Georgiana and Melody

Thats not so bad there, its a nice location, easy access to Topsiders but you have staterooms above and below so no noise issues, Starboard should have the Panama viwing gallery and Panama railway to view as we go through the canal. In a lot of ports they use the AFT doors to allow you to embark and disembark, so easy access for that as well.

The one thing I do like about it is the noise issue -- or lack thereof. Being there is better than being above or below a club or dining room or such, especially since I am, in no way, a night person.

Well, looking forward to meeting you, Andrew, and the others on this thread.

Later.

Mike looking forward to meeting you and all the repo cruisers, YES, that location looks good for low noise, less traffic through there, you would only walk through that part if you have a cabin there, and nothing that makes noise above or below, Always look on the bright side, is good!

I updated you for our lanyards..thanks!

Congrats and welcome out of the lifeboat! We stayed in 5122 last time and loved the area - very quiet!

Oh, thank you so much for this info!

HoJo Rates...did you guys get a group rate?? Or did you just book early enough to get really good rates??

PM me please!!

Thanks

We booked with the Entertainment book rate back in August; I am not sure they would have any of those left, but it would not hurt to ask!

Well, then I guess you'll miss Cheryl, Diane & Laura dancing on the tables in Rockin' D.

Yes that is good for your requirements, I like Midship to aft, as its easy acess to Topsiders fro breakfast, the pools, the soda station for a late night drink, and Goofys and Plutos.

Gone back to PORT for this cruise , last three cruises was Starboard, I requesed this as I did S/Board last time for Panama.

Okay question.....
is 6030 starboard or port side?
And WHICH side is the side that they take the pictures?

Still have 15 pages to ketchcup, but now have a cabin 5005 which seems to be a sideways cat11. CAn some-one repost the who I'm supposed to tell post & I'll get to it in the morning & let all relevant parties share my joyous news.

I may miss the personal experience, but I am SURE that I will hear about it the next day -- either by word of mouth or by veranda confessions. :lmao:

And then, there are always the pictures! :rolleyes1

Well we're out of the lifeboats as well. But now I'm worried... Room number 2021... DH wears earplugs and sleeps under a pillow and still wakes when the dogs pad across the carpet at night (even with a fan running)... And the 18mo old isn't much better... How bad is it really??

From the WDWinfo.com site:

Notes: The room was conveniently located one deck above the departure door when going off the boat. There was a lot of noise behind the wall, until about midnight, sounded like a door constantly opening and closing. The room and batrooms are smaller than the other categories. Had a plumbing issue, but it was quickly resolved.

Notes: This is a cat. 12 room so the price cheaper. It is located next to service elevators and service closets. Noise was happening all night. Was hard to get to sleep. You get what you pay for. But we were bringing the Magic home from the Med.

Notes: Room itself was fine. The noise level is awful. Doors slamming all night. Would not recommend to any light sleepers. The location was great near the stairs & elevator Missed the second bathroom..

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

The other cat12 rooms don't have as negative things said about them... I don't even want to tell DH that we have a room assignment. :sad2:

PORT side (bow/front) near forward elevators, -and they take pictures on both sides in the PC, JUST 'Wave'

Oh man I really thought we were starboard!
And I thought I read that they only do the pictures/waving/etc. on starboard side?

We are also out of the lifeboats as well. :cool1: :cool1:

It feels more real now than it did 5 minutes ago.

We are in 6054. I will go up-date the Pirate website. Unfortunately right now I am in a hotel and the internet access is TERRIBLE!!

Howdy neighbor....I'm in a sideway 11 a few doors down 5013, requested it specifically because I've heard good things about these

Can we just slide pictures under your door as a form of confession??

HMMM, we're a family of 4. We have never stayed in a 12, so the only advice I can offer is run 'em ragged during the day so they sleep at night!

Seriously, maybe a travel-size white noise machine?? I personally can't stand them, but a white noise machine is how my FIL worked & slept in cop shifts for 30 years. DH grew up in a 1000-ish sq. foot house, so every little noise is really loud all over that house!
