So IF we had an average of 3 per cabin - than this subset off our thread represents a mere 330 souls? That's just 10% of the "FULL CAPACITY" of the Magic.... 3325. Gee.... I thought we would have had MORE folks involved, really?

Sme of our people chose not to participate in the FE gifts. There better not be 3325 soles on board. That would a little too full and not enough Mickey Bars.

I plan to ask our cabin steward to take care of the room early that day. Personally, I volunteered our cabin because of the time. I wouldn't want to do this any later.

The sun and the swimming pool would be calling me later!!

I would say start with the lowest deck and keep working our way up . . . yes, it means walking up stairs or waiting for the elevator, but then you are going up in category as you keep touring. But I am fine with whatever you decide!

By the way, anyone who plans on using their cell phone or even having the option to use it for an emergency, remember to check that your international roaming is turned on. For my plan on t-mobile, doing that doesn't cost anything extra, you only pay if and when you make the international call, so I have left it on since the Med last year.

I kept mine on since my trip from 2005. I guess you never know when you need it but thanks for reminding us all.

Actually there is a special dispensation... gluttony doesn't count if it's committed on a DCL cruise as I'm sure you recall from the following section on the DCL FAQ:

I was reading the "Pirate Roll Call and Directory" thread on TPZ yesterday to copy down all families that had a DD8 so that our own DD8 could see how many other girls her age would be along with us. I noticed that many families have posted, but some have not specified the ages of their children. I would like to encourage everyone to do so, since those children who are looking for a friend near their own age might never hook up with someone whose age is not listed here. Thank you.

Also, there is a kids page on the PirateZone website that has the parents DIS name broken out by kids ages if they want to e-mail ahead of time.

DD will turn 8 on 9/4 so will be seeing your DD in the lab too.

I have an 8 year old dd as well. It looks like our little girls will have no shortage of playmates onboard. There are so many that fall in the 7-9 year old range.

Twenty-five years a priest and I never came across that rule before. I'll run it by the bishop tomorrow just to make sure I know what I'm talking about when I come on board.

And to think I could have relied on that dispensation instead of spending years learning the blessing that took the calories out of the desserts!

Morning I feel like I am so behind. It has been non stop at work since we got back. It is fun seeing the changes going on inside the store, but also aggravating as I wish they were finished. To me it seems that nothing is on schedule. I am planning for July 21st -Aug 3rd to have a two week 6 year anniversary.

Happy birthday, anniversary to all I have missed and extra to all that need them.

The "full" capacity of passengers is only 2,400 or so. The 3,325 is number of beds, but that would assume every 4 bed had 4 people, every 3 had 3, etc.

The 3,325 would also require splitting of dining tables, etc. to max out

Now I feel spoiled. There are two Disney stores within 15 minutes of here and it seems both will remain open (Oakridge Mall and Valley Faire Mall). I guess they must both be profitable (hard to imagine rents being low at either location).

Those are now my closest too (I'm in Santa Cruz), but work in Menlo Park. Guess I'll have to take a detour on the way home this week

A friend of mine spilled the beans that we're going on a cruise for our HM, so I told my DFI. He's pretty mad that someone spilled the beans about the cruise. They didn't actually know it was DCL, so I still have to get that out of him. I'm working on it. Only 7 more weeks till our wedding and the TOAL! YAY!!! Doing a happy dance now!

I'm not a programmer either... I was thinking powerpoint or something! It looks like these are under control though! The completed one I saw looked great!

Looks like you got that off their website... I don't like to trust the hotel website, because of course they're going to put up the best room, which is never the one I get.

That's one benefit of spending a week in CA before the cruise that I didn't realize until later. We should be adjusted by the cruise so we won't miss out on the late night activities.

We have an 18mo DD! I don't think we're going to make the late night activities! We'll have to see how it goes though.

We had a busy weekend too! Saturday was spent doing some cleaning and putting window film in a couple of windows. So nice to finally feel like the inside of our house is private. We also did some energy saving film to hopefully keep the house cooler (we have no ac). Then yesterday we went on a 10mi hike that started and ended about 10 minutes from the house It was a neat hike... Got way too close to a bear and saw some squirrels and birds.

So far, this is only a very small number of the Pirates' cabins. There are still a lot of people who are GTY that aren't on here. I think the lines would make everything too hard to read. I can try it once we have more cabins filled in and see how it looks.

I have a DS16 that loves to program for fun. I emailed him the stuff you posted and I will see what he has to say. It is a hobby for him, so he might be able to make something cool just for fun.

Is our goal to be able to scroll over the ship and when your mouse hovers over the cabin, you would see info of the DIS occupant? Or did I recall that from months ago....???

I am still recovering from the time warp this weekend.

We have a DD8 too. She lives in the kids clubs. She makes friends really easily, but I don't think she's too overwhelming. If they meet up, she may talk your DD into going.

On one of cruises, Linda and I took Zack to see the Chronicles of Narnia (Nick was asleep in Pop-pop's cabin), and Hailey chose to stay at the Club. I got paged right at the end of the movie to go get her because the Club was closing for the night. I expected to find her sleeping in front of the movie screen. Nope...there she was, the only kid left, sitting in the entrance/exit desk, chit chatting with the counselors.

YAY!
