Seriously, unless she is running at me with her hands in the air making herself into the letter "H", I'll have no idea who she is.

We know how to SAY your name, but that won't help us identify you!

Maybe eveyone is sopposed to go around yelling *Deanna* * Banana* Sort of mike *Marco* *Polo*.

I'll make sure you know who I am. I'm not known for being quiet. :rolleyes1

I didn't think any other stick figure families were on the cruise... they should be easy to spot.

Plus, how weird will it be to be hugged by a cartoon drawing?

Welcome Aboard! I have a DS13 as well - our cabin is #5510 - which cabin are you in?
Look forward to meeting you.

Thanks for the welcome. We are in cabin 2532. It will great for 13 year olds to meet each other. Is there any chance that your son likes running or guitars?

It's too early! DD woke at 6 and was fussy on and off till I got her up at 7. It would seem the fever was gone yesterday but back today? :sad2:

Happy Birthday Arlene !
Happy Birthday Zack !

Anxious? Definitely, but about everything outside my direct control (yes, I am a bit of a control freak) - t-s***** being at DLH:confused3 , BA losing luggage:mad: , one of the kids getting sick:sick: , forgetting something vital etc.

Celestine
Um you're describing me- does this mean I'm a control freak?
:lmao:
(oh boy if you knew me, you'd know how ridiculous that question I just asked is) :rotfl:

I second that ahhhhhh and raise you an AAAaaauuuugggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

I CANNOT WAIT!

Happy birthday, Arlene!

big-cake176.jpg
I have to pirate this cake- that's the exact cake my sister had at her baby shower recently!
Happy Birthday Arlene- hope you have a great one! :)

We have a busy day today. 2 of my DDs have Well-visit appts that they are less than thrilled with since they will involve SHOTS! I have bribed the 5yo with Chuck-E-Cheese and a bike. (The bike is because hers got stolen a few months ago and I haven't gotten around to getting her another yet. Perfect oppertunity!:rolleyes1 )

Since we will be up the road, we can go to the mall and do some shopping. Have to get these lazy bums up to get ready. Have a nice day everyone!:flower3:
LOL you sound like me... milk those opportunities to bribe with something you would have gotten them anyway. :rotfl:

So true! :rotfl:

Good luck! My kids had appts a couple of weeks ago....I had told them they neither one would be getting shots (10 & 7).....turned out that neither had done the *booster chicken pox* shot...... I was the most hated mom on the planet at that moment...... :sad2: 10ds was trying not to cry because his sister was crying.... It was way sad all around. I did promise the 7yr old french fries -- her favorite treat. ;)
OMG went thru something simliar recently. eldest DD had to get some shots recently (tetanus booster/etc.) and then shortly afterwards youngest DD had to have a well visit. Oh she asked did she have to get shots too- and ofcourse I said OFCOURSE NOT.......
and I was wrong. :scared1:
I was the most hated mom on the planet that day. :confused3
The perfect "bribe" for my youngest is a trip to the dollar store. Fries don't cut it anymore. :rotfl:

I'll make sure you know who I am. I'm not known for being quiet. :rolleyes1
Seriously?
I'd have never known.

Oh no- hope she's feeling better soon! Fever- go away!

And Happy Birthday Zack!

And why didn't someone tell me what a pain these ipod shuffles are? geesh. I thought I was putting songs on the thing all night long (practically) and turns out nope- gotta download itunes and junk and put it on that way. what a pain in the patootie. Ohwell- atleast it's done now so my ST can get off my back about it. LOL
I wonder- do these things only charge on PC's or will it still charge up the battery by plugging it into the laptop while on the trip? curious minds wanna know!

Maybe eveyone is sopposed to go around yelling *Deanna* * Banana* Sort of mike *Marco* *Polo*.

I thought it was *Marco* *Palo*

Weirder than being hugged by a 5-6.5 foot plush version of a cartoon drawing??

Okay.......you may want to remove that picture from the PZ. It is false advertising. I am definitely NOT a stick figure! :rotfl:

Help to motivate me to start packing. Seems that I keep wanting to read these posts!

That was one expense / hassle we didn't have to deal with at our reception. It would have involved getting a liquor license and being responsible for anything that happened to anyone who drank anything. Most of the people who came drove 3-4 hours and went home that night so they probably wouldn't have had anything anyway.

Reminds me of our wedding reception. We had an open bar for the wedding party and parents. I think the bar tab came to $36.

My 6 year old had his belated well visit last week and got a DPT booster and the finger prick for the hemoglobin. He was screaming as soon as he saw the needle. He carried on so much you could have heard him a block away. When we got to the waiting room he abruptly stopped crying and said "How long have I been like this?" and then turned the waterworks back on, lol. And I'm a bad mommy, I didn't promise him anything. But he'd had a push up pop at camp already that day. I know this because as I grabbed him off the bus when he got home camp and I raced over to make our appt, his mouth, tongue and teeth were all dyed blue. And he was sweaty and filthy. I'm surprised they didn't call child services on me when they got a look at him at the office, lol.

pirate: ing --- HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZACH!

so an 80s person and not a 60s :hippie: then? :lmao: Man, I'm getting old too!

That was my thought exactly. I guess I know a lot "hippi's" and some who wish they were children of the 80's. And for the record--you're far from old!!

Hey everyone,

How is everyone? Gosh we had tornado warnings here in Colorado. It was the first time we saw that on TV for the warnings, since we moved here. I was a little nervous because DS was out at band practice outside because he has a parade that he is in this weekend. Then DD was down the street. DH told me that we are fine but it just scared me alittle bit. LOL

Short story everything was fine and nothing happend. I just got a little nervous. I have never been in one and I wasn't sure what was going to happen. One thing I am glad of that it's raining here finally, my yard really needed it.

Finally, after seeing everyone else around the Denver area get rain, we finally got some rain!!! The kids were running around in the rain so excited because we haven't had a good rain in months! Before yesterday, we had only rec'd about 3 inches year-to-date and I think we doubled that yesterday. We saw manhole covers lifted up from so much runoff, kids boogie boarding down the street, etc. It was so awesome to have the rain.

Dawn-- Denver doesn't get too many tornados, but the Eastern plains do so we'll see a lot of warnings on local TV but 99 times out of a 100 they will be about 100 miles east of Denver such as yesterday.

Also, I would like to thank all my fellow pirates for all their hard work in organizing, planning and everything else you have done/are doing to make this a truly magical vacation.

Well said!! :thumbsup2 Mega dittos! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Happy Birthday Arlene!!!

Just stoppin in to say good morning all, have to head off to work this aftenoon. Will get to do some ketchup later.

Got my FE in the mail yesterday, it is so cute, can't wait to hang it on my door.

Just spent about an hour in the sun, still working on that base coat, don't want to burn on the TOAL.

So I did move a bunch of stuff to the DR table yesterday, no one has said a word.....Makes me fell better to have it laid out, not necessarily in the suitcase. I can't believe we leave one week from today!
