FE GIFTS: Just put in order for ours today. Good thing turn around time for them isn't more than 2-3 weeks.

The way I figure it as long as the order gets here before we leave I can detail the FE gifts on the ride to the airport (2.5 hours), on the plane (from NC) or at night at the hotel in CA (arriving 8/12). :)

A BIG THANKS to Monica, Laurie, and Tracy!!!!

Ditto!!! :worship: :worship: :worship:

Do you think we know each other after 40 years???? Nope!!!:rotfl:

We sure don't at 20, so I guess I should just give up all hope??? ;)

Are you crazy! Just kidding! Hope you had a great time!

Yes apparently I am! ;) I thought WDW during the Holidays was bad! This was worse & not nearly as fun! Never again! :sad2:

Hope your ear is ok!?

Thank you! :guilty:

Hmmmm....that's a thought. I have him convinced that we need to be at the Port by noon, I think. I'm not sure how I'd explain the 400 people on board that want to celebrate with us when they don't know us. The look on his face would be priceless! :):rotfl:

We should all have buttons/stickers saying I know the bride. :) Last cruise a bride to be posted with the somewhat large group...not quite this big but 250+ people total. Her fiance wasn't quite sure what to think at the terminal. She had arranged for us to be on decks 8 and 9 overlooking secret deck7 for the ceremony to take pictures and blow bubbles afterwards. When the weather turned a bit rainy and the ceremony was moved indoors she arranged for all of us to be in the room with them...can't remember the name of it (not RNBD, not diversions, not preludes). Anyhow, one of the DISers is a professional photographer and his wife took pictures of her getting ready since the DCL photog didn't go in the room with her to get dressed. We blew bubbles as she walked down the aisle and cheered for her. Their families were so kind to be sure to include us all and passed out cake and champaign to toast the lovely couple. The only bad thing about the whole experience is that DD went with me and now she thinks that she needs to get married on the Mickey ship too. :bride:

Glad that the Kit movie is good. :) With AB I figured that it would be. She is a cutie. I am upset that we have to drive over an hour to get to the closest theater showing it though. DD and I had planned to go opening day with a few of her friends. Once it comes out on DVD it will join the other three movies that are viewed regularly here.

$.75 x 2 or 3 stops? Its about $3 total. Cash or Florida EZpass thing (not national EZpass). They have exact change, change/receipt and EZpass lanes.

I don't remember how much the tolls are on the Beachline (528) but, if you choose to use the 417 you will get on from the Beachline (Beeline) around the airport. I just checked my sun pass account and the last time we used the 417 from Disney to the airport there were two $1 tolls and one 75 cent toll. I'm not sure if entering from the Beachline if there is one additional toll. The road has a lot of tolls but it is so much less stressful. The last cruise we left the port and used the Beachline then the 417 and it took us less than an hour to get to WDW. The only problem on the 417 is that at the exits the toll booths are unmanned -- so it is either pass or exact change. Make sure you have quarters. I think the last toll exiting at Disney is either 50 or 75 cents.

This may sound confusing if you have any other questions you can PM me. Right now I'm not at home but after 7/26 I will be and can ask DH since he is usually the one driving.

That's pretty cool! I'm not that imaginative...or I should say I don't have the kind of time right now! I'm busy planning and coordinating our wedding here and now our packing lists too! :) That was the one good thing about "not knowing" about our honeymoon - I didn't have to help pack and plan! I'm sure you'll pick us out of the crowd though - my bridesmaids got me a white wide-brimmed hat and attached a veil to it. I'm not taking the veil off until we get on board. When else can you walk around with a veil attached to your hat!?! :)

Starting my packing today so I'm off. TTFN

I wish I could say the same. I won't even be home until 7/26 and then I'll have DD and two grandkids there. They don't leave until 8/14. So I won't even get started until the day before we fly out. I hope good lists will make up for lack of time.

I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has been working so hard on planning the extra things for this cruise. You have all put in a lot of time and effort and my family truly appreciates it. All of the extras just help to make the trip that much more special. Please accept a big thank you on behalf of all of my family.

Would anyone like to volunteer to make a list of the "open house" Verandah's for canal day? Hopefully, M & I can squeeze this info into the Pirate Navigator if someone can put together a list for us...

It sounds like the "if the door is open, stop on in" version is the most popular.

Wonder where I can buy a door stop to keep the door open ....

Pamela

Last cruise DD found the large door stops at Staples. We used then to keep the door open between our cabins so that little fingers didn't get crushed. She said she had to ask for them because they were hard to find.

Name Tags
Do you want one?
Here is what you need to do!

PM me with your name/dis name and fav character (optional).

Also the names of those in your party that you wish to have a tag....
(if they have Dis name or fav character you can provide that too!)
and how you would like them to be referred to on your tag....
(you can leave blank if you wish!)

If you can add your stateroom number so I can have them in order that would be great (and if I miss you some how I can deliver to your room!)

If my PM box is full please be patient I will do my best to empty every day!

Thank you!:wizard:

:rotfl2: Could you even imagine if he told her it was a different one?

You do realized that not associating with weird people is going to be difficult with this group, don't you?

And the 400 'stangers' who know your name.
Well there's "weird" and then there's shaking your head and rolling your eyes "weird"! He falls into the 2nd category! I've stuck with him for 29 years (24 married), I guess I can manage 15 days!
She's going to have a little explaining to do on how so many people know so much about her!

I've seen frequent tips to bring bungee cords or rope to keep the doors to connecting rooms open. Not sure why, because we took that advice on the last cruise and the room steward just gave us door stops that worked quite well. When I've responded to these tips on the main board, I've been told that door stops weren't always available or didn't work properly.

What has been your experience with keeping doors to the connecting rooms open? Bring your own door stops/bungee cords or depend on Disney?

We had connecting rooms on the 2005 EB repo and the room steward gave us door stops without us even asking and they worked great. We had bungee cords but never used them.

Keep it on all day! Be sure to wear it to dinner too. :) That is the only (hopefully) time you are able to get that much attention and I vote for letting the moment last as long as possible. :)

Just say something like, 'boy, aren't all these people on the Magic friendly? I sure hope we get to know three or four hundred of them!' :rotfl2:

That sounds so wonderful!
Well DD is young enough that she can start saving now! By the time she is old enough to get married, she should have enough money!

You do too!

I have your info as well as JILL and ERIN!

You guys are prompt!

Chrissie

Thanks Chrissie! this cruise is going to be so special!

I am taking a new approach these last 38 days at work. I had a very relaxing week off and read a "great" article in the Continental Magazine about being over worked and how Supervisors/Managers become uneffective and performance is ranked poor by employees. This really hit home and I can put myself right in that article for the last 2 years. I do now have a team lead to assist me on a daily basis - but her 1st job is to train 2 new employees. I have to hire 2 more positions as well. Starting tomorrow morning at 8 am I will be taking my "breaks" and my lunch away from my desk. more than likely I will be taking my laptop to work to organize us for the cruise. Create more magnets and once my FE gifts come in - assemble.

Have a great week everyone!

I like your way of thinking! LOL! DH and I were 30 when we got married and paid for everything...didn't have to listen to other opinions that way. ;)

We're booked for Palo that first night, so I'll have to make sure it goes with the outfit! :)
