Just got off the phone with a potential employer. I just submitted for the job yesterday. Not sure if my resume stood out that much, or they just haven't gotten many applicants. Doesn't really matter to me either way.

The conversation was just a screening type interview but she's going to forward my information to the hiring manager and try to schedule a phone interview for tomorrow.

Prayers to whomever you pray to, all the pixie dust you can spare, and crossing all your crossables would be appreciated.

Checked today & we're still gty. My TA joked to DCL about us being in lifeboats & she agreed that we could have an upgrade to a mattress on the floor in fliunders!!!!!

Psst.....

The last ones to be assigned are more likly to be upgrades, So you can sleep in Topsiders or Palo! and upgrade from mattress to a pull out bed.

You know, there are some rooms in the spa area that would be quite satisfactory. Comfortable beds. Nice atmosphere. Great views. Resident masseuse......

Perhaps the captain's quarters? After all, he should be on the bridge the entire cruise anyway, watching for stray rum bottles from the never-ending hospitality room!

I feel accomplished..went thru my stacks of GS patches (I get extras) and I have a bunch for the exchange..I even found some from our area's Camporee that my DD patch won the contest.

Do we know yet how many patches we will need? (Everything is becoming a blur)

To everybody else looking for Palo ressies, I would keep checking over the next few days. Hopefully something will show up as they fill the private dining room.

I know of three that will be available.

Not as exciting as Cheryl's news but... I showed DD these a couple of months back..thought they would be fun for deck parties.. unfortunately they were between $2-3 each..so I told her I would get her 2 only..looked on Ebay..won 24for just over 6.00 .. figured she could hand some out to her new friends...

Looks like they are doing the private dining assignments now. I was able to snag an 8pm on Wednesday (Puerto Vallarta). The timing couldn't be better, as that is the only day we're on an excursion that comes back late (5:45) and this gives us time to rest and clean up.

They had an 8pm on Friday (Acapulco) available as well.

Congrats!!! Isn't it exciting?!?!? We are in there 8/21 for brunch and 8/24 for dinner.

I think you got my original request!!! I picked a Thursday 8/21...because it was not the first Sea Day. I think I was just to excited from the e-mail on what day I first requested( I really wanted a Saturday but thought no chance).Whatever day does not really matter!!!!! I am just lucky to have one and be with good friends(well at least some of them. Wish there was room for lots more)!!

There was a discount rate..you just call and tell them you are with the Cruise group and they gave the discount...
It was a percentage off the rack rate at the time of booking

Wristbands​

The wristband order should be arriving on Friday or Saturday. I will start to PM those of you who have indicated that you want them sent to you before the cruise, with my addy amount of order and postage. Please be patient, as this will take me a while. If you changed your mind and want them mailed to you, let me know.

The cost of the wristbands is 50 cents each. If you missed ordering them before I will have extras available!

Tom, I know you had responded to a post from a week or so ago about Eagle Scouts. I'm currently trying to hire someone and have received 5 resumes this week from individuals with Eagle Scout on their resume!! Out of 10 resumes (they are filtered by HR first), 5 are Eagle scouts. Impressive.
