I'm thinking DD14 will still like her!

Our last cruise Pikey introduced us as 'the DaCosta family from Washington state and the DIS boards!' It was just the coolest!

Thanks so much!

Oh, I think our DD's are going to be like 2 peas in a pod! They sound so much alike!:rotfl:

Maybe we should all have them announce our name and say we're from Captain Jack's crew???

After a favour from a westcoaster...

Can anyone help me out? DD has asked for a Libby lu makeover, but everytime I remember, you west coasters would be well & truly pushing the Z's. Can anyne help me out & make a ressie for her? If you can, please PM me

TIA

Celestine

ps. My TA reckons cruise docs should come out this week as she received the 10 August docs on Thursday

That sounds good and so far I have had a good track record in receiving those early here in the UK,I think they do send out the overseas ones quickly at the start, and UPS, delivers them fast.

So I will look at my post each and every day next week,

If anyone had answers to these questions- I missed them and I'm afraid that my post might get lost if we start a new thread tomorrow!

Anyone help with these questions?

The meet information is in the Pre Cruise/LA section of the Pirate Zone. There's the Fantasmic meet and an Electric Parade meet (different days). The other DL meet fell through because the organizer had to back out of planning. So far no one else has stepped up.

The Fantasmic and EP info will also be in the Navigators.

For your Saturday viewing enjoyment, I send to you what I just received from one of my friends. I loved so hard. What a way to start my day! :happytv:

Anyone else thinking that we could get Todd's temp tattoo company to make a bunch of the Fr. Mike for Pres back tattoos and have his congregation sport them when the Bishop is visiting? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Loved the vid Mike, sent it on to a bunch of friends

Hey folks!! :wave2: LTNS...did I miss anything??

Well, I'm taking my doctors' (yes, plural, doctors) post-discharge advise to try and get more towards sea level because the 30% less oxygen up here isn't good for my health. (1.5 weeks in the hospital, 4 days comatose in ICU wasn't my idea of fun :sad2:)

So, in an effort to reduce the risk of another attack and for long-term health.....I GOT A NEW JOB!

Well there is our long lost rocket scientist! Good golly HC, you've had quite the time. I'm glad you are OK. Say hi to Amy & the kids.

I'm on cloud nine right now:cloud9:
I've been accepted into the hoteling program at work. It's where I get to telecommute for 4 out of 5 days per week:woohoo: They will send my computer equipment home and I just have to set up a home office (go out and buy a good desk). I start training on the new software first week of August:banana:
I'll be working from home by the 2nd week:cool1:
Working for the gov't is not bad at all. I'm a patent examiner.

The kids are thrilled too:lmao:
Mom can drive them places now:rolleyes:

YAY YOU!
We budgeting at work for next year right now and it is really tight. I told my boss I'd take less $$ if I could work from home. No Metro or daycare would save me a ton of money & most of my department expenses are, well, me. I doubt it will happen, but I wanted to throw it on the table.

OK, heading out to get my Fr. Mike tattoo.
Catch up with ya later.

Oh yeah, Jeff wants to really dive. He doesn't even like the sound of the DCL excursions I've read where they say 20 ft deep and he's like what? that's a waste of time getting in the gear. LOL
His FIRST scuba dive (before getting certified here at home) was a few years ago at our Jamaica resort and he liked it so much he has been hooked ever since. So your DH/DS should have a great time....... and don't be surprised if they also become hooked on diving afterwards. hehe

LOL
I answered your PM too.
If they are alike in what you quoted me just now.. we better make sure the hang out with the good influences like Samantha! hehe

My husband is a diver too and is looking for others to dive with. He won't do the DCL excursions because he is experienced and thinks he gets a better deal with an outside dive operation. If you want PM me, and we can hook them up so they can share info and maybe dive together. I would much rather him going out with friends rather than by himself. Of course I always worry, so we could worry together. The girls and I usually do our excursions without him and then meet back up on the ship in the afternoon.

Debi

This is sooo tempting!

Debi- You are welcome to look at mine when you are here. I really want someone to be bale to use this.

She's less fazed by it than I am, let me tell ya! Course now we have to go back on Monday and see if they can find blood then... :( :scared1:

Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate! If you can "push" in her some extra liquids, it would hydrate her veins and it would make it easier to get in her vein.

Now about to turn 25dd told me that she has a *preconception* appt with her OB/GYN on Tuesday. :confused3 *preconception*????

I did not know they did this. Seems like a good idea.

DH and I will be in the gym too - gotta keep the routine going as much as we can, even on vacation!

I think you'll like the Sun & Sand - we had one of the large candles and used to burn it all the time, until it ran out. Right now I have a Bay Breeze candle burning - makes me feel like I'm on the water right now.

Must be cooler there. If I burned a candle this time of year my $500+ elec bill would go even higher. I love them in the winter though.

Pretty much the same job, just going to do it in Arizona (~2000 ft altitude) instead of Colorado (7500 ft altitude). For those of you who pay attention to such things, yes, we've only been here in Colorado about 19 months. We will probably move in the next few weeks, it all depends on when Global Mobility can schedule the movers to come pack up the house and load an available truck.

Congratulations!! Sounds like it worked out perfectly. I am wishing you much better health. :thumbsup2

Dis we ever get confirmation that we will have Pikey and Christian on our cruise? I hope so. We loved them on our cruise.

That requires multiple bananas! You will LOVE it! Best thing that ever happened to me!
Do you work in any particular specialization of patents? They have always really interested me. I took a law class once on patents just for fun.

YAY YOU!

