DAY TWO: I don't think anyone has noticed the money missing from the office petty cash fund.

:lmao: Happy Anniversary Deanna & Rob! Also to Melissa & Todd, And Kim & DH!

We remind employees that anyone caught browsing DIS will be fired immediately.

The Management

So....think this applies to Disney Employees:confused3 Or can they classify it as company business?

Happy 10th Anniversary Todd and Melissa!!

Just do what the Dr. says. DH said it was a really bad pain in his calf and he has a really high threshold for pain. So now he has this umbrella looking filter in his vein to catch any clots.
Mar07_090.jpg

Well that is exactly where my pain is and it is really bad, I hope it isn't that, the veins are 'up', and again the same as me I try my best to avoid doctors, I have had enough of them, I was in so much pain I had to go there from work, but still felt wrong taking up the Doctors time, thinking others have more important cases than mine, so when he said your off to A&E, now it was a big surprise.

They are concerned with my blood condition that there is a clot on that location, I still think/hope its a bad ligament strain, from my walking.

The sudden occurance of this -Wednesday afternoon, for little reason at that time, didnt bang it or hurt myself is a concern, no warning just came on to great pain.

I agree, I'd rather be safe but before I leave for the TOAL, I'll be calling them ahead of time to let them know to expect lots of "out of area" charges.

We did this before our last cruise.

Actually I understand its the exact opposite for Disney and DCL staff, if they want to find out whats happening, new cruises, or new ports of call, they read these boards first and not the company intra-net.:rotfl2:

There wasnt a space in the DVT clinic for a scan until Monday the options are:-

1/ A bad ligament strain
2/ DVT

The GP (My local assigned doctor), Thinks its DVT, and wanted me to go straight to A&E, A&E think it might be a ligament strain, or torn ligament, but as I cannot have this confirmed to Monday, and I have a blood condition that has confused them in the past, they do not wish to take any risk.

So I am on a Daily injection ( every 24 hours) at A&E, till Monday, -will be full of holes by then, and then the scan will see.

In the meantime I must rest the leg, because of the possible Ligament issue, but also keep moving if DVT!!

I personally feel its ligament was surprised by all the fuss really, but the ligament will take about a Month to correct. I can walk on it, by its painful, but it wouldn't stop me on the holiday!

The Doctors are aware I have lost a lot of weight over the last 5 months and part of that is walking, so that is a possible cause, but also as I went by train within a month and sat for three hours, they cannot discount DVT.

Wow, you are getting accustomed to being shot full of holes for your health, aren't you? I remember your pain in the add . . . they are right to be cautious because of the potential risk from a thrombosis. Just do what they say, regardless . . . . you need your health in less than two months!

So the NY meet is Aug 3 at the Marriott Marquis? Has a time been settled?

Yes, August 3, although there was some talk of perhaps meeting for lunch (I had suggested John's pizzeria on W. 44 around 11:45 before the matinee rush) and then going for a chat at the Marriott . . . Jo is still finalizing things over at the pirate zone.

Sorry Julie ... I was trying to find Tina's name and came across your response to her and picked the wrong one . I'll definitely get the money to Tina...

Tina ... Thank you so much and sorry for the name slip!

It's fine with me . . . I just didn't want to take Tina's praise (or her money!).

Ever had ones of those days, felt a pain in my shin / calf mussel on Wednesday night, got worse on Thursday so went to my local GP (Doctor) today expecting a strain.

I might have pulled a ligament, and its very painful, but the GP referred me to A&E (Accident and emergency) Hospital and I had to have tests and will be having injections all weekend every 24 hours until Monday. The mussel might have come off part of the bone, and they are worried about the possibility of DVT, so being careful.

Seems I have done a bit more damage than I thought, so feet up all weekend,

I hope it feels better soon!!!

as soon as we get off this cruise we will have a couple of days until the booking for oasis starts. have to try to get some extra ot in. we will have the expense from this trip, all the little things that are not paid for yet that adds up to big $$$$. than the rebooking on board, than a couple days later oasis.yes i will be a trader again.

Have fun! We are thinking about trying an RCCl cruise -- since they cruise out of Galveston.

Make sure you charge enough to cover the difference for the extras you bought. You shouldn't absorb the unsold.

I agree!!

This is great of you to do this for us pirates. Sorry you had such a time with your credit card. I just ordered my rewards card today :cool1: and will add any extra points closer to the TOAL. This is the card in my name only. We have a joint credit card too, but after previous experience I keep at least one credit card and bank account in my name only. My Ex closed all the credit cards and took all the money out of our bank accounts when he left. He even had the lock to the safe deposit box drilled so I couldn't get to the passports, birth certificates, stock certificates, savings bonds, etc.:furious:
I am much wiser now.::yes::

 What is wrong with some people????? :confused3

I have the Sunshine Family still new,in the box!

