Hi guys -- busy day here since we leave out of JFK tomorrow AM at 9:45 . . . as much as I tried to have things ready in advance, the last day always gets crazy. I will try to check in again over the next week, but regardless I look forward to seeing you all very soon!

Julie,
Have a safe trip! Maybe we will see you around the parks next Thurs, Fri, or Sat, but definitely on the ship Sun! Have a great time! :hippie:

So many people think I am a figment of a bad nightmare!!:lmao:

Have a good and safe trip.:)

  • TUESDAY- To airport Hotel
  • WEDNESDAY, Early check in and Flight. Arrive 1pm LAX, DISNEYLAND.
  • SUNDAY Have ot be somewhere? Cant remember?

Wonder cruises?

I think it involves some pirates on some level, and maybe some rum....:confused3

Thanks
Alana finished Breaking Dawn yesterday and also got a Twilight t-s*** from Hot Topic!

:laundy: so the girls have clothes to wear at camp next week. Also, DD14 is finishing up an online algebra class she had to take this summer. It needs to be finished by midnight tonight.

You are the only one here today. I am a figment of my own imagination.

:lmao: :lmao: Do you like how I said that and then left? Thought I should find some nicer shoes in my closet and pack them before I forget and have to go to dinner in hiking boots!

The nachos are from White Water Snacks which is the poolside snack place in the Grand Californian. Anyone can go there. It's actually a nice quietl little lunch spot (well they serve breakfast and dinner too). The prices are reasonable and the portions are big. We eat there often.

Yummy thank you!! May have to stop by. Do you know what time they close??

Back from Blood Care.
First off if you are etremely squemish feel free to jump to the next post.
I was greeted by 15 workers which was my 1st clue it was not a normal day at the ye ole blood center. Turns out Trainee day! Oh lucky me!
I told them I had poor veins and was a bad stick so I did not want a trainee. Well guess what- I got trainee. The intiial stick was ok but apparantly it was not "in" so they spent the next 30 mins digging around my vein w/ the needle trying to get the motherload of veins :scared: After they held the needle and my arm in an exact certain configuration - blood slowly trickled out. After a while they decided it was a no-go. Blood was not flowing. I bravely told them they could pickup with the other arm to fill the bag but they said they were not allowed to do that.
The best part of the whole thing was when the trainee was taking the needle out- in front of 5 other trainees and her trainer- she screamed bloody murder! :rotfl2: Turns out the culprit was a clot that shot out when the needle came out. She was so scared.

So.... I have a huge bruise and did not end up saving anyone's life. :sad1:
But- got a good laugh out of it. :)

You're a good neighbor for donating. I should schedule todonate some time soon...

odd question...
does anybody know if the medical center onboard has a nebulizer to "use" for breathing treatments? or how to find out?

It would be so much easier to just pack meds & tubing, if we could use their machine on occasion, if needed.

Thanks!

Woohoo! Flying really isn't that bad - it's the only mode of transportation that I can actually sleep on (except for the ship that is!).

DS(13) is finally showing signs of being excited for the trip. He's talking about it more and actually started getting some of his clothes together today. DH on the other hand is getting nervous - said his stomach was bothering him all day today. I don't know what he's getting nervous about - he has all his packing DONE (camera equipment). I'm the one that still has to get the clothes done, the house cleaned up and all the toiletries and pharmacy stuff together!

:grouphug: Good girl!!! :) It will be worth it when you get on the ship. The kids are really excited to see your girls again.

Well, today has been a washout for productivity as far as the cruise prep goes but I did just find out something that made both the kids very happy. I called the base's movie line to find out what the sneak preview movie is this Sunday......

SW: CLONE WARS!!! They thought that they were going to miss it with us leaving Tuesday and being on the ship then starting school.
