate all the time but I keep falling into the restricted areas that do not allow me to donate.

Please donate if you can, it saves lives.

I got tons to do and little time. I still have not started packing, I have lots to finish for work and other stuff to finish.

NO, NO, NO! Not one place we are going is on the restricted list. They have gotten much better w/ screenings. Not even my skin cancer disqualified me.
Donate away!

Next time no one can sleep..................just call me. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I was up anyway and now have I pages and pages to ketchup on.:headache: :headache: :headache:

I am not liking the number 13 anymore. It is driving me to drink(which might not be a bad thing).:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
