OMG how does anyone use vistaprint to get magnets made?
It's making me so frustrated..... Lisa worked on images for me and STILL I can't get them to work where the preview of it doesn't have part of the images cut off and/or doesn't have the image slighlty burry.
arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I was looking at that site to make postcards but every time I found a photo that I wanted to upload it didn't look right on their site on the preview. I gave up and will be purchasing the postacards at the beach this weekend, plenty of souvenir shops there

ATTENTION PIRATES!!!
I'm not Cheryl, but I can play her on the thread.

Do you want to have a big group picture of all 400-and-some-odd of us??
In addition to Todd's Flying Dutchman CC picture, that is. I'm thinking between dinner seatings or sometime during the afternoon on a sea day. Maybe PC day, while everyone is in "uniform".

If we want to do this, someone needs to volunteer to contact Shutters and organize it ASAP so we all know when and where to show up.

Any takers??

It's no the Black Pearl, it's the Flying Dutchman.:)

I always bring Gold Canyon (Candles) car air freshener. It's on a cardboard card that you peel back the plastic on, to release only as much fragrance at a time as you need.

We picked up a fragrance fan from Yankee Candle and have their Ocean Walk and Sun & Sand refills. We can put it on when where in the room and turn it off when we leave.

Chrissie,
if you have a few minutes, look for a book titeled "Who Moved My Cheese" . I was out with a on-duty spinal injury that almost cost me my abilty to walk, and I was more conerned about not being able to go back to work. I know my priorities were a little twisted. But, with a lot of PT and the huge support of my DW, I was able to make it back to work full-duty.
But I learned a very valuable lesson. actually 2 lessons. Family First, no matter what, and Work to live, Not Live to Work
best wishes,

I can just throw in it is a very easy read. I forgot I was supposed to read it for work amd started reading it on my way in to work while DH drove and finished it before I got there 40 ins later. It is a good book.

No dear, I'm sorry for the confusion. My son is only 10. I was saying that the way it USED to be- she'd have been in the lab but in the 8-9 age group and he would have been with the 10-12 age group. But now it's 8-10 together in an age group so now they will be together..... when we booked the cruise we didn't think those two would be together in the same age group. LOL

BUT the way it was PREVIOUSLY your 8yr old and 12yr old would have been together quite often. Becuase last time we went my son was 8 and my eldest daughter was 12 and often they were doing things at the same time/same place even though they were in different age groups of the lab. But not now... now the 12yr olds are in OC.
Sorry! :(

Gotcha! Oh well w/ the great emails she is getting w/ encouragement :thumbsup2 I am sure she will be fine. Actually the only reason I want them to even go to the kids club is I think they will enjoy it, a little time at adult pool for me, and a couple of drink tastings. Otherwise, I like them with me.

Just got online and got our flight information. We don't arrive in LA until noon. I am a little worried. :scared1: We only have 40 minutes to catch a connecting flight in DFW.:confused3 Fortunately we are fairly familar with DFW as that is where my inlaws live. So I am sure we won't be seeing anyone in the terminal and hope to make the Sail Away meet. So keep your fingers crossed for us to make all the connections and get on the ship before it sails.:scared: I was hoping letting DCL make the arrangements would make it easier.

Good luck Terri!

Very cute. Mets fans here, but don't get into baseball as much as football. Love football, and we are definitely (yes I'll admit it) J-E-T-S fans here. Season ticket holders.

Debi

I have not had a chance to catch up, but had to comment.
Yor are not alone:goodvibes
My DH is a big Met fan and Jet fan too:banana:
More baseball than football though.
DD11 has become a big Met fan too

and DS14 and I kinda go all for the ride;)
We intend to bring a met flag to wave on PC day:cheer2:
:woohoo:

My kids don't spend much time at the kids club either. They look at the navigator each day and decide if there are any activities they want to do and just go for those. In the past they have liked the evening activities the most and most of the day they are with us at the pool

Lisa, it is only about a 5 min walk from Fantasmic to the castle but crowds start gathering for the fireworks 1-2 hours ahead of time. So by the time Fantasmic is over it is impossible to get a good spot for the fireworks.

What about the other order though? If we do the 9:25 fireworks first then go to Fantasmic at 10. I cannot visualize the set up for the DL Fantasmic but it sounds nothing like the WDW one as far as viewing.

You will be able to see some of the fireworks from the Fantasmic area..however...if you watch the fireworks from the hub (the best place) it will be difficult to get to Fantasmic and find a place to sit and watch...just my opinion.

Thanks. :) Is there standing room there? I am going to go out and get a DL book later today. I didn't think that we would need one but the more I read on the boards the more it sounds like we will need one.

I am leaving for my job now but thought I could respond to a few posts!!!!

Pirate Roll Call/ FE Exchange Map and Directory

I'm compiling the list for the Pirate Roll Call and FE Exchange map/list.

