Happy 39th Anniversary Arlene and Rich

[/QUOTE]

ditto..Happy Anniversary

What a story of dedication for that family! Although very difficult, I'm glad the family of the 7 year old graciously donated the organ and hope all turns out well for Shawn.

QUESTION FOR THOSE WHO HAVE CRUISED DCL WITH A PASSPORT BEFORE....

Now that we have gone and spent all the money for a passport I want to get the stamps in it when we go somewhere. I think that I read on the main board that you need to drop your PP off at guest services to have them do this. Is this right or is there something else you need to do. TIA!

I had no idea this was a possibility. I hope other poster's are right and we can get all the ports stamped. I am a bit nervous about leaving our passports with them the entire time! :sad2:

For those of you who buy pictures from shutters, how do you travel with them home so they don't bend? I'm wondering how we can bring back pictures from the Dolphin excursion and the litho we might get :)
Also, does someone have a link to the price list for packages from shutters? Last time we only bought one picture.

We got our photo's in large envelopes every time I picked up more. I ended up with a bunch of them and like the packrat that I am...I still have them! lol
I am actaully bringing a scrapbook paper holder that is 12x12, so I will keep everything I don't want bent, in there this time.

I read that post too about the sun, afternoon vs morning and started to think I would change our time but then I checked weather.com and there is not much of a difference in temperature from 10:00am - 3:00pm.

Tomorrow at 10:00am 90 degrees; feels like 99
Tomorrow at 3:00 pm 96 degrees; feels like 105

The difference between 99 and 105 is just plain HOT and hot is hot

Michelle
ugh....your right.......HOT!

Found this list of shutters prices when I googled but I don't know how current it is:

What are we in for......?

DD went to a friends birthday party today at a build a bear place. The kids had the option of building bear (which she'd done for her birthday back in May) or take home a Webkinz. She came home with a Webkinz.

Andy
be very afraid! LOL, not really! They are pretty cute and harmless. DD has 6 now and loves them all! I'm sure one or 2 will be sneaking in her suitcase before we leave!
Ask Desiree how many her household owns....LOL

Hello! I have been lurking and learning from all of you over the past few weeks. My wife and I - along with ds 13 and ds 9 will also be on your adventure.

I just wanted to share that at A C Moore craft store here in New Jersey they have pre printed Pirates of the Caribbean pillow cases that you can color on. They come in single packs or 8 in a pack. Since there are always 40% off coupons they would be around 3 a piece. They also have Hannah Montana designs and Princess cases. I thought that this might be a fun way to gather autographs of the characters.

See you all very soon!
Welcome aboard! We don't have AC Moore, but those sure sound cute! I may have to check out our local stores... Michael's and Joanne's!

Yikes...just found out we are under a Hurricane Watch here in Houston!

Kim
Good thoughts to you guys! :scared1:

Just show up in the atrium at 9:00 am. We are leaving from there.

for those who have done this walk before. Is the actual road/side walk even or gravel, bricks etc? Also is it very hilly. My mom may want to join us and we are taking her wheelchair & walker, but I'm not sure how comfortably accessible it would be to push her there.

we've mostly told everyone we're doing it but there is no "sign up" necessary. We're just walking over there- lots of us- no advance headcount needed. :)

Well BIP....

Be sure to count on MY gang of 26 joining your group for the walk and stroll ashore!

We had a fun BBQ today with our entire group of family & friends cruisers (16 in total). We discussed the 2005 cruise as well as nailed down some other plans. Our friends, disfrog & DH made everybody beautiful fish extenders on her cool sewing machine which was really neat! The kids practiced with their snorkel gear while in the pool and we ate way too much fun food (more practicing for the cruise meals!)

It was a fun day, and we broke out in a horn blowing contest at 5pm to commemorate sailing away in 2 weeks, with Dr. Pepper bottles and snorkels....lets just say it was an interesting variation of "when you wish upon a star"....LOL

while most of my postings..are "aimless" @ humor, sk8's sharing her

..heart~warming story.....made.... me happy all over. especially the
responses...supporting both families. :grouphug: . [ one of the things,
we do..is read alot of stories..coming from different mags.. two types
of the highest causes for emotional pain..are " loneliness & losses".

rd..did a few over children..being "back over". the loss of a child...
seem unbearable..but in cases of donation...there's seem to be
support thru giving. both me & my wife...has donation marked on
our driving licenses.

ha! we went on a "date" tonight..with 2 other couples. [ @ tuttle
crossing's japanese steak house. { my wife friends' & their husbands.}

extremely nice..evening..however, to hear..these awful horror stories..

