Anyone plan on taking morning walks around deck 4?? I was going to be doing this with Craftymouse..but she and her family had to cancel.

I didn't realize they canceled. Are you walking for exercise or just up early?
There are a bunch of early risers that will be out and about

We always have the debate over which name(s) to give them! I didn't change my name when we got married. Then I made things more confusing by naming my son (first name) using my last name. His first name is Darrah. So far, we always end up hyphenating and telling them it is Darrah-<DH's surname> and DS thinks they are saying his name. It is probably tradition now and we'll have to keep doing it.

OH...see the wire frame around the light fixture? I'm the one who IS guilty of hanging two small "S" hooks on there...to dry swimsuits only!!

Stacey, somehow I think that the S hooks were forgiven considering the view next door.

She posted a week or so ago that her husband broke his knee wakeboarding and so they had to cancel. I decided that I should stop procrastinating on buying that trip insurance after reading that!

Just sitting here with the stacks of papers that I have accumulated in the past 2 weeks... Can someone help me with some answers?

Anyone know where I can get a large package of bonine or dramamine? I have checked a couple stores, and the largest that I can find is 8 tablets...not going to go far with 4 people.

Also...what do people use for kids under 6 when it comes to seasickness? The pharmacist was trying to sell me on the seabands, but I know that my 3 year old will just turn those in to big fat rubberbands.

Anyone going on the Talofa Tall Ships in Cabo? Wondering if anyone has heard much about this.

Lastly, last week during chat...someone (sorry, don't remember who) had mentioned that arrangements had been made in Aruba for snorkeling and a rope swing. I contacted the company, but no response. Anyone know if there is still space available? Or who is in charge?

That's exactly what my daughter said when I mentioned those things to her- she said Oh I love Twilight! (I already knew she liked JOnas brothers) but she kinda scrunched up her face and said I don't really like HP though. LOL Hmm maybe they will get along well! And I'm all for Samantha's maturity rubbing off on Ruby some. hehe

For bathing suits I usually order a size up...... I guess I won't with Disneyshopping.com! LOL!

Anyway, I did not get far. I called DCL & they say I can NOT book this ahead of time. I will gladly go to shutters as soon as they open & speak to the manager & try to set up a time, hopefully for the afternoon of PC day & then stick an invite on everybody's fish who is listed on the Pirate Roster. Does that sound feasible?

I can never smell "Shore Breeze" again thanks to my Mom on our last cruise. Those bathrooms are tiny Mom- do no need 3 squirts.

Bring some for me too, please! Last cruise we took (March 2007) we invited my Mom to go with us. Little did we know at the time that she would pass away in October. It was the next to the last time we would see her alive. This will be bittersweet.

So sorry to hear this. I know exactly how you are going to feel. When we returned to WDW after my dad (55) passed in '05, I unexpectantly started crying uncontrollable as we approached AK. The last time we had been there was with him and the rest of the family in '02. I could not believe how the emotion swept over me! Prepare yourself and maybe it will go smoother for you.

I always bring Gold Canyon (Candles) car air freshener. It's on a cardboard card that you peel back the plastic on, to release only as much fragrance at a time as you need.

I just purchaced Yankee Candle car fresheners for this reason.

This works, we did it during the Mini meet earlier this year but.....be prepared to move around quite a bit to get a decent (semi decent) viewing spot.

IMHO the best way to to both events is on two separate evenings (this assumes you have at least 2 nights at DL)

The DL Fansatmic is way better than at WDW

We have two more days on our WDW pass so we plan one day at DL and one at CA. We are used to hustling around MK to get places so I will put this in DH's hands to get us there. LOL! We have watched the DL show online and actually have it burned on DVD. I have been in awe of the WDW show so am really looking forward to seeing the DL show in person.

I sure need it tonight! Geez what a day. It started with going out to lunch where the service was poor (we're used to that in this town though). Then we took DD to have blood drawn for allergy testing... Apparently no one knows how to draw blood on a 1yr old so they missed in both arms and then ya know moved the needle around try and find the vein. They got NO blood... We made them stop when she was alternating between holding her breath till she was blue and hyperventillating!
Then DH took my car to the nursery and Home Depot 45 minutes away. He calls me because the alarm is going off and he can't disarm it or start the car or anything....

Think I'll head to Pirate chat after DD goes to bed .

OH MY GOSH!!!! That poor little girl -- and mom & dad watching this horror take place!!!!! If we were near I'ld bring over the Rum Runners!!!

Fireworks are best viewed from the hub, looking at the castle. The hub is in the upper right of the map, round street with 4 green patches in it, the castle is straight up where you can see the moat.

Fantasmic is over at the Rivers of America, left side of the picture, the river looks white. The viewing is all the concrete in front of the Rivers, no seating like at WDW.

It would be very tough, especially with young children, to try to get over to Fantasmic and be able to see the show. It's very crowded and the pathways over to Fantasmic are small (and I think they try to keep them one way during Fantasmic - I just don't remember which way each is).

I don't recommend trying to do both on the same night. Even for us experienced DL folks, it's still tough.

THanks for the information. I am ordering a DL passporter to help us out there. Since we will only be at DL for one day, we are going to have to try to see both and just get the best view we can for Fantasmic. Just wondering if the view from the hub is the same deal as at WDW. We have found that trying different spots around the park a bit away from the center have been an okay view. THe first time we were told to sit in front of the castle where we were for the parade. NOT the best advised since most of the fireworks were out of our view behind the castle.

About Samantha- I could see that about her- not wanting to be in trouble. I told you she'd be a good influence on Ruby! LOL Ruby isn't a trouble maker- I could just see her -if with older teens- just going along with the flow if they were wanting to do anything against any rules (like maybe just against MY rules but not necessarily considered misbehavior on the cruise. KWIM?) just to fit in, not make waves, not look like a baby to them, etc. Yanno?

Oh those bathing suits are huge! You have seen me- you know my size.. and yet the size 8 disney swimsuit fits me? I'm so not a size 8....... not even close. LOL Well everything fits, including my gigantic hiney (ugh) EXCEPT FOR um..... the chest area. that part barely fits in there. LOL I'll probably just wear my regular plain ole green 1pc IF I even get a swimsuit. This time I might since it's a longer cruise. Last time I brought swimsuits and never put them on. LOL

And haven't we talked about a DIS meet at DL on that Saturday? Is there a thread about this with more info, on the pirate board?