I'm only listing the pirate families who posted on the roll call thread on the Pirate Zone, or gave their info to Julie (bellelinus) to be listed as part of the FE Exchange.

If you haven't signed up yet and would like to, please head over to this thread on the Pirate Zone to sign up for the roster. Also, if you got your cabin assignment but I still have you listed as GTY, can you please post your cabin number over there too.

If you signed up with Julie for the FE exchange, I'll be combining that info when she posts her final list.

Here is the list of everybody who signed up over on the Pirate Zone. Please check it out and make sure it's accurate. I apologize for any mistakes. If I need to make any changes, please send me a PM and I'll fix it.

I have some numbers for you!!! E-mail me to remind me!!

Well that is sure sweet of you!
And I have a lot more smiles than I have dollars. LOL

I will check out that post too.
Hey this gets better and better....... leaving at 9am vs the excursion at 7:45am? this nightowl/insomniac is all for that..... even though it involves walking! LOL

This is about $3.00 in Pesos per person.:thumbsup2

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Thank you so much, I just ordered one for him. I really thought the 790 was a great value and would have been a great camera but you know 15 year olds, they know everything and since he was buying it himself there was no talking him out of it.

It would be great to see some of your underwater pics and compare them with DSs. Maybe an informal photo sharing day, we are bringing our laptop if you are interested.

Michelle

That would be great! One of the sea days between Aruba and CC.

Dang that's still $30 each...... I know that doesn't sound like a lot but when you times it by 5 it's $150 to walk around a museum
do you think that student id means ANYWHERE or only students in Acapulco? LOL
But shoot.... only my oldest has a student id. They don't do that for elementary here. But that would atleast save me $30 LOL

nevermind- now I see it's 30 pesos! Okay that clinches it- we're ditching the cliff divers excursion and walking to the fort! LOL

I quoted wrong post. It is $3.00 dollars per person because the $30.00 is given in Pesos.

I think someone else said it, but if you find a place on Main Street close to the entrance to Frontierland, and then book it when fireworks are over, you should be able to get in. You mentioned trying to get the priority seating for Fantasmic. If you do that, you should have no problem getting a seat since you're guaranteed. Good luck! popcorn::

I decided that it isn't worth the almost $200 just to see the show and sit down.

Bring some for me too, please! Last cruise we took (March 2007) we invited my Mom to go with us. Little did we know at the time that she would pass away in October. It was the next to the last time we would see her alive. This will be bittersweet.
Piratefamily.JPG

What wonderful memories but I understand that it will be difficult for you at times this cruise. Hopefully you will be able to overcome that and enjoy it while still remembering your mom since it is a longer cruise. :grouphug: She looks so cute/sweet dressed up for pirate night with all of you.

Ugh!
I'm so not having luck with magnets for the door!
first the magnet stuff I bought at the dollar store had to be returned because when I took the backing off it wasn't sticky at all!
Then I spent hours making magnets on zazzle.com and they cancelled my magnet order because it had Disney stuff on some of the magnets. (and they said they had to cancel the entire order- not just the ones that violated their policy on that)

So then I have had others on this board help me, got designs off this thread, Lisa made me some, found my laminator machine in the attic, bought laminating stuff today and magnet tape from Staples, printed them out, laminated them (not all of them- just a few so far) and THE DARN MAGNET TAPE WON'T STICK TO THE LAMINATED PICTURES!
It sticks "sorta" but it wouldn't take much for the laminated signs to fall right off and I'd end up with a door full of pieces of magnets (only) all over it. with door magnets on the floor of the hallway?

sigh.
How are people getting this magnetic tape to stick? *sigh sigh sigh*
someone doesn't want me to have door magnets!

SUPER GLUE!!!

You're right- we do know our kids well don't we? LOL
My eldest was 12.5 on the last cruise and had a tee-total BLAST in the lab last time. She's a wee bit imature for her age though (and might I add- also ADHD so that's one reason she'd rather be on the go doing things rather than just "hanging out". yanno?)
when I'd told her it was 11-14 (cause I thought it was!) she was all excited about actually having activities, asking me if they'd still do things like they did last time even though they were located in the OC this time, etc. I haven't told her (yet) that I've since found out it's only up to age 13 because I didn't want to disappoint her and just see if they'd allow her to go in that age group.. and then if not, well..... we'd have no choice then would we? (but I have a feeling I'd end up with a "ruby" attached to my hip the entire cruise.... wanting to DO STUFF. LOL)
We are in the same situation with our DD14, (even down to the ADHD and imature!) She sort of thinks she would like it in the stack, but isn't really sure. But then she knows she also enjoys the activities in the younger group. I'm thinking that she thinks it would just be "cool" to hang out in the Stack. I really can't see her having many conversations with the older teens unless they like Twilight, HP, Jonas Bros., Etc! I don't want to push her towards OQ and have her mad at us the whole cruise because we "forced" her there, but I'm thinking she'll be happier there.