@ their children schools..of bullying & abuse.[ when there cure...is so
simple..there are just isn't any excuses..for how poorly our schools systems
are doing.] oh, here's another surprise...they all knew...others..abusing
rx.'s drugs / or getting them for resell for big$$. did anyone see on the news
where they stole..a semi..full of narcotics. probably resell in our schools.

i don't kno..whose..in charge..of our medical professions..but they're
not doing the..job...right. my opinion.

Just have your ID & boarding pass out, once you get close to the x-rays take your shoes off and anything extra that you might be carrying or wearing, i.e bag, hat, sun glasses, cell phone & have them ready to go through the scanner. And as for liquids:

All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three-ounce or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed. Each container must be three ounces or smaller.
All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Gallon size bags or bags that are not zip-top such as fold-over sandwich bags are not allowed. Each traveler can use only one, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag.
Each traveler must remove their quart-sized plastic, zip-top bag from their carry-on and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening. X-raying separately will allow TSA security officers to more easily examine the declared.

Easy beans unless you get randomly pulled aside which has happened to others here. I only got pulled aside at Logan in Boston once.
I was travelling alone so they made me go through the explosive sniffing machine where they blow air up your....body. ;)

....[ed].....

funny_animated_pictures_11.gif

I've never heard of this TSA screening device/method.

However, I can sort of imagine how it might be .... I guess?

Where did you find $4.07??? The best I found was $4.15!!!
We paid $3.97 today at Costco! First time under $4.00 in awhile!

Can't exactly answer your question, but I can tell you that I have taken sausage, egg and cheese burritos, fried chicken, egg rolls, and pizza through security and on the plane with no issue (all on different flights though...that would be an interesting meal if it were all on the same one.)
quite the buffet if you took it all at the same time! :lmao:

May 13, 1984 - Mother's Day - we got married. Happy Anniversary to us!!! And I hope my DH still feels that way!

Debi
We are a day apart! We're May 12, 1984!

Well...

I think it's about time to start introducing a few of the members of our family group to the DIS community...

And I'd like to begin with a few fun or charming images I've stumbled across in the process...

From a few months ago - here is our NEWEST member of the expanded family....
Although you can't see HIM too well ... baby Braedon is being held by my daughters when he was just about a week old.

OK... below is a better angle on my new little nephew from Boston...

And below are a couple of nice photos of Alicia's Mom and Dad (SAM and GENEVIEVE)
They're in Tahiti with us for a cruise on the old Rennisance R4.

Below are Alicias' brother Jivin and son Eston from Maui - his spouse is staying home with tier youngest son because she's in her 3rd trimester with thier 3rd child.

Below are a couple of my FAVORITE pictures of Alicia and I... and one with our kids ...
The left hand image was taken in Tahiti before we had kids... or rather, Alicia was pregnant in her 2nd trimester with Julianna here. The right hand image is self explanatory ... and nominally from about 2 or 3 years ago.

:grouphug:  pixiedust: and prayers to everyone who is going to need it today

Happy Birthday and Anniversary to everyone we have missed

12 days to TOAL

Have a great Monday

.LOL As you get older you bring the entire medacine chest. ;) :lmao:

I know what you mean about the medicine chest. DH laughs at me because I bring everything the kids could possibly need. He tells everyone that I probably even have anti venom in my bags.

Good morning pirate:s

2 more Mondays until TOAL!!!!
(I include today because I'm barely out of bed...)

The Navigator (including schedule, roster and deck plans/FE list) is done & with the people who have the power to post it on the Pirate Zone. I also made a 1-page "Pocket Pirate" with just the basic information that you can print and fold like a greeting card.

Watch for an announcement - coming soon! Thank you thank you thank you to Pamela (pdarrah) & Mike (cruisin'Mike) for all of their work. I've been making the announcements, but they have been doing just as much, if not more, work as I have.

I've been busy (see above) so I skimmed through yesterday - thanks so much for celebrating and praying for Shawn with us.

We'll stop at Arby's on the way to the airport and put the sack inside of our carryon,go thru security and have a seat at the gate. We buy a $5.00 diet coke and share it.

Good idea, but we are leaving at 0-dark-30 and won't be eating for hours. I don't think I would bring any type of meat given our situation, but pb&j should travel well.
