I am trying to get caught up - but needed to post to request prayers for my family. I just got a call from my cousin - my 20 year old 2nd cousin was just killed tonight in a car accident. Don't have details beyond that, but everyone is in shock. She was a really smart girl who had many high level goals she wanted to achieve. Ironically her grandfather on her dad's side just passed away last week. Thanks in advance for the prayers.

We are in Yellowstone and had a wonderful day! Lots of wildlife and saw Old Faithful for the first time. We go back tomorrow to see more. I am absolutely exhausted! Have a great Thursday!

Dining rotation - as per a call from concierge
Repeating every 3 nights

5:30 and 8pm - LAP LAP, etc
5:45 and 8:15pm - APL APL, etc
6pm and 8:30pm - PLA PLA, etc

If you are in Cheryl's linked group, I believe we have asked for 8 PM, so LAPLAP etc.

thanks...for us it is more important to have the 8pm slot than what theme nights fall in each restuarant. Last cruise, we had 8:30 and it was MUCH too late, even for us night owls

All this talk about DL makes me sad. I am thrilled to be on the cruise, but I would LOVE to be able to also spend a few days at DL. I haven't been to DL since the 70's so I am sure a lot has changed. DH only has 18 days of vacation and we just used 6 to visit his family in TX. So that only leaves 12 and 10 of those are for the TOAL. So he will only have 2 days from Sept. 1 to the end of the year.

I, on the other hand, earn 6.77 hours every 2 weeks and have over 200 hours saved up. Maybe I should just go to DL without him. Hey, I just spent a week with his family didn't I? I was bored out of my gourd while he and his Dad worked on the car. Couldn't even DIS as I wasn't comfortable getting on their computer and they don't have wireless access for my laptop. Anybody have room for a tag along?

I guess I can't do this without him since it is our anniversary trip. He does come in ahead of Disney in my life. (just barely)

Terri, I have more time off than DH. We are going a week ahead of him and my thinking is...we have to fly to CA anyway, may as well make the most of it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it .

Not going to be able to keep up much here for the next several days. We began our parish festival tonight (Wednesday) and it will go through Sunday evening.

I'll try really hard to keep up with everybody, but only after I have a change to leave the "killing fields" of the property and try to relax. I'm spending my nights at the Hampton Inn which is just downroad from the parish.​

I hope to get back to normal chatter at the beginning of next week.​

By the way, at a quick read of the past several pages, there is a lot of sickness and injury and the like. When I'm not praying for good festival weather and safety for those who attend our fest, I am praying for those several people that are being spoken about recently. Prayer is always a good thing.

My DMIL saved not only Kevin's and his 4 brothers things,she saved Her schoolwork!! Along with her prom dresses,recipes,magazines,theatre ticket stubs,matchbooks,menus,diaries,letters,etc. etc. etc. When she passed, we were able to fill 3 commercial sized dumptsers(the kind used at constuction sites) and the biggest UHaul that we could find,to clean out her house.

Oh the things my grandmother had when she died too! She grew up during the depression and kept everything.

I completely agree...the theme nights are very secondary for me. I used to not feel that way, but I do now.

Definitely agree! On the last PC cruise we had 8:30 and missed the start of the Tropical deck party, pirate night, dessert one night (gave up it was too late) and were late for many shows. Even told our server his tip would depend on getting us out to those events on time. With this rotation too I'll be in Lumiere's on my birthday and that's my favorite restaurant!

Ugghhh, mornin' everyone. We stayed up way too late last night. We went up to Myrtle Beach to play putt-putt (aka mini golf) and then went to Margaritaville for dinner.

After a 3hr wait we were seated just as the house band started - they did a killer rendition of Jessica (about 8 mins worth) just as the cheeseburgers arrived
