Thanks for the lyrics M!

I stole them and posted them over on the planning boards so I can find them later!:thumbsup2

My DS9 is dressing as 'hanging boy' from AWE.

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the colors high.
Heave ho,
thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

The king and his men
stole the queen from her bed
and bound her in her Bones.
The seas be ours
and by the powers
where we will we'll roam.

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the colors high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

Some men have died
and some are alive
and others sail on the sea
– with the keys to the cage...
and the Devil to pay
we lay to Fiddler's Green!

The bell has been raised
from it's watery grave...
Do you hear it's sepulchral tone?
We are a call to all,
pay head the squall
and turn your sail toward home!

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the colors high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

What do you mean "celebrity" invite?? How did you send it to them? Where did you find out about that?? That's so cool! Wish I had known!

Much like the DIS boards for all things Disney, there is a site for brides, grooms, or anyone related to weddings called TheKnot. I found out about "Celebrity Invites" on there. Basically, the idea is you send an actual invite to celebrities with a note that says you know they can't be there, but if they would send you a note or something, that would be great. Here's the note I sent and apparently it worked! :yay:

Hi Everyone.....

We've had crazy storms go through here for a couple of days now. I like not having to water the flowers. Takes me 35 minutes...I timed it.

I had an interview for daycare today that went very well. Looks like I have an infant coming for a few days a week come September, than full time in November.....luv those babies :lovestruc :lovestruc . I have another interview on Friday so hopefully in the Fall I will open up pretty much fulled up :thumbsup2

Going to ketchup...

:rotfl2: You sound like my kind of divers! I'm definitely a warm water diver. In fact, DS11's cert dives were the first time I've donned a wetsuit.

Uh. Have I invited you guys to join us (Sarangel) for a private dive/snorkle charter in Aruba? There's still space for a few more. They won't be deep dives as DS11 isn't allowed below 40-45 feet. And we'll have a few snorklers with us. You don't have to bring your own buddy - we can find you one!

Do you have more details? I may be interested.

I just looked people up online. For the Harry Potter one, I sent it to the kids c/o JK Rowling at the publisher's office in NY. I also sent ones to Minnie & Mickey, the President & Mrs. Bush, the CA Governator, and a b-ball player on the San Antonio Spurs. I just did a lot of looking on line for publicist addresses or direct fan mail, etc. It wasn't too hard. I can help you find info if you need it. Here are the addresses for Disney characters and for the Pres.

ATTENTION ATTENTION

If you are in Capt's dining , on Pirate night we are planning to meet at Shipwreck Cove (known as the Promenade Lounge to you land lubbers...lol ) right before dinner and then we can all march together into the dinning room ....As to create a Parade of Pirates ...( I promise no wardrobe malfunctions this time ..LOL ) I think this will kick off Pirate night like no other , bring your Pirate flags and hoist your colors .....Of course we will march into the dining room fashionably late to create a little ruckus amongst the crew that wasnt informed about Pirate night :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

So all you Scurvy Dogs , Wonderful Wenches and just plain ole rum soaked Pirates ......By the sweat of our brow and the strength of our backs and the courage in our hearts! What Say ye !! I say Aye .......... Savvy !!!!!!

Don't tempt me dear.... I will have an unfortunate trip up there pretty soon.

My DGM is nearing the end of her life. They gave her last rites on Saturday but the staff at the nursing home told my dsis it's just a matter or time. She is in her late 80's and unfortunately has had pretty bad alzheimers for the past 10 yrs. She doesn't know who she is and didn't know who my grandfather even was the last few years of his life either.... She was always so nice to my Dsis and i as kids so it has hurt me to not have her know who we are or who her Great grandkids are. :worried: She'll be a better place though at least.
 Alzheimers is such a horrible thing.

I had a "Disney Nightmare" last night which I thought I'd share. I dreamt that we were leaving earlier than scheduled, for some reason were weren't going in August but in fact our flight was leaving in 1.5 hours and I hadn't packed!

Either this trip is too long in coming and I desperately want it now (true) or my subconscious is telling me its time to get organised. How soon is too soon to start packing? :rotfl2:
I've decided I'm going to start putting stuff together in our downstairs bedroom. Now to just keep the DD's out of it.

I've been "gathering" my clothes for a year now!! :rotfl2:

Oh man how am I going to remember everything the Pirates have planned? Geez. I'm going to have to do an itenerary for us before we leave!
(

No need to worry! M & I will be putting together a Pirate Navigator with all the events/times/dates/locations and such.

Just a reminder to all who are leading various "taskforces" - please get the info on your event to M (or me, but it is probably easier to keep it all together) as soon as you have the date/time finalized. It would really help if some of the "Day to be determined" events started making decisions on when/where/what their plans are ::yes::

Ground Hog Alert.....I'm a few days behind :goodvibes

I am staying in WDW a week after the rest of my family....kids have to get back to school, DH to work, etc. Some friends will be meeting me at Pop after the TOAL, and I can't wait! :hyper:

Awww, nothing rounds out a 15 Day DCL Cruise like a solo trip to WDW :thumbsup2

Definitely agree! On the last PC cruise we had 8:30 and missed the start of the Tropical deck party, pirate night, dessert one night (gave up it was too late) and were late for many shows. Even told our server his tip would depend on getting us out to those events on time. With this rotation too I'll be in Lumiere's on my birthday and that's my favorite restaurant!