Took me forever to get to "Homeshore". In our company if you work less than full time from home you are a "Telecommuter" but full time, you are a "Homeshorer". :confused3
It is a real money saver for the company and certainly me too.
I was really racking up the miles of my car but when I started working from home I decided to save my car for DD in 4 years when she is 16 because it is new and just sits in the garage all day.
Mind you we live across the street from the High School so who knows how much she will even need to drive it anyway.

I have a 17dd that LOVES Twilight & the Jonas Bros.! She doesn't like HP..... Of course she also likes alot of other more *grown up* stuff! LOL!

Our local bookstore is hosting a Twilight Ball on Aug. 1 from 8-12. They are selling tank tops that say "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob", they are having trivia contests during the week with buttons and stickers. Then at midnight they are handing out the book. Should be fun!:)

So sorry to hear this. I know exactly how you are going to feel. When we returned to WDW after my dad (55) passed in '05, I unexpectantly started crying uncontrollable as we approached AK. The last time we had been there was with him and the rest of the family in '02. I could not believe how the emotion swept over me! Prepare yourself and maybe it will go smoother for you.

Sorry June!

About Samantha- I could see that about her- not wanting to be in trouble. I told you she'd be a good influence on Ruby! LOL Ruby isn't a trouble maker- I could just see her -if with older teens- just going along with the flow if they were wanting to do anything against any rules (like maybe just against MY rules but not necessarily considered misbehavior on the cruise. KWIM?) just to fit in, not make waves, not look like a baby to them, etc. Yanno?

My DD (14) tries to look & act cool & she frowns on anything that smacks of teeny bopper, i.e. Disney, HSM, Jonas Bros. etc. However, she is very much a home body. She loves to read & spends quite a bit of her time on her lap top designing clothes on Star Dolls. She is very mature for her age & is the first to yell at my DS (11) if he even attempts to do something wrong. She babysits a lot, because our neighbors know how mature & well behaved she is. I'm hoping she finds some young teens she can hang with & relate to. :confused3

DH2B changed our Palo ressie to CC night now. He didn't want to have to get dressed up again - 3 nights in a row was getting to be a lot, I guess? :) With the first formal night the next night, I'm sure it will work better. I'm just trying to not take over any kind of control with the planning, except for the packing and pirate antics. So I guess we'll miss all of you that night after all. But I'm sure you'll be able to pick us out at another time...or maybe not, based on the thousands of others on the ship. ::confused3

Oh looks like you might've grabbed my old Palo reservation. Well glad you let me know, otherwise I'd be waving to some young love birds thinking they're you! Don't even want to know what they might think of that! ;)

The code is DCC. I don't believe it is automatic yet. I have found out over time which CMs will help and which will not. I just call back :rolleyes1

All payments need to be made with the Disney Visa to qualify. Some of the CMs will add the DCC code automatically when the final payment is made if it's using the Disney Visa. Others expect you to ask for it.

I am more than happy to help any of the DU clients on this cruise with specific questions about your reservations. It's best to send me an email at tracy@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com because I will see it sooner, but a PM will be ok. Just be sure to tell me your real name or I won't be able to know who you are :)

Thanks so much Tracy! You might be sorry you posted that! Ha ha! Just kidding! I'm all set now...I think! ;)

That was hilarious! I had to pass it on of course! :rolleyes1

"First time we sailed with Disney I didn't know they blow it every day at noon. I was taking a nice nap at the adult pool, when it went off....yes, I literally jumped out of my skin."

Never knew they did that. Never heard it on my past 4 cruises. Anyone else?

It happened once when I was by the adult pool. I don't know if it was noon or if it was every day, but I happened to be sitting at Signals & they made an announcement that they were going to blow the horn & I STILL jumped out of my skin! :scared1:

I am going to get them announce us as two families

The ''Cheaper ''

and

Carnivals.

'Welcome to the Disney Magic, Carnivals cheaper, from Port Canaveral.''

I had to read that to Mike! It cracked me up! :lmao:

Take Care...We moved back to Colorado about 14 months ago. Not sure where in Colorado you are, but three DIS families on the cruise are meeting tonight in downtown Denver. Just PM me if you're interested in joining us.

Hope your move goes well.

I got the idea from a U-TUBE, video, we have a few supermarkets in competition here, and a couple have names, TESCO, and another for example ADSA, its owned by Wallmart.

Someone phoned ASDA, and said their child was lost in the store and could they put out an announcement.

They said the surname is COsCheaper, and her first name is TESS,

You hear it come out on U-Tube,

TESCO's CHEAPER, TESCOS CHEAPER, Calling TESCO's CHEAPER.

Hi all -

Quick question - does anyone know what time the Pirate bus is picking up at the Grand Californian? I have sent a PM to smeeCanada as well, just thought someone might know.

We have to drop off our rental car at the Anaheim Hilton and can't do that until 9:00 am, I just want to make sure we will have plenty of time to get everything done.

Thanks -

Krista

Now about to turn 25dd told me that she has a *preconception* appt with her OB/GYN on Tuesday. :confused3 *preconception*????

I guess that is what I did about 6 months before we got married. I was 30 and wanted to make sure that everything was okay because we wanted to start a family right away and I didn't want to have kids after 35 so that we can enjoy our retirement without STs at home still. ;) I had all the bloodwork done including the one that determines if you have already contracted the virus that is the reason they say not to clean the catbox when you are pregnant since we had a cat. I already had it after 25 years with cats so that wasn't going to be a worry for us. I also started on prenatal vitamins. We were blessed and had DS just a couple weeks after our first anniversary. :cloud9:
