Just saying hello to everyone - hope that your day goes well. Please take care and talk to you soon. Still in search for a formal for my DD6, since the other dress got cancelled yesterday. Disappointing. Also, went to Macy's, Nordstrom, Dillards, JcPenny's ect... and no formal dresses for little girls. Found one possible on ebay and pray we get it.

Take care off to company picnic for my husbands work.

Yah.

Take care,:cool1:

How about a bridal store or bridal sections of the department stores? They may have flower girl dresses that may work. Nordstroms and Macys have some online

Here is one from macys

It works very well...however..I want to give you a heads up..between now and our cruise..there is only one more order date next week...the orders will come in approx. 8/6/08 .. so there is time. If you don't have a representative - thats ok..you can go to AVON . com and find one in your local area.

Desiree, have you ever needed to use it? We don't have mosquitos in San Diego so I haven't used bug repellant for years. Does it contain DEET? DH goes fishing quite often in Montana and Alaska and refuses to use anything without DEET. But I thought DEET wasn't safe :confused3

Thanks,

Michelle

Wow, didn't know that Captain Jack was part of the Renaissance!

Wrong continent and century! Saw an ad on TV last night with their pathetic Captain Jack as part of the Renaissance festival and looked it up online and they have him on the their home page as well.

I thought I remembered reading once that DEET wasn't safe on kids. Googled it and the EPA shows that DEET is safe on children over 2 months old if used properly (and there are lots of warnings on how to apply safely).

Using DEET on children

DEET is approved for use on children over two months old. There is no restriction on the percentage of DEET in the product for use on children, since data do not show any difference in effects between young animals and adult animals in tests done for product registration. There also are no data showing incidents that would lead EPA to believe there is a need to restrict the use of DEET. Consumers are always advised to read and follow label directions in using any pesticide product, including insect repellents.

Cruise related Question

Hi everyone. We too got our docs on Thursday. I noticed that we got 4 luggage tags. I think we are going to have 5 bags total. Can we still check that extra bag with the porter?

Consumer Reports rates Off Deep Woods For Sportsmen I as best, its 95% deet

This is what I picked up - says 98.11% deet. I found a nice small 1oz bottle at Walgreens. I figure I will only be using it for zip lining and Cartagena. Says it lasts 10 hours.

Does anyone remember a product called, "Old Time Woodsman"? When we hiked/camped years ago in the White Mountains during Black Fly season, it was the ONLY thing that would keep black flies from eating us alive. However, we could barely stand ourselves it smelled so bad :rotfl2:

We've used Avon's Skin So Soft in the jungles of Belize and Guatemala and it really DOES work.

Becky, I have heard that the porters had tags to tag your cases of beverages (when beverages were allowed) and extra bags, but that was in Port Canaveral.

First time trying on the Mr. Cotton outfit

We are almost done. :cheer2:

NICE!
Did you make that or buy it? If bought it...where?

Anyone know where do you find(or did you find) Pirate Costumes?
:confused3

I will find it and I bet it will fit Claire. Remind me to give it to you on the ship or I might forget!
But then...... if we ever work out the trip to hawaiian falls (ahem........ LOL) then I could just bring it there. whatcha think? hehe

And LOL about Texas- but the thing is we had horses up until the last couple of years when we moved back in town and my BIL (kids uncle) works on an oil well..... there's some truth to it for us non-city folk. LOL

We can do any day but, Monday/Friday and we can't be anywhere before 2... Samantha has Driver's Ed 11 - 1 and it is in Arlignton near I-20/Little Rd.

Hey no one ever answered me about how they pack their stuff... if they like pack a suitcase per kid or mix/match clothing in each suitcase in case one is lost then it won't be the ENTIRE wardrobe for one person just gone. And if they are putting all FE gifts, door magnets, FE, etc. in one suitcase and just taking the risk all that will be gone if that suitcase gets lost? What are the real odds that would happen anyway? (lost luggage)

Dh has his own suitcase, Samantha packs her own suitcase, Elvis has his own ususally BUT, alot of time I split Claire's stuff up between my suitcase and her brother's.....
And we usually just have one suitcase each.

Sorry your DH is in so much pain. My husband was in an accident and had several discs removed. Every day is a struggle. He hasn't experienced any migraines thankfully.
Sounds like you had a great family day.

 I think the migraines are from the missing discs in his neck -- just my novice opinion. ;)

Hey Shelley, I will never pack one person per suitcase again. On our very first Disney cruise the boys were much smaller and I could pack all their stuff except formal wear in individual rolling backpacks that each one was responsible for. We made it all the way from California to Florida with no problems. At the port we had them leave their backpacks with the porter, tagged and ready to go, so they wouldn't have to drag them around the ship for the afternoon. You guessed it, one of the backpacks never made it to our cabin. The short story is DCL was very accomodating and gave us some t-shirts, laundry soap and a few items from the Treasure Ketch. Rachel was the CD and came to our room to talk with DS who was 9 at the time. He was really upset because his Beanie Baby tiger was in the backpack along with the journal his grandmother had given him to write down all his experiences. She had some stuffed animals sent to our cabin later that day and took DS down to pick out another journal.

The backpack was eventually returned when someone in a suite was putting out their bags on the last night of the cruise and realized this red rolling backpack did not belong to them! My first reaction was "Geez, those suites must be HUGE to not notice a red rolling backpack for a whole week that isn't yours".

Michelle

UGH!!! How frustrating!!!! I will say that when we stayed in the Roy I put all of the suitcases/carry-ons in this little storage room and never opened the door again until we needed to pack to leave! But, I know what suitcases we have and would notice if one of them wasn't ours! Dh wouldn't though......

Oils well, that ends well? How is J R nowadays?

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: BIL had a friend from LA (dh & bil grew up in California) ask him where he put his horse when he went to the airport! :lmao:

Ebay - and most of the sellers have a store linked to their auction- so if you don't like the item displayed, click on their store and they will have a variety of costumes and sizes in their on-line store.

...or just google "pirate" and tons of sites will come up