:rotfl:

Yes I am used to being a pain in the butt. ( or having one) this time in the belly, twice today, and every day till monday, Tiger Woods is playing 18 holes on me on Monday.

Christopher, did you check to see if your credit card includes CDW/LDW insurance? I know some vans do not qualify but also check your car insurance policy as well, as I recently read a travel article that some do cover it.

Another credit card trivia - most credit cards that provide CDW/LDW insurance provide secondary insurance - i.e, they pay your deductable after your regular auto insurance. The one exception is Diners Club (now a mastercard) which provides primary rental insurance. It's a relatively expensive card, but for those who rent a lot, the insurance savings can pay for the card.

Good to know. As there is usually an average 3% charge. Visa and M/C do impose the 1% to all banks for currency conversion.Cap 1 must be eating the fees. I will use one of our cards if I buy anything in the ports as it is easier to deal with a merchant if something is not ok after you get home and you need to dispute something.

I don't know how they are doing it. But as far as I know it's the way all cards used to do it - they wouldn't actually exchange currency, they'd just do it with internal bookkeeping, since they had customers charging and paying in all sorts of currencies. As such, not only were there no fees - they had by far the best exchange rates (near wholesale).

I was floored last summer when I looked at my statements - the conversions were very close to the wholesale rates I saw in the papers.

Hi Julie

Please take me with you to John's or mail me a slice of Pizza...................:rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Ancestry and the other sites for checking on your family tree are used by those trying to get your info to use for example identity theft. They can find out mothers maiden name and a whole bunch of stuff you wouldn't want anyone delving into. Never thought of it that way before until they explained it to me.

Arlene, didn't think about that. But having done geneology, I would never provide information in pedigree charts with people who are still alive. Alot of chart that the LDS church have, do have living people on them, not good. Also did you know that you can google Social Security Death Index and it will give you name, place of death and SS# of that person. I think it is as recent as 5 yrs in the past. And that is a free database too! :scared1:

Make sure you charge enough to cover the difference for the extras you bought. You shouldn't absorb the unsold.

I agree. I would say just charge $.50 each so there isn't a lot of bother with change. I plan to give you $1 for two.

What a -----! My mom had a friend that told her she should keept her own account when she married my dad back in the 50's. Mom wised up in the 70's and did it!

I agree with the others. Just charge $.50 and cover the cost of the extras. I think it is safe to say no one will begrudge you the 14 cents and who wants to deal with the change anyway. Besides, you can use all those singles to pay the room service tips!

Thanks for coordinating the order for all of us. :)

You guys are great ! I hadn't thought about that. So if everyone is agreeable 50 cents apiece it is.

I already ordered and received my Disney Rewards card. Thinking that I will use some of my reward dollars to get 3-day park hoppers for DL!

Tiger's taking a break after winning the open . . . but I'm sure they will find someone else to play you:rotfl2:

Hi Julie

Please take me with you to John's or mail me a slice of Pizza...................:rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I would love to, Liz! It's my favorite pizza place . . . let me know when you are coming to NYC and we will definitely go to John's -- as you might know, there are three locations, Bleecker St. in GV, the Time Square/44th St one in the old church building, and one near Rockerfeller Univ/Sloane kettering on E 64th . . . you pick!

I've got to get ready for seeing Hamlet tonight at the Delacorte theater in Central Park . . . I love Shakespeare in the park and it's so beautiful at night as well. I'm taking all the girls and have to hope that the youngest (just turned 11) isn't scared by it (she was by Macbeth two summers ago but lucked out with Romeo and Juliet and Midsummer Night's Dream last year) . . .:)

Oh to have "good" NY pizza and Chinese food again would be worth the trip. The last time I had good pizza was when DH made it. That by the way is my Anniversary. Aug 3rd. So have a slice for us.

For all those planners who like seeing everything laid out in a spreadsheep, I just finished updating mine using the dining info recently posted (realizing that as in all things DCL, it could change!) and thought it might be helpful for others. Here is a link to the Excel version. I also put a copy into Google Docs for those who don't have Excel - this is my first attempt at sharing a Google Doc, so we'll see if this link works.

Feel free to copy/use/modify for your own use. If anyone knows of anything that is missing, let me know and I'll update it. I put events that were knew the date, but not the time, down at the bottom of each day. Events that don't even have a day yet, are on the far right of page 2.

Pamela

Looks very similar to the one Kevin made for me. I see you have a "Pirates Brunch" set up....do tell!
