For the DL veterans out there - how "must do" is Nemo? It sounds like it will eat up a lot of time (even first thing in the morning) and I'm wondering if it is really worth it. Although I would love to ride the subs again after all these years, I'm just not sure the nostalgia is worth waiting in line for the first hour we are at DL! I suspect that if we use that hour to hit Tomorrowland and Fantasyland that we can get a lot accomplished that will take hours to do later in the day...

Pamela
Pamela we waited for 9 months after it opened to go on it. It is fun but the wait time is still 60-90 mins. If you have early entry and just want to do that it would be OK, but otherwise never do it in the morning. Only do this ride in the evening, later the better.

I've never had mine shrink, but you can stretch them a bit. You need to get them warm (either a minute or two -no more - in the dryer or put them back out in the sun) then stretch the strap while it is warm and then wear the shoes until they are cool. I am between sizes for the basic Crocs - the 6 is a little big, but the kid's 5 is a little small - I have both and have used this method to stretch the 5's so they fit a little better.

Pamela

Nooo don't even go there.............:lmao:

Me too! I always take my rings off before hiking and swimming and housework and anything like that. Course the bad part is that I forget to put them back on....

I had to run back in the house today to put my rings on -- we (10ds, 6dd & myself) were on our way to exchange a video game we bought last night that was defective.... and while we were at Best Buy we found DDR for xBox 360 for 50% off!!!! We had originally wanted it for the Wii BUT, for 50% off we could play it on the 360! :cool1:

Well the strap on one shoe actually broke off and that's the shoe that shrunk worse. I'll just keep wearing them and maybe they'll stretch back out. Thanks!

Did you try emailing Crocs about the broken strap? I had one of the fastener things that hold the strap to the shoe break and they sent me a small baggy with 5 new ones for free.

As you can tell, I wear Crocs a LOT :thumbsup2 At the moment I have about 8 pairs of the regular "Beach" style, 1 pair of Niles, 1 pair of Cleo and 1 pair of Mamoths. I am eyeing the Adara and Sassari :rotfl2:

Pamela

I felt the same way - then I went on the Freedom of the Seas on a TA inaugural weekend, hey it was free, and I was really suprised at how manageable it was. The size has the benefit of not any one area being really crowded at any one time.

I too am a little leary on the size of the new Genesis class but you can bet I will be on it to at least tour it. ::yes::

That still sounds like alot of fun!

Hi everyone

Ok some actual questions..if we want to go to blue bayou is it a must to make a ressie?

For those who have done Nemo...how close are the quarters? Esp if you are NOT a tiny person???I can remember doing Leagues and being a bit uncomfortable because of the tight quarters (can get a little minor claustraphobic in really tight spots)

I was bummed I missed the MA meet..:-( I want to meet more people (in person!)

Did I miss the bracelet sign up/order?

Chrissie

We are a Crocs loving family! DD14 and DH not so much as DD9 and I, but they still wear them! I believe I have 4 pairs now! I live in mine! I hate wearing shoes, so this is a compromise.:thumbsup2

Do we know what the rotation is going to be for the late diners yet?

Anyone want to zip line on a ship ;)

http://oasisoftheseas.com/

Some of the attractions that will be available

Building an amusement boardwalk - including a Carousel, boardwalk games, two climbing walls and the first ever Zipline on a ship

Central Park feature with serene pathways and canopy trees, al fresco dining and shopping

The largest Promonade on any RCCL ship including a levitating Risiing Tide Bar transporting guests between three decks and enough shops, pubs and restaurants to entertain even the most traveled travelers

They will also have 2000 sq ft staterooms - Loft Staterooms with multi leveled suites with floor to ceiling windows.

