Hello! I have been lurking and learning from all of you over the past few weeks. My wife and I - along with ds 13 and ds 9 will also be on your adventure.

I just wanted to share that at A C Moore craft store here in New Jersey they have pre printed Pirates of the Caribbean pillow cases that you can color on. They come in single packs or 8 in a pack. Since there are always 40% off coupons they would be around 3 a piece. They also have Hannah Montana designs and Princess cases. I thought that this might be a fun way to gather autographs of the characters.

Hi everybody!! OMG just 10 more sleeps until we leave here for CA! I was in trip mode today and shopping too Its tax free weekend here in VA so I saved a bit of $$ by shopping today Got some great deals at Kohls on school clothes and clothes for DH and I but the best was at JCPenneys where I got 4 pair of jeans and 3 nice polos for DS12 and only spent $80

I have a question and I know its been discussed on here before but I just want to clarify........DS is growing and has pretty much grown out of all his nicer dockers. He has one pair of khaki pants & 1 pair casual dress pants and one nice pair of dress pants. I plan to bring all three but since he is so adamant about NOT dressing up (except for formal and semi formal nights), he wants to wear his nice jeans to dinner on some nights during the cruise. I figurede on pirate night it would be acceptable but what about other nights? It seems I read on here that jeans are now acceptable on casual dining nights. Can anyone confirm this for me? He would be so much happier and so would DH and I since then we won't have to push him to "dress up" every night.

I just love a good sale! As far as the jeans go...you will see Kevin and I in ours. We wore them on our last cruise and did not feel the least bit out of place.

We'll stop at Arby's on the way to the airport and put the sack inside of our carryon,go thru security and have a seat at the gate. We buy a $5.00 diet coke and share it.

Do what we did when all of us flew down to Cancun for DD's wedding (I think there was around 20 of us on the same flight). They actually put other people in our area - we all booked at the same time so, the airline could have tried a little harder to seat us together -- we would all laugh and talk across and up rows of people! We are a talkative, rowdy bunch! LOL! Several people offered to trade seats.

We were able to pick our seats but other times we've had to pick seats seperated we've not had a problem switching with anyone. NO ONE wanted to sit by a lone 3yr old or 5yr old... imagine that? LOL

You won't know for sure until the night before when you get the next days Navigator.
Now when we did the 10nt Disney let us know ahead of time the *schedule* for the dinners and I planned accordingly! LOL! We had Tropical night then, too.

I wanna know ahead of time! LOL

The information I was given is the following (of course subject to change)

Formal nights - days 2 and 14 - at sea days (Aug 18 and 30)
Night 14 is the Ballroom under the stars night

Mexican deck party - day 6 - Acapulco (Aug 22)
Semi Formal - day 8 - at sea (Aug 24)
Tropical night - day 10 - Cartagena (Aug 26)
Pirate night - day 13 - at sea (Aug 29)

What are we in for......?

DD went to a friends birthday party today at a build a bear place. The kids had the option of building bear (which she'd done for her birthday back in May) or take home a Webkinz. She came home with a Webkinz.

I was looking at the spreadsheep that Pamela posted on the Pirate Boards and she has Mousketeer Night for Early Dining listed on Aug 22, the same night as the Mexican Deck Party. Now I'm sure that there was some method used to guess what night Mouseketeer Night would be, but would they do this the same night as the Mexican Deck Party? If not, when would be the next-probable night for Mouseketeer Night?

I have down Aug 21st- and I must have read that somewehere.
Well actually have it wrote down that it was the first non-animated Animator's. and I was going by OUR dining rotation (we're not linked with pirates) and I have down that's either Aug 21st or Aug 27th.
But now that I think about it- since we're not linked with the pirates and if we don't end up with the same rotation as the pirates. we might look kinda silly being the only ones there that are wearing those shirts that night? oops..

we've mostly told everyone we're doing it but there is no "sign up" necessary. We're just walking over there- lots of us- no advance headcount needed.

When we cruised in March 2007, we did take our passports to Guest Services (probably the first or second day) and we left them there until the last night of the cruise. They were stamped in the Cayman Islands and the Bahamas.

Did you find any character autographs in them?


Really....good information. Thanks! My DW likes to get our passports stamped, which I personally don't like messing with. So all the better if DCL takes care of them. About 12 years ago, we crossed over to Canada and she just had to take her passport to be stamped. Didn't even need to have a passport then. The border guard just gave us an "idiot tourist" look and directed us to park the car so she could go inside the building to get it stamped. Then, when we came back into the US. We stopped at the duty free shop and of course had more alcohol than the 1 litre and case of beer. U.S. Agent asks if we have anything to declare...I say "no". Guard says, "Ok, have a good day" and then DW leans over from passenger side and says, "But he bought alcohol!" . Guard just laughs and says, "Yeah...I figured. Have a safe trip back to Ohio."

Mine comes home on Saturday (9th). I did throw a few things in her room yesterday while she was home overnight to "just try on" for me.

We leave DC (well VA) so early in the AM that sandwiches won't really work because it's just too early. I'm thinking a good snack would be OK. I plan to bring those little tubs of Peanut butter.

Guess what though.... WHen i went to book DD's ticket, i found out that the seat next to mine was taken...(the aisle) I had to put DD in the middle seat across the aisle from us. I figure if i just suck up to the person maybe they will switch with her. (ahhhh either that or we keep passing stuff back and forth to each other until they switch out of shear fustration.)

Or at least i won't have to listen to her ipod.

Is there a way to confirm that we are part of the linked dining? I thought I recalled it being mentioned a few weeks ago that you would see everyone's name on your reservation on the DCL webside. Ours does not show that.

Christopher I have you at your own table( because You have a full table by yourself) and hopefully we will be all linked by DCL this week. Kristina will be calling to confirm our links later this week. DCL might be doing a different way since we got to place you at tables by ourselves. We were such a huge crowd that we got to pick tables this time.

I do not even show a link for my private Palo brunch with the other 12 people. Not to worry..........we will all be in the same boat(pun intended).

I wuz just skimming some photo folders and ran across these from last month when we were in San Francisco. We we shopping and can you guess which 3 outfits below Alicia bought on deep disocunt at Macys' flagship store? I think she averaged over 75%-85% off the regular price considering the extra 11% off coupon she had for being an out-of-town visitor... puls she combined another coupon she dug up somewhere.

OK... we gotta go run the AYSO soccer team meeting now...​
