8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #13

I matched up a bunch of outfits today and got almost everything into 1 suitcase. I'll go back through and weed it out again in a day or two. Bringing 2 pairs of slacks(1 black,1 white) and a pair of jeans, tops to mix and match all 3. 3 dresses(not including formal and semi formal). 4 or 5 pairs of shorts,2 prs. dress shoes,1 pr dressy sandals,1 pr flip flops and 1 pair tenny runners.

Wow...........I just brought 17 capri pants, tops to match each one and 3 formals...plus one Mickey Mouse Sweatsuit outfit for the cold night forn California. I brought 4 pair of shoes........John said I could not bring anymore. I tend to over pack but last cruise I wore everyhting except one outfit.

We have split our clothes in two large ones just incase one gets detoured. One carryon suitcase has my formals and John's tux. One smaller carryon has overnight clothes for California. One large bag has FE and Pirate Costumes and another bag has just in case we need stuff.LOL As you get older you bring the entire medacine chest.

Aren't you glad it is over and done with!!!

Is the walk to the fort open to anyone or did you have to sign up?

Two years ago when we cruised...we could see others...

I did hear that they have a new software system so maybe it is different now...

We linked in 2006 2 months before our cruise and we never saw the other persons reservation info... Maybe it's the luck of the draw??

I think that showed up more when you went to do something with the credit card for the online checkin? We had everyone at our table already linked so that took up all the room that was allowed.

Your family was probaby big enough to take all the slots that would show. LOL! I think that it was more obvious to people who were traveling with 2 or 3 because there were more slots showing other names after we were all linked.

Christopher I have you at your own table( because You have a full table by yourself) and hopefully we will be all linked by DCL this week. Kristina will be calling to confirm our links later this week. DCL might be doing a different way since we got to place you at tables by ourselves. We were such a huge crowd that we got to pick tables this time.

I do not even show a link for my private Palo brunch with the other 12 people. Not to worry..........we will all be in the same boat(pun intended).

When we were still unlinked from the pirates, but linked in 3 cabins, I could see everyone from all 3 cabins. Now that we're linked, I can only see the people in each particular cabin separately. I think that it has to do with their software upgrade where if you have more than 5 linked cabins, you have to go into each cabin separately to do anything.

When we cruised in March 2007, we did take our passports to Guest Services (probably the first or second day) and we left them there until the last night of the cruise. They were stamped in the Cayman Islands and the Bahamas. I guess they missed Mexico. I can't remember if we picked them up the last night or if they were delivered to us (I'm thinking we picked them up...). I was a little worried about leaving them there all week, but they did give us a Passport Receipt Form with our name and cabin numbers when we left them. I was hoping to do the same thing this time.

I think I'm getting a little stressed - I had a dream that the Pirate Bus took everyone not to the Port but to Puerta Vallarta and to the zip line tour location. And - they provided a picnic lunch for everyone!!

Okay - back to packing - etc.

I have been adding on new colors as they come out each year!! I do not want to wash clothes unless I must. Dirt just seems drawn to me.

I feel kinda bad and i can't even e-mail him because his e-mail was on my work computer...

(i still hate them for not letting me gather all my stuff or even my health care related e-mails.)

Thanks for asking and the followup (plus the few others later). I asked this same question on the main board a few months ago and was told that you had to get it stamped yourself in port. However, it appears that others have had success with leaving it at GS, so we will definitely try that first! That would be so much easier! We would love to get ours stamped as well.

I just don't know if I would trust others with our passports. It's bad enough when you HAVE to give it up.

It's been a while since the geek cruise...forgot. He needs to just let it go and put his faith in his assistant managers.

That's the problem. DH thinks all will fail without him.
Dina keeps asking when daddy doesn't have to go to Avalon anymore... She is so sad when she wakes up and he is already gone. This will be a great break for all of us.

Hello! I have been lurking and learning from all of you over the past few weeks. My wife and I - along with ds 13 and ds 9 will also be on your adventure.

I just wanted to share that at A C Moore craft store here in New Jersey they have pre printed Pirates of the Caribbean pillow cases that you can color on. They come in single packs or 8 in a pack. Since there are always 40% off coupons they would be around 3 a piece. They also have Hannah Montana designs and Princess cases. I thought that this might be a fun way to gather autographs of the characters.

You three ARE very attentive....

Alicia was quickly trying on these dresses for me to consider (and render opinions).... so for what-ever reason she left her jeans on around her ankles. I guess she could not easily slip out of them?

At any rate, she just verified that one dress was originally $134 and reduced to $47 while the RED/Fuscia dress was this seasons' design with a current price of $128 and reduced to $56 with her coupons and so on. Not quite what I recollected earlier... but fair deals still. Approximately 65% and 66.25% off their regular prices. I did not get discount details on the 3rd dress...
