If you like the old style, fun, musicals you will like HSM! I really enjoy fun movies like that.
And the songs are catchy!

If you happen to see adults not behaving their age when HSM is on Ariel View, I'm not one of them ;)

Andy

I wonder how popular they really are... they have no appearances or tours scheduled according to their website.
Oh trust me, they are still popular enough! Of course having a DD14 and a DD9 helps me know this!

I'm not a fan of boy bands...but, I love things like HSM! :lmao: :lmao:

I bet you lucked out and didn't have to watch Best of Both Worlds in 3-D last night!!! :lmao: :rotfl2:
That's why having a TV downstairs is a wonderful thing!

10ds wants to be Ryan in the movie since he has so many hats........

Me too!!
DS11 now says he doesn't like HSM anymore because the got tired of the songs. DD13 and I still watch it when it is one and she is looking forward to HSM3

Maybe because of this?
"Guests are required to walk across approximatley 2,000 yards of uneven and uphill terrain"
It is also listed as an 'active' tour

Also maybe because it is a 4.5 hour tour most of which will consist of walking and standing, and I am sure that that it will be HOT

Well, I may not be pregnant but I sure look like it! :)

I have signed up for the Best of Cartagena tour and will wait for the day. If it's too hot for me, I just won't go. It will be worth the loss of $49 rather than making myself go because I paid and ending up heatsick. I can recover from the blow to the pocketbook real quick. I cannot recover from heatsickness or heatstroke as easily...

Back from some afternoon shopping to get cat food. Along the way I got a swimsuit finally - thank you Sports Basement. Also found a dress at Lane Bryant and 2 at Ross. Also found 2 tops at Lane Bryant to go with the dress pants I found the other day at the Dress Barn as well as a pair of shorts and carpis.

So I am going to get things organized tomorrow morning and see what else I may need because I have to get to Sears in San Bruno (on public transportation) since my vaccum died the other day and bought a new one today online for in-store pick-up. I figured since I am down there I will hit the Target and what else I can find that I may need or is a good deal. (maybe will find a tiara)

Monica - If I am successful finding the skirt I have in mind (I saw it earlier this summer) I may take you up on borrowing your previous Pirate costume if it is still available.

Absolutely, just let me know

I have a plain black skirt that I only use with the outfit. You can use it if needed.

We finally got booked on the Los Veranos tour in PV at 2:00. Didn't think we were going to get in. Just trying to finalize all the plans, still trying to get a dolphin swim in Cabo. I can't believe 3 weeks from today we will all be sailing together!

Debi

Debi - the cabo dolphin swim is currently showing available to book through DCL

I'm going to try and pick up a Minnie Mouse Sweat**** for my DMIL. About how far is the Orangefair Mall from HoJos? We'll only have Sat. to find one,so may just skip it and I'll find one online for her after we get back.

I picked up a nice one in the gift shop of the DL hotel a couple of years ago and they were about $25. I love it and still wear it. It washes really well. If you are going to DL take a look at the shops there

The Orangefair mall is AT LEAST 3 miles north of the HoJo's.

Does anyone know which date the CC member party was held on the wB?
I tried looking at the navigators but I must have missed it. I do remember hearing it was held as a deck party because there were so many CC members

Is anyone here staying on the ship in Cartagena because of safety concerns? We are scheduled for the city walking tour, but I was just on the Dept. of State's website and Colombia is still listed as one of the countries they don't recommend that you travel to and a new warning was issued in Feb. 2008. I want to get off the ship to add one more place to my been there list :), but I'm worried. I was also puzzled by why our tour says not recommended for women who are expecting.

A young lady that we know was born and raised in Colombia, and Cartagena is where her family always went for their vacations...her family who lives there still do.
Anyway.....I think we're perfectly safe there. I think that the warnings are more for the "inland" parts of Colombia.

