I just received a couple of emails back from Dorothy, who is the DCL CM I had previously been in touch with:

Our Entertainment department has actually taken over for the mass arrangements onboard since it is going ship wide.
I have forwarded your Email to them and asked they respond to you since I am out of the loop on this now. Let me know if you don't hear from them in the next few days.

At this time, the schedule for the return crossing has not yet been determined. The Cruise Director & Assistant Cruise Director are still in the process of working out the details. They will handle booking the venues onboard.

I will be proving an itinerary to the priest, and times for the masses will be included in the daily Navigators as well.

So, Fr. Mike will probably hear something back from DCL before we sail. I am so pleased to hear that it will also be posted in the Navigator, so just be sure to check once onboard!

They will be processing us all in the next couple weeks...

Don't freak out when you check your reservations and happen to see another 258 or so names on your reservations....

OMG I keep having the same reoccuring dream or really I should say nightmare. I get on the cruise & open my suitcase & realize I never packed ANY of my dresses or dress shoes. I start panicking thinking, "Okay what port is next? Do we have an excursion planned? Is there a mall nearby?"

I had a cruise dream last night. We arrived back home and I couldn't remember ANYTHING we did. I could remember leaving for LA and then flying home, but nothing in-between.

Maybe too many drinks of the day!

I'm DISing and no one is bugging me to make them breakfast, or give up the computer so they can play Webkinz. I don't have to remind anyone to make their bed or practice piano & clarinet today. I'm not hearing anyone yell "Stop it!" or "It's my turn!" Ahhhhhhh! Nice break today.

Ohhh..you have a Webkinz kid......Tori is definitely a Webkinz kid! She got a couple in the Fall of 07...for her birthday in January..she told everyone for presents she wanted Webkinz..I figured..no big deal..it's not like she is going to get very many...she got 8! unfortunately, I had already bought her one for Valentine's Day and 1 for Easter...on our trip to WA a couple of weeks ago..she found a buy one get one sale...she now owns something like 17 of the things! I guess there are worse things...

and the '08 will be placed near the bottom the patch company states (they promise to squeeze it in for us) I went over on letters so they figured something out for me

Ds has a birthday coming up, and he will be turning 13. He decided to add "no gifts" to the invitation, and ask everyone to bring something to add to a box we will send to a soldier in Iraq. He is having a "Guitar Hero" theme party, and so it is fitting we send a gift to a REAL HERO.

Des, didn't you have a web site address for sending boxes to soldiers in need? Or was that someone else?

What a great DS you have! I posted a website some time ago as we sent coupons to the families in the military - the bases will honor coupons up to 6 months expired so my DD and I send them over. We just started a couple of months ago and have sent over $2000.00 in coupons. It's a great project for Scouts..someone else must have posted one for boxes although..I think I can get one as we send Girl Scout cookies every year.

As for the Webkinz on the ship..no I hadn't heard that but I guess I know my DD will find it in a heartbeat! Are they special to Disney or just that they sell them?

I wanted to post this back when we were discussing the banners for Canal day, and I kept forgetting. This is the Mom's banner and the website I ordered it from is www.BuildASign.com
It wasn't expensive, and they delivered it really fast.

I'm not very creative, so it's kind of boring. I think creative people could easily make something better.

One of my favorite places!! I was telling my husband that next year I want to rent a house in Capitola for the week or go camping at New Brighton beach for the week. The boys want to go camping, I want the house. Since they out number me it will probably be camping. At least I'll be close to Capitola and can go for the day.

I will be back that way Saturday to pick the boys up from camp at Frontier Ranch.

We camped at New Brighton years ago and loved it. We also loved going to Big Basin. When my mom lived in Carmel Valley we always went to Santa Cruz boardwalk, my kids loved it there. How are the fires doing up there? I hate hearing about so many areas burning. Seeing Big Sur, Nepenthe's and Ventana surrounded by fire in the news just breaks my heart. Those are other wonderful places we've been!

DD9 is a big webkinz fan too. She has 4 now I think. She just loves them.

I love hearing about kids that do this. That is amazing.
We are big Guitar Hero fans at my house...LOL We just got the Aerosmith GH game...not my favorite so far, but still fun.
One of our neighbors boys, who grew up with my older boys, just arrived last month in Iraq. He is doing well but adjusting to where he is and the reality of war. If you need info to send stuff to a group I can ask him. Luckily we are able to keep in contact with him via email every few weeks.

WA Mini-Meet? July 18-20​

Yeah, I know the WA folks just had one a few weeks ago, but is anyone up for another??

I'm suggesting the Pacific Science Center on Sunday July 20. AND...

Anyone who would like to visit us up at The Woods for an outdoors adventure is welcome for Friday and/or Saturday night. Mom and Dad have penciled it in... they LIVE to entertain up there. Trust me, it's NO trouble to host a crowd. There's additional bed space for about 6. Beyond that, we're looking at the floor of the Bunkhouse or Barn, tents, or bring your own camper.

The Woods is on South Cle Elum ridge just outside the town of Cle Elum. (First town east of Snoqualimie Pass on I-90.)

In any case, we'll be in both places The Woods and PSC, so come to one, both, or neither - depending on what you can manage.

Here's the view from the hot tub at The Woods - just to tempt you up there.

We'll be there for the Science Center! Contemplating if we can do an overnight in Cle Elum! That would be fun!

I am anxiously waiting for Disney to book my flights. TA says 30 days out (only 10 to go). I have to make arrangement to get to and from the airport. Hopefully we will leave early on Sunday and with the time difference still get there in plenty of time. But getting DD up early on her day off is another story...and she usually has to work Holidays so I may have to find someone else to pick us up.

We are still trying to figure out who is bringing us to the airport. Our flight leaves at 6:00AM on the 17th!

(Probably same place as Palo ressies perhaps) (as it seems many wait staff contracts seem to be up shortly and Debi didn't want me to add anything to the group request.)

It's always the same. I am in the room unpacking and unpacking and unpacking, and before I know it, the whole trip is over and all I've done is unpack.
I hate that dream.

My family will be heading down to South Carolina later this week.

Last month my cousin lost her husband. Last night she lost her dad. He had a heart attack while at a BBQ in SC. His wife (my mom’s sister) keeps saying she just buried her son-in-law, now she has to bury her husband.

Once again our whole family is in shock. No one expected this.

My aunt and uncle were married for 38 years. I can’t imagine her without him.

Oh no! Our family's prayers are with them.

Maybe it's because i grew up in Philly but i just don't get the fascination.

uuummm... It's the birth place of the United States of America..... You can actually stand in the same room as our fore fathers did while they were writing the Decleration of Independence! You can eat at City Tavern -- where the men that started this country ate! You can see the actual chair that Ben Franklin sat in while the Continental Congress met! I could go on FOREVER about all the wonderful Historically significant things there are to see and do in Philidelphia!!!

We have a Best Buddy as well. My DS4 calls my DS11 that. It was sad yesterday when we dropped DS11 off at camp. DS4 kept giving him hugs and saying 'I'm gonna miss you Best Buddy'.

DW, was very ill over weekend was just 'sick' vomiting all Sunday not sure why, food or bug, but was very unwell.

DS-Stephen is getting ready for Scout camp next weekend, DD Alice just had her Guides one.

7dd got her first (and so far only Webkinz) a couple of weeks ago from Bip's dd's b-day party. She has had a wonderful time playing with it online. Now her older brother (10ds) wants one of his own.