Same thing happened to us. We were late for all the night deck parties

Hmmmm, I wonder if this will fit on Deck 7 aft balcony :scratchin :scratchin

Double click on the picture :thumbsup2

DUH, thanks Arlene

I am thinking of purchasing a few items for myself - anyone have any luck in just purchasing a peasant skirt and blouse? if you have where did you find them? I cannot sew so that is out of the question.

Loooong day today... I finally made it back to the gym after 2 weeks off. While my parents were out of town, I couldn't stop on my way into work (had to get in on time and had a dog and DS9 with me) Today, I was able to drop DS9 off with my mother on my way to the gym and then she brought him into the office with her. I was only in the office about 1/2 hour this morning and then we all left (our poor secretary got stuck with dealing with everything today) and went to visit my grandmother. She lives about 60 miles West of us. My parents usually visit her every other week, but my father thought it would be nice for DS & I to come too. We took her out to lunch and showed her my parent's photos from their baltic cruise. Then we drove back to the office and spent about 45 minutes handling a few things that HAD to be dealt with today. DS9 and I had to stop at Lenscrafters on the way home to get his glasses straightened (yet again!) - he had a "collision" at his Electricity & Magnetism class yesterday (it had something to do with lunch and climbing a tree :confused3 ) DH had me check what it would cost to get a spare pair of glasses for him to take on TOAL - $120 :faint: :scared1: This trip just keeps getting more and more expensive :rotfl2: Since we were already at the mall, we stopped at Kohls and found some shorts for DS and hats to protect us from the sun in Panama (DH is on his own to find a hat!).

Funny, by the time we got home, I was exhausted! Yet another crazy, typical day in my life :lmao:

Pamela

Thanks pirates for thinking of us...

My Gram is still hanging in there..

You can say this...she always was a fiesty red-head (Irish too)

You are a sweetie!!

right back atcha :flower3:

It has been since before Xmas time that I regularly lurked / posted on the DIS. I have been keeing up by joining many of the chats.

I was sort of abstaining from DIS until I got my air to LAX settled... and will oil rising all winter... and my never pulling the trigger...it was looking like $300pp for the 4 of us.... It got to the point where my brother who works for UAL was going to try and get a friends and family thing to fly standby.

But today Virgin Atlantic had a sale $149pp. And I am all booked and ready to go!

SO I AM OFFICALLY BACK ON THE BOARDS!

Welcome Back, SIL

I'm working on getting unpacked and organized. Wanted to post a picture of the ship passing the Doubletree on its way in to port on Sunday morning. I thought those of us staying there would like it. It was 5:45 a.m.

Thanks, Stacey. Nice pitcure. DH will still be on East Coast time still, so I will definately have him wake me up for that.

Yep, Anaheim location has TVs in the bathrooms too.

Excellent :thumbsup2

Very eventful day today. Dad had surgery, was in and out before noon. Everything went okay. Only thing is he's going to be crankier than usual for a few days. I turned in all my stuff at work and got my final paycheck. Well, not final, I don't get my severance check until next month. Finally told DS about the job situation a few days ago but it finally hit him today when I was talking about my final day. He says I'm not allowed to work some junky job like McDonald's or Albertsons (sorry Todd, he got that from Dylan's job). With all that going on, I totally forgot about a Dr appt. Hope I can get us back in before my medical runs out.

A little late, Monica, but glad your Dad's surgery went well

We are very fortunate to have such a great bunch of PEEPS!!!

Great photos and costumes - can I ask what you search terms you used on ebay?

*Pirate costumes* *Peasant blouse* *costume skirt* -- the skirts I bought came in lots of different colors and could be used in all types of costumes....Colonial, Medival, etc...

We were on the 11nt (we wanted to say onboard and go again when we docked back at PC)

They let me sail Bones on St. Thomas (the Capt kept the rum for himself):

DD(5), now 7, we need to get her a new Pirate outfit:

Me & DD & Mickey before we knew about DIS:

Loved all you rpics!!! And that has to be the Dis group since I reconize some of them from this thread -- I see Crash's dw right off the bat! LOL!

well i went to the store yesterday and bought some fat man shorts.
i bought 36 inch waist. first time in my life i bought that big of pairs.
i wear 34 now and they are a little tight, if i dont lose the weight i want to before the cruise there is no way they are going to fit near the end of the cruise. so i went ahead and got them, incase i cant find them later on.

FAT MAN shorts!:scared1: I know I'm a little overweight right now, but.... Oh well, I have been exercising diligently & dieting and can now get back into my 34's! Although they're a little uncomfortable now, by August 12th they'll be comfortable again! At least I'll be out of my Fat Man shorts!:rotfl2:

You forgot the "OXYMORON" alert!

You do know a 36 ain't that big right... My DH is taller and not that thick and he wears a 36.

ITA!!

However, I was just working in the kitchen watching my two "home" town teams play ball -- Colorado at Kansas City! Fox Sports does their intro to the fifth inning and they show Gates BBQ (my favorite BBQ place anywhere!) in the background. How I wish Colorado had decent BBQ! Now I'm really craving BBQ which doesn't go with my diet at all!:(

If you have a prescription for the glasses you should be able to get replacement pairs here.
