scared me too the first time I heard it. LOUD

First time we sailed with Disney I didn't know they blow it every day at noon. I was taking a nice nap at the adult pool, when it went off....yes, I literally jumped out of my skin.

Debi[/QUOTE]

Never knew they did that. Never heard it on my past 4 cruises. Anyone else?

She's less fazed by it than I am, let me tell ya! Course now we have to go back on Monday and see if they can find blood then... :( :scared1:

DGKs had to get blood work every 6 months since infants. We had a tech at Nemours who did all the kids. It is hard to find one outside at any of the labs that can be quick and hit the right spot.DH has bloodwork done pretty much every month and he will show them where to go on his hand if they miss it on the arm.He has those rolling veins which are hard to grab.We have been lucky at our lab but I have to say the Drs office used to do it and the girl did the wiggle the needle under the skin thing and he went ballistic on her.The girl must have been fresh out of school. That is when they gave us the script to go outside. Call around and find a lab that handles little ones.

Hey folks!! :wave2: LTNS...did I miss anything??

Well, I'm taking my doctors' (yes, plural, doctors) post-discharge advise to try and get more towards sea level because the 30% less oxygen up here isn't good for my health. (1.5 weeks in the hospital, 4 days comatose in ICU wasn't my idea of fun :sad2:)

So, in an effort to reduce the risk of another attack and for long-term health.....I GOT A NEW JOB!

We are transferring from

Pretty much the same job, just going to do it in Arizona (~2000 ft altitude) instead of Colorado (7500 ft altitude). For those of you who pay attention to such things, yes, we've only been here in Colorado about 19 months. We will probably move in the next few weeks, it all depends on when Global Mobility can schedule the movers to come pack up the house and load an available truck.

Hey HC. I must have missed something but glad you are well. How is Gabby? Tell her I said Hi.

Do you have nothing to do on Saturday afternoon before the cruise? Are you staying at the DL resort but not going to the parks? Do you plan on having an afternoon break from your busy park touring schedule?

Well do I have a great meet for you!

Come meet and eat candy, cookies and other assorted goodies at Marceline's Confectionery.

A small group of Dis'ers are meeting at 3.30pm outside Marceline's Confectionery at Downtown Disney and all are welcome to come along.

PM if you'd like to come along or just turn up :)

May be a plan. How far from the Hojo is DTD?

For your Saturday viewing enjoyment, I send to you what I just received from one of my friends. I loved so hard. What a way to start my day! :happytv:

Oh that is too funny. I'm trying to think of who I can send it too.

The more the merrier! Just didn't want to make it a scheduled event so we can play it by ear as to where, when and how.

Roger, DS would like to know if you have a Flicker account? He has only had his camera six weeks but is now an expert --> just ask him ;)

Actually, I give him a lot of credit, he has researched this camera to death and is spending his summer refining his photographic skills rather than playing Halo on the XBox with all his friends :surfweb:

Michelle

No I do not have a Flicker acct, I have several photo sites online but that is not one of them. I will post the time on my door after we go through PC.

Good Morning, hope everyone has a good weekend,

Four weeks tomorrow!:cool1:

Morning Andrew, watching the Open right now. What a cold/windy summer day.

We are going next weekend. Every summer the kids participate in the Summer Reading Programs at the local libraries, and one of the "prizes" that they got this year was a pass for a free ticket to the circus. Since my youngest doesn't actually need a ticket yet, we only had to purchase one ticket and got the other 4 for free! What a bargain! I'm sure the kids will more than make up for it when they want sno-cones, cotton candy, etc! :rotfl:

Your pictures turned out great. I wasn't sure if they'd allow us to bring cameras in.

Kim

I think that it depends on the venue. Staple center allowed non-zooming cameras so I took my DW pocket P/S. Also no flash allowed.

Hello everyone!

Just a quick hello from work. The ER is not very active at this time.

Hope everyone's TOAL preparations are going well.

:)

One of those quiet full moons.

I just cannot wait......

Logging into Dreams it tells me

Disneyland

Your Vacation begins in 24 Days

And this cruise

Your Vacation begins in 28 Days

Kids start school holidays today, off three weeks before the cruise and Disneyland :scared1: :scared:

I'll have to check and see what the policy on cameras is where we're going. Wow...you must have had great seats if those were taken with a P/S (and no flash)!

Yes The Open is on, bad weather first morning, lots of wind, but should be better during today is on the coast there so not much to protect it, and Sunday, on BBC from 10.00am > 7pm every day without interruptions.

UPDATE

Actually it is very windy and expected to get worse, they have thought about suspension, but currently decided to go on.

I just cannot wait......

I think you pretty much say if for all of us, Andrew.

So long ago, it seemed like the day would never arrive. Now, recently, I wonder if I will have enough time to get ready. Yeah . . . I'm ready! :thumbsup2

I'm going on the Talofa Tall Ships. Only saw one comment from a trip report that was favorable. Frankly, I was astonished it wasn't more popular - I expect it to be one of the high points of the trip for me. To sail on a tall ship... what a treat!

We'll be on this one with you! Kevin is very excited about this as well.

I think I swapped my mode a few weeks back, when booked 18 months seemed so long away, but we are nearly there now, and it seems to be going slower....

Little signs.... The GTY assignments, next the Tickets...show we are getting to the final stretch.

I am more than happy to help any of the DU clients on this cruise with specific questions about your reservations. It's best to send me an email at tracy@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com because I will see it sooner, but a PM will be ok. Just be sure to tell me your real name or I won't be able to know who you are :)

Awe come on! Aren't the computers set up to match up our alter IDs? :lmao:

I'm on cloud nine right now:cloud9:
I've been accepted into the hoteling program at work. It's where I get to telecommute for 4 out of 5 days per week:woohoo: They will send my computer equipment home and I just have to set up a home office (go out and buy a good desk). I start training on the new software first week of August:banana:
I'll be working from home by the 2nd week:cool1:
Working for the gov't is not bad at all. I'm a patent examiner.

The kids are thrilled too:lmao:
Mom can drive them places now:rolleyes:

That is great especially with gas prices! I really enjoy working from home, though it took a while for everyone else to understand that mommy was working for pay now. :)

Loved it!

Morning all. Gotta love that I am up already even if I did not get in until 2:30 am. Darn internal alarm clock. Did not drink too much, but smoked a cigar with my friends. Ugh that makes me feel about as gross as a hangover and I did not even finish the darn thing and brushed my teeth when I got home. Oh well. Having a light breakfast and will get started I guess. Can't wait to meet everyone this afternoon at our meet. (ooh must get out camera and charge battery.) Catch everyone later.

After a favour from a westcoaster...

Can anyone help me out? DD has asked for a Libby lu makeover, but everytime I remember, you west coasters would be well & truly pushing the Z's. Can anyne help me out & make a ressie for her? If you can, please PM me

TIA

Celestine

ps. My TA reckons cruise docs should come out this week as she received the 10 August docs on Thursday

See you on the ship.

I didn't realize you were Penny's sister. Is everything okay? I haven't seen her post in a while and I know she was interested in the SF meet.
