Thanks so much for doing this, Desiree -- do we know where we are starting or will we get that info closer to time?

I figured I would put together the cabin numbers and we would just go how they were on the deck..or we can go highest to lowest or lowest to highest..I just thought they may lead to excess walking...

What does everyone think?

I know..but unfortunately..any later that day and I will be getting ready for my VR....maybe those donating can ask their room attendant if they can make thier room up first or earlier. Any later in the cruise and there will really be stuff all over...we will ignore dirty towels and unmade beds...promise!

You know, we have talked to our hosts in the past and they say that they wish they could get to all the rooms earlier to get their work done. I doubt that would be a problem and if you asked they could probably prepare a towel animal or two. :)

Mike I don't envy your job. I did that for our last cruise and we had a total of 250 people. It looks great! A simple spreadsheet would probably work. LMK if I could help you with that.

Here is what I was thinking for the FE list and map. Here is Deck 6, with the cabins that are assigned so far:

Deck6FEList.jpg

I'm just trying to figure out a good way to list the cabins with all of the info from Julie's list.

Let me know if you like it, and if you guys want me to, I'll do up all of the decks.

:thumbsup2 Looks good to me!

ETA - I saw the one with the name/room numbers and it looks great! Thanks so much for doing it!

Thanks for the offer. I'll let you know if I get stuck.

Actually, Julie has the harder job of tracking everything. I'm just cutting and pasting from her list.

I just wanted to post who I had listed as going on the Cabin Tour - as a reminder - it will be the 18th (first sea day) at 11:00 AM. If you would like to join us..please send me a PM.

So are you planning to storm the Roy suite as a group to end the tour? ;)

Re-reading my post..I wanted to clarify something...I did not mean to make it sound as tho the cabin tour was all about me...and that my VR should make the rest of everyone unhappy with the tour...it was simply a time that I chose awhile back. If everyone would like it later in the day...please let me know...

Sometimes...I post and it comes across different then I mean it to...I really do not mean to offend anyone - this is everyone's cruise and I want you to be happy :goodvibes

I was gonna knock and see if they let us in...:rotfl2: really..can you turn this group away???

LOL! :lmao: That's what I was thinking. :) Seriously though, regarding the tour set up, since you are organizing it just do what works for you. Some will be able to go and some won't. Don't sweat it. :) You can't please everyone all of the time. I really do think that the hosts will help out by cleaning those staterooms first if they are talked to the day we board. Most people will be sleeping in so that shouldn't be a problem. :)

That looks great!! Thank you all for making this as easy as possible to deliver gifts!

Anybody going to SeaWorld prior to or after the cruise? I picked up some $10 off coupons at McD's today, just in case anybody needed any.

I just called Yellow Cabs in San Pedro and a really nice guy said we could call for a cab, no problem. He actually said at first to check with the hotel as a lot had free shuttles. I thought that was nice.
When I explained that we wanted to get to the port quicker than the shuttle he said "Sure, just give us a call and we would be happy to take you from from the hotel to the port".
So.... maybe that will be an option after all. :thumbsup2

Coral

ETA- Just say Stace's earlier post so I guess a cab it will be.
Thanks so much Coral:thumbsup2 I was hoping a cab would be available.

Thanks for that, Coral. At least now I won't have to worry if we don't check in until later.

One thing I do want to point out....but then I should put it on the Pirate Zone.....for those of us planning dinner at the port....the Doubletree has really, really good food. And the price wasn't bad. I LOVED their outdoor patio, and there's room enough for all of us.
If we ate there, the people without cars wouldn't have to worry about transportation to dinner.
Since we are coming from the East Coast my family would do better with an early dinner at the DT as we will probably hit the sack early and get up early. Our flight does get in around 10:30 am so we will be up for exploring in the afternoon. Hanging out at the patio sounds ideal:thumbsup2

I am joining you for dinner on Saturday night and the hotel sounds just fine with me...not that it is much help but if someone needs to run an errand that evening..my van will fit a few additional.
We were hoping to get a case of water to bring on board. If you can fit me in that would be great:woohoo:

Don't worry, it did not remotely sound like that. Whatever time sounds good to me!

Do you want me to pick you up at the Marriott and bring you to dinner?

That is so kind of you to offer Desiree!!! Roger has offered!!! Maybe who ever lives closer to the Marriott!!!:yay: I feel like I am going to a sneak preview just like my job!!:cool1:

Here is your hotel and room (well..I don't know if this is ACTUALLY your room..but a room...)

Marina Bar & Grill

The Marina Grill is a great place to enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner in a casual oceanfront setting. Enjoy patio dining and drink in the sights and sounds of the beautiful Cabrillo Marina. The chef has created a menu of California cuisine with an Italian flair, taking full advantage of the local fresh seafood, fruits, and vegetables.

Looks very nice. We will leave it up to all you California peeps.:thumbsup2

I have t-mobile and had no problem using my phone on the Med and Med repo last summer, including way out at sea when I was clearly not near enough to land to get signal there, so I think t-mobile is fine with the ship's signal.

Do you realize we could have been having lots of conversations free on our cell phones!!:scared1: I have T-mobile too!!!

Just someone call to remind me where I am going to be and what time!!!:lmao:

Actually us east coasters will be up bright and early....

I plan to get some gym time in and then back to get a shower before the tour.

Currently at 187 Adults and 120 kids..plus one cute puppy! (Sorry..I forgot who provided this info earlier - but thank you!)

Do you realize we could have been having lots of conversations free on our cell phones!!:scared1: I have T-mobile too!!!

I don't have t-mobile...but I did informed DH today (he was the one who called twice while were chatting) that we chatted for..oh "awhile" :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

pirate: ing the wishes!

Wonderful . . . the next time Chris is on it, we all will be, too!

I keep getting conflicting info from them. I will have a quad phone by then and will just have to see whether or not it works.
I really want it to keep up with my DM and her health being 90 and all. So I am torn between texting DS everyday to check up on her and the dog for DH, or using the internet and talking to him thru AIM.I also can use my vonage thru the internet as well for free but have to spend the $ for using the wifi. It is very confusing to decide which is the least expensive. Well I am signing off for the night.

In the top picture, just to the left of the round ottoman-type seat was a nook with a horseshoe shaped sofa. That's where we sat with our bags and waited for the shuttle. The shot is taken upon entering the front door of the hotel.
The indoor restaurant seating goes from the first pillar on the far left (against the windows) over to where you can see the bar. It's not a very big area.
The second picture shows two people at the reception desk for the restaurant, the bar in the far upper left, and behind the two people is the indoor dining. There is a lot of seating area in the lobby that isn't shown in the pictures. I took my laptop down there to connect to their WiFi for a while. They have a small store that sells all sorts of things that we may forget. And Pepsi!! ;)
Golly, it feels like I was just there! :rotfl:

Love it

I spoke with the Cellular At Sea folk - unfortunately, none of the prepaid cel phone plans will work. So I'll probably end up bringing my Sprint phone.

I would not expect Vonage or Skype to work. The connection speed tends to be quite poor and it wouldn't surprise me if DCL blocks the necessary ports for those services.