Who are Ally and AJ?:confused3
:

I agree! Here's their website. No mention of an appearance on the Magic http://www.alyandaj.com/welcome.php

Maybe since there is no mention that they have an appearance on their site... they are actually on the ship? :confused3 I know who they are because my DD watches Cowbelles all the time! I told DD they might be on the ship (might being the important word) ... she is 11 and her words? :woohoo: :woohoo: So I guess it would be a hit with the tweens.

We are doing the Best of Cartagena Tour and I am sure it will be fine...it is a tourist area ...as for women who are expecting..I think it is a lot of walking but if you ae not yet expecting..you should be fine.

And we have "Cowboys and Indians" all over the place!

That's ok...everyone always asks me if I see all of the celebrities all the time...umm..yeah... my house is the happening place in California.

Ohhh....did you see our entire family sitting on the couch watching??? LOL
The 3D effects were pretty cool at times...flying confetti, drum sticks and stuff.

Tori had 2 friends over for the concert...screaming girls in my living room! I have a really cute picture of them with their 3D glasses on...I gave them each one of the blinking braids I bought on Ebay..they fit right in!

Somewhere in this pic is our guest bedroom lol.

Andy

How did you get a picture of my family room? :rotfl:

Well..at midnight last night..I decided..it was time to try on my formal..and it fits! :woohoo: put the tiara on with it..looks nice... so I am ready to go..now I just need to find my pirate t-**** and also see if any of Disney tropical dresses fit....

Will pull in the rest of the suitcases today and start to figure out if I need to buy anything else. My Dropps also came in at Walmart so I have to run over there today.

Everyones pirate costumes look magnificent!!! I don't know what I'm going to do. I picked up a pirate looking blouse and a red and white striped shirt and thought I could wear it with a black uneven skirt or black capris. You are all so talented I'm going to have to look further.

I didn't see it on the WB Navigators as it is by invitation only often it is not shown, but you would be able to see that the Goofy pool area is closed off.

I seem to remember ours on the EB in 2005, was held at the Goofy pool, from 5pm, due to the 1750 CC members on board, food and drink supplied, and the Captain spoke from the Goofy stage.

I think it will be on the sea days after Acapulco.

Edit

It was on DAY 4, the second sea day on the cruise, ie Tuesday May 13th, if you look at page 4, the Goofy pool closed at 3pm, so I think it was at 4.00pm 4.30pm. The goofy pool reopened later at 6pm.

We haven't started yet but I guess I should be getting started on that. I just have been trying to get dresses, shoes, FE stuff, tuxes ect...Haven't packed fill like I am behind. :confused3

With Aly & AJ  that will be awesome for the kids if they do go. I looked :surfweb: also on their site and see no plans for them so I think maybe you might be right. That would be so cool if there were more famous people on our cruise too. I know that I have seen :happytv: I believe it's Aly on some disney movies too. I thought she was great, if I am correct on the right person.

I hope everyone's day is going well, it's getting warm here in Colorado and loving this weather. Since we just moved here from Portland, OR.

I just want to say thank you for all your finds and updates on this site it's been very helpful for me as well. I can't wait to meet you all or most of you. :cheer2:

Also, I did watch :3dglasses Miley last night with my DD6 and it was really cool too. DH kinda threw away the :3dglasses and I had to have him fish them out of the garbage. LOL:rotfl: He thought we didn't need them. I took DD6 to see it in the theater and she just loved it. I wasn't able to take her to the concert because by the time I thought about it. It was so late. :sad1:
So, I took her to the movie. :cool1:

Please take care and talk with you soon. Update on the DD6 Dress search, I found one on ebay that I just love so hopefully DH will win, so far it looks like he is the winner, cross your fingers cause I need a dress for her.

Take care,

Yeah!

Finally finished all our costumes. Now the task of packing them, ugh!

Here is my oldest daughter in her ES POTC Gold Gown:

The shoes took 8 weeks, had an old world cobbler make them in Canada. Great job! I dressed them up a little based on the originals from the movie.

Call me crazy but I had a ball creating it.

Was looking for a pirate costume for my DH online. I said wait til you see what this lady made for her daughter on the disboards. You have totally blew him away, all he could say is WOW!!!