Another first is inside rooms with balconies that will overlook some of these interior areas
A way to get a balcony or a room with a view without paying for a verandah ocean view room

Anyone up for a reunion in 2010 for another TOAL? :rotfl2:

Doesn't even look appealing to me. :confused3

ACTUAL CRUISE INFORMATION ALERT

Looks very cool:cool1: Gonna try one of these big ships soon. Hope DCL hasn't spoiled me though;)

ME ME ME!
I'll be back in town Sat. night, so Sunday is doable. Weekdays I can be found between Foggy Bottom Metro & Dupont Circle Metro.
I vote Sunday!
Sunday works for me:thumbsup2

Well, I guess I will not try that again. It was a waste of time. I realize I am too emotionally attached to their clothes. :rotfl: To sit there while they gave almost nothing for clothes that had basically only been worn once from Gymboree was riduclous. A $35.00 sweater that has been worn once was $1.50. No thanks!
I am going to give them to my neighbor since she has 3 girls and it would help them out.
I will just give the girls their spending money.
Yeah, I was a bit disappointed when we lugged a wooden changing table, a bassinet and a large bag of clothes to a second hand shop and got very little money back:confused3 It just wasn't worth the hassle:headache:
I usually go with the charity pick-ups (Purple Heart, Value Village, bunch of others) that will take the stuff from our doorstep. I tried saving for family, but nobody wanted used kid stuff:confused3

Can a non-travel agent get a tour of a cruise ship ? My Mom is deathly afraid of the water and would never agree to cruise, but if she could tour one ahead of time I might be able to convince her to try a 3 day cruise.

I know I am too emotionally attached to everything! LOL! I haven't been able to part with hardly any of Claire's clothes. :rotfl2: It's a sickness!
"Pack Rat Syndrome":lmao:
I couldn't part with things like their first denim jacket or the purple clogs that Kelly picked out for a special picture for her Dad's b-day. Took me forever to find an outfit to match those clogs. I just tell my self that I'm saving them for my grandkids:idea:
While my DMiL had saved some clothes and toys from DH's childhood, my DM had nothing saved:worried:
Now I'm the other extreme and save too much:rolleyes1

Yep I ordered ours a couple days ago and will transfer right before we leave! :cool1:

I am glad we're not the only ones that have to do Casey's every time! Many times multiple times :yay:

Yeah almost not worth it with whole wheat buns and apple slices! Ya know, it's great for Disney to give healthy options, but geez I'm on vacation! I want the junk food! I want fries with my Casey's dog on a white bun!

I hear ys sista! Vacations should be a vacation from our normal good habits too.

Oh I forgot to mention... My Crocs SHRANK. Geez you'd think they would make them so they wouldn't shrink.... Well maybe it's my fault for leaving them out in the sun, but still!

I thought I got a great deal on Crocs. I found them on Nordstrom online for half price. :cool1: Then I ordered the wrong size. :worried: I called Nordstrom and they do not carry them in the stores. :( Then I tried Academy Sports. When I called to find out the prices and sizes the girl told me that they had them and they were half off too. :cool1: So...we go up there and loe and behold- not on sale. But, the sales man checked w/ the manager and they offered them to me for half off!::yes:: So turns out all's well that ends well. Of course I had to buy myself some new crocs while I was there too.

Oh, I don't know. As I recall when you have formal night at Animators everyone shows up in white dinner jacket, and during the evening the waiters spill various colors of food on you until, by the end of the evening, everyone is a multicolored/multiflavored mix. Then they come around and spray everyone down with black liquid licorice so you can go out (dripping) to your formal photos.... :rolleyes1

Wow, I'll have to try that... But I threw out the strap last week:scared1:

Yes, make a ressie for Blue Bayou.

Nemo is the same except for 2 more seats.

My DMIL saved not only Kevin's and his 4 brothers things, she saved Her schoolwork!! Along with her prom dresses, recipes, magazines, theatre ticket stubs, matchbooks, menus, diaries, letters, etc. etc. etc. When she passed, we were able to fill 3 commercial sized dumptsers(the kind used at constuction sites) and the biggest UHaul that we could find,to clean out her house.
