My DH actually went to bed last night saying, "Yeah, tomorrow is Monday." I looked at him like he was nuts and he explained that meant we got one more week out of the way once this week is done. He has NEVER been happy it was Monday before unless, of course, it was a holiday!!!

I think dd is trying to hold finishing the book -- to make it last! Here are a couplr of pics that they took Friday night ---

This is one she took of herself while she was waiting in line to buy the book, it's funny that you can't see anyone but, her in the pic since their were 900 people in the store!!!

This is one of a few of the girls they went with......24dd is onthe far left (wearing one of 17dd's dress that she bought for the cruise. ), and 17ddis the 2nd from the right. 17dd is wearing ballet flats and leaning down and all of hte other girls are wearing about 3 inch heels! LOL! For some reason alot of her friends are quite short and she is pretty tall.....

The girls are beautiful. I think my girls will enjoy meeting yours...not many their age on this trip. My girls are 18 and 21. They will definitely be looking for "friends". We will have to get them together!!!!! BTW, mine are both short!!!!! LOL.

DH, DS (12) and I will be joining you on the cruise. Just canceled our excursion to Sea Life Park in Puerto Vallarta resulting in changes to plans in Cabo and Acapulco as well.

Hi Sushi - Nice to meet you. I don't get to post a lot too, but this board is wonderful, so many great people on here. We are from Staten Island, what part of NJ are you from?

Wow...........I just brought 17 capri pants, tops to match each one and 3 formals...plus one Mickey Mouse Sweatsuit outfit for the cold night forn California. I brought 4 pair of shoes........John said I could not bring anymore. I tend to over pack but last cruise I wore everyhting except one outfit.

We have split our clothes in two large ones just incase one gets detoured. One carryon suitcase has my formals and John's tux. One smaller carryon has overnight clothes for California. One large bag has FE and Pirate Costumes and another bag has just in case we need stuff.LOL As you get older you bring the entire medacine chest.

Aren't you glad it is over and done with!!!

I still want to leave on 8/14. DH wants to work as much of the weekend as he can, but there is no way we are not leaving after Saturday. Since that is the case, he can't work any of the weekend, hence we can leave Thursday. Sounds good right?

We are on Continental on Thursday 8/14 out of Newark to LAX, 6:50 AM flight, anyone else????

Hello! I have been lurking and learning from all of you over the past few weeks. My wife and I - along with ds 13 and ds 9 will also be on your adventure.

Welcome!!! My DS will be 13 on August 14 & our DD is 9, I think there are a lot of kids around this age range!

Quick question............My kids want to take their pins and lanyards on our trip. Can they wear one lanyard and put the pins in their carryons? OR do I have to pack all those pins and lanyards - they are heavy! Wasn't sure about putting the pins in their carryons with all the restrictions they have now plus going through security Any help would be appreciated.

I matched up a bunch of outfits today and got almost everything into 1 suitcase. I'll go back through and weed it out again in a day or two. Bringing 2 pairs of slacks(1 black,1 white) and a pair of jeans, tops to mix and match all 3. 3 dresses(not including formal and semi formal). 4 or 5 pairs of shorts,2 prs. dress shoes,1 pr dressy sandals,1 pr flip flops and 1 pair tenny runners.

That's awesome Debi. Even though I haven't started packing yet, in my mind it all fits.... We will probably wind up with 5 suitcases though, DH things he is going to bring his scuba gear because he figures it is cheaper to pay $25 for the extra bag, then to pay $20-$30 to rent equipment in every dive site....

Hello! I have been lurking and learning from all of you over the past few weeks. My wife and I - along with ds 13 and ds 9 will also be on your adventure.

I just wanted to share that at A C Moore craft store here in New Jersey they have pre printed Pirates of the Caribbean pillow cases that you can color on. They come in single packs or 8 in a pack. Since there are always 40% off coupons they would be around 3 a piece. They also have Hannah Montana designs and Princess cases. I thought that this might be a fun way to gather autographs of the characters.

We'll stop at Arby's on the way to the airport and put the sack inside of our carryon,go thru security and have a seat at the gate. We buy a $5.00 diet coke and share it.

MMMM Arby's we don't have that here. Haven't had one of those in years. Love the horseradish sauce - Deb, you and I are definitely kin!

Shoes...now that's a problem. We usually have a whole (small) suitcase just for shoes. DH just shakes his head. The only good thing about that is that both DDs and I are the same size, so we can share. But you can never have enough choices with shoes.....

Good morning all... just catching up as you can see.

We had our mini meet in NYC yesterday. It was really nice to meet Julie and DD Meredith, Jo and Frank and family, and Latanya. What nice people!

We had some great pizza with some great company at John's Pizzeria on 44th Street. DH and I got in early and stopped at a street festival along the way, I love street festivals in the city!

Unfortunately, I realized when we got home that we never took any pictures....bad us. Sorry guys!

Got a lot of stuff done this w/e, ordered DH formalware, got transportation booked in Cali, went shopping (got more shoes.....I am so bad), made my packing list (no I can't pack yet). Almost done with my door decorations. Can't believe we leave in 10 days.....can't control myself.....

Working like crazy to get caught up before TOAL. Last week she was working at her dissertation to submit it to her professor. This week she's hoping to finish a web design contract she has with some college in Texas. In between, trying to pick up things for the trip. She appreciates you inquiring

...the new football rankings...are out...& ou isn't even listed....

They must really have taken a step backward when the media picked them at the bottom of the MAC...they were only a few points from being 9-3 last year. I plan on going to the OSU-Ohio game on Sept 6....but figures we get OSU coming back with 20 starters from back-to-back National Championship games. Will probably be ugly.

I have been adding on new colors as they come out each year!! I do not want to wash clothes unless I must. Dirt just seems drawn to me.

Well, at least we wont have to fight you for the washer and dryer time..lol

I have to find a faster way to dry my shirts.. I have not put them in the dryer at home and would like to keep it that way. Did anyone have a problem withthem flying off the balcony??

When I was in the office on Friday I actually told my boss that if I ever got laid off, I needed a week notice to copy all my personal data (spreadsheets and personal emails- jokes etc.) off the computer.
