I'm so sorry about DH. I can only imagine how much that hurts.... I have some disc "issues" (after an accident when Rita was about 1yrs old... and thank God she wasn't with me at the time which was very uncommon to ever be anywhere without my kids! I'd just switched vehicles and Jeff left to take the kids home in the minivan and I took his vehicle to go shopping before going home to a different town than we were in.... I was stopped behind someone else waiting to turn left so I got slammed in the back- then that slammed me into the car in front of me so I got hit from the rear then hit the car in front... double whammy) - and I can only imagine how much WORSE it has to hurt to be completely missing discs! OMG....

Thats one of the best detailed posts I have read on Palo tipping ever, there is often so much debate on this on the main forum, who does/ who doesn't who think its included in the service charge.
This gives good direction.
I have always 'doubled' the PALO charge, per person as a tip, so ie a $15pp charge, I will tip $15pp. Maybe right/ maybe wrong, but the regular Palo staff always seem to be happy every time I see them.
This includes the Palo private room ,where each stateroom ( ie reservation) gets a separate bill and you can add a tip.
I have seen many different levels of tips, in Palo, ( rubbernecking) and see people do tip how they feel, or even not at all.
Marco brought one of every desert to the table along with a souffle for each of us. He was chatting and removing the wrap from the terimitsu [sp?] and suddenly the knife slipped and the whipped topping on it flew across the table at me. It got on my dress and face. We were all cracking up but Marco was totally embarrassed...and concerned. We assured him that it was fine and added to the meal. We joked about it last cruise too.
Simular to what i do,We usually tip $30-$40. We have been taken care of by Sasha on our first trip and Marco since then, who makes Palo an experience and a personal buffet at our table. We are a little disappointed not to have him taking care of us on our cruise but have a feeling that he will be keep an eye out to make sure that we are enjoying our time there. I will always remember our 12/05 dinner with our Geek friends John and Amy.
The docs say that. The sign on the wall at security says that. The security personel will ask you if there is ice in the softsided cooler before they put it through the scanner and comment that someone must be planning to have a good time as it goes through revealing your loot.

DH is feeling really bad..... He doesn't know if it is the pain in his neck and back (he has degenative (sp?) disc disease) or the lack of sleep from the extreme pain the last few days that is the problem.
I think he needs to find a Dr and see about doing the disc replacement surgery -- I can't remember the total number but, he is missing several discs. His migraines might go away...also....
I feel really bad for any of you that have chronic pain.
for DHI took the 2 youngest kids to the Dr for their yearly check ups this morning.... They told the Dr where they were going... He told them that his Great Grandfather (or Great, great) was the 1st person all the way throught hte completed in canal. He was the lead (head?) explosive person and he rode on the first boat through. He climbed out of the boat and hung from the front so that he would be the 1st person through! LOL!

I've had disc problems with my neck in the past, avoided surgery with 2 courses of steroids, but obviously not as bad as your DH
I had to sleep in a neck brace or I would wake up in pain several times during the night if I moved my neck
I've been pretty lucky the past few years that it hasn't come back.
Hope your DH feels better soon
