You're not the only one! I ended up gluing mine on.
I just taped mine on. And instead of using the 2nd expensive roll of magnetic tape (yes, I plan on returning that one LOL) the lightbulb finally went off due to someone else's post and I started cutting up some of the BAZILLION magnets we have on our fridge from various businesses, etc. and taping those on! geesh why didn't I think of that sooner? LOL
penny for your thoughts please
Just curious what everyone's thoughts are on this. Well on these 2 issues.
Okay #1
Concerning the age changes... I'm still not keen on my eldest being in the teen section and BEFORE I realized it wasn't up to 14 in the OC I'd mentioned that to her- and now she thinks she's in the OC age group and doing the activities /not hanging out in the stack/etc. ARe they gonna let me put her down with 11-13yr olds? Trust me not a problem with her getting along with them and enjoying the activities....... just not sure if they'll let her and then she'll be disappointed with the "hanging out" in the stack. She's not a hang out kind of person. LOL
But do they really do lots of activities in the 11-13 age group I wonder? Like they did with the 10-12 age group she was in last time?
If I let her go to the teen group and she's just totally miserable- do you think they'd let her switch to the younger age group? Would you suggest trying that first as it might be harder to switch to teen group (since everyone says that first night is a "do not miss" in order to make friends/etc. in the teen group) later for some reason- than it would be to maybe switch to younger group if she's just having a totaly boring time in the teen age group?
Okay #2
Your thoughts on putting my barely just turned 8yr old (youngest DD) in the club instead of the lab?
Couple of reasons.......
A) she's just barely turned 8
B) she's small for her age- not that size matters but she just tends to gel better with kids her age or younger, not OLDER kids up to age 10. yanno? For instance she's all excited to see Claire again but she won't be with her- Claire is 7 and will be in the club! She was NOT pleased when I explained that to her.
C) she'll be in the same age group as her brother... okay so my kids aren't lovely little angels and the younger two ESPECIALLY don't always get along so great. At the time we booked I thought she'd be mostly grouped off with 8-9yrs old and he'd be with 10-12 but now that's all changed and they'll be together.
D) she still just likes the type of things they would do in the club and not sure she'll like the activities in the lab that would relate to older children up to age 10...... the stuff they did in the lab on the last cruise interested my older two but would not interest my daughter, even now- so if they do the same type of stuff (ie: both still have similar activities for the same ages as before) she's not gonna dig it so much. My son will have a blast- but she will probably be less inclined to spend time in the lab as she would in the club.
So what do you think? Should I put her down in the club or in the lab with the big kids plus her brother?? It seems to me that she wouldn't be out of place in the club- she hasn't changed much in things she likes to do/etc. -she likes all the stuff she liked when she was in the club before- and it seems to me that there are probably going to be quite a few kids that are basically "her age" but maybe a month or two younger than her (therefore still 7). And she's little for her age too- so it's not like she'd be towering over 7yr olds... that's for sure. (ie: she's STILL wearing the same princess 2pc swimsuit she wore on the last cruise...... 2yrs ago...... size XS .... yesterday she wore some shorts she's had for years and I kid you not- they are SIZE 24MO SHORTS. Apparently she still has the same hiney size as a toddler? LOL)
What say you, pirates?
