Well, I have to say you all TALK a lot! I don't think I'll ever get caught up again. I've got my fingers crossed that I can FINALLY make it to a Friday night chat. Have a great day! I am off to work:)

I LOVE that the hot tub is actually a tub!

And here I thought you'd be impressed by the fact it was wood fired. :rotfl2: It's something like 15 years old - one of the very first things DM & DD installed up at the woods. Along with a changing shed next to it, and an old Airstream trailer affectionately known as the Mouse House.
The Woods have gown up a bit since then - heck - it's even got power now. And last year... we got a flush toilet. :rotfl2:

Hey were back .... Cozumel was great and the diving was even better ..So if I have missed anything please fill me in ....I wil go back like maybe 20 pages but thats as far as I can ...

Well.......Samantha (17DD) and Michael (28DS) should be in the air now....on their way to LAX for a 5 hr layover. DH told them that it is one of the worst airports in the world , especially for going from domestic to the Internationall terminal.......... Then they will be on their way to Korea.

We did NOT cry at the airport -- BUT, I so want to cry! 17dd has gone on many trips and to camp without us....... I am really going to miss her and all the help she is to me -- she is really good with 10ds & 7dd. She loves playing with them and doing stuff with them!
I know that I have to have everything ready for the cruise by the time she gets home (or really close to it) since she will get very paniced if she thinks that she has too much to do before we leave. DH & I told Michael that if she needs it to give her half of one of his valiums....... I should have taken her to the Dr this past week since she was working really hard on not having a panic attack.
She knows that she will be fine once she gets to Korea.

I expect Claire & Brian to cry tonight when it is bed time -- and *best buddy* isn't here! *Best Buddy* is what Claire has alwyas called Samantha -- we have no idea where she got that term from....

I will start replying to the rest of the *scrapbooking* emails probably tomorrow. The last few days have been spent with Samantha & getting her all ready and as calm as I could!

Cheryl -- Samantha reminded me that I need to call you and I will! :thumbsup2

Even though your DD is older, she sounds very similar to my DD. I know you miss her very much! Don't worry too much about the scrapbooking stuff, there is still lots of time.

I hope you have a great day!:lovestruc

We've been struggling to get DD14mo to eat, too. She just won't have anything to do with most finger/table foods.

She really won't starve herself - I know it is hard to imagine and very stressful when they won't eat but it does get better.

We had the same problem with DD (now 13) she rarely ate and never even got out of the small bottles when she was an infant. Food just didn't interest her. She ate but very very little and not all the time. We even took her to a nutritionist when she was a year old because she had lost a little weight instead of gaining. I was so stressed out by it but my mom told me I was the same way at that age. I rarely ate, I would eat just enough not to starve but not more then that. The Nutritionist told us to feed her high calorie foods like ice cream, eggs, etc. As much of it as she would eat. This would help with the calorie intake so that when she wasn't eating the quantity she was still getting the calories she needed. She was a very happy toddler and we were told by our pediatrician not to worry so much as many children go through this and most children are grazers and only eat a little a few times a day, which, he said, is actually the better way to eat.

Once she hit 2 years old her eating habits got a little better but by then we didn't stress about it as much because we realized that whatever she was eating was enough for her.

Hang in there

I remember when we got electricity and indoor plumbing at our place in the mountains of NM. It was a HUGE deal! :)

My family will be heading down to South Carolina later this week.

Last month my cousin lost her husband. Last night she lost her dad. He had a heart attack while at a BBQ in SC. His wife (my mom’s sister) keeps saying she just buried her son-in-law, now she has to bury her husband.

Once again our whole family is in shock. No one expected this.

My aunt and uncle were married for 38 years. I can’t imagine her without him.

Sometimes there just aren't words....this is so sad. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

At least one change from WB entertainment http://www.funnyguy.ca/events/index.php?month=8&year=2008

Just wanted to share some news for anyone that'll be in Toronto for the CNE.

I just read that Michael Harrison will be peforming there in August. It looks like there will be 2 shows daily. I was on CNE's website www.theex.com and found this under "what's on and main attractions". I'll copy and paste what I read below.:surfweb:

Ventriloquist Michael Harrison
Maple Lodge Farms Variety Stage; 1 pm & 3 pm

Fresh from seven years and over 1500 performances for Disney Cruise Lines master showman Michael Harrison is making his CNE debut. This extraordinarily talented ventriloquist, puppeteer and comedian has worked along side the likes of The Muppets and Boyz to Men. This one-man tour de force is sure to have you laughing-out-loud. Fun for the whole family!

This is good news for me as we missed Micheal's act on our Disney Wonder cruise in February. He was on the magic.

Just thought I would share.:goodvibes

Thanks for thinking of me last week everyone....

I am surviving so far... (yeah no tall buildings to jump off of in Fredneck)

I am having lunch tomorrow with some peeps from my old office...

We'll see if going back there is a possibility...

I know i need to find something though... It makes it hard to even look being this close to the trip...

I feel doomed.... :sad2: (and not being able to cancel stinks too... since trip insurance won't cover a job loss that is under 3 years)

I might have to stay away from here for awhile.... I'm just not feeling the excitement...

Hang in there. Everything happens for a reason even though we don't always know what that reason it. My DH once lost his job when our first mortgage payment on our new house was due and we had just found out we were pregnant with our 2nd.

I have a good feeling you will find something and I think most employers are understanding about a pre-planned trip. I wish you the best and will be thinking about you.:grouphug:

I used to cry and beg DD to eat when she was a baby. The Dr's said all Megan's issues would be cured by gaining weight and she has always been a light eater. My Pediatrician said the same thing- she will not starve herself. She is still in the tall and slim side but I guess she could have it worse. :)

You may have missed my pirate shoes...

BTW, I'm ordering a belt for my DH to match.

I need some photo posting lessons....

Nonetheless, here's a link to my new shoes for the TOAL. I know you're jealous - so order away, they're made right here in Connecticut. pirate:

Good Morning everyone. Just wanted to post a quick hello before trying to catch up on over a weeks worth of posts! :scared1:

We took our two older boys to camp yesterday in Scotts Valley (by Santa Cruz). They will be gone for a week. Whenever they go away I always think "yipee - a week of peace". By the 2nd day I miss the commotion. Sounds crazy huh? But then by the 4th day I like it.

We also went to Capitola for a bit yesterday. One of my favorite beaches in Northern California. It was cold but we had a nice visit.

It's gonna be a hot week. 105 today, 109 tomorrow 112 Wednesday, 109 Thursday and 105 on Friday..... ouch! I guess we will be staying in doors this week.

Prayers and :grouphug: for those that need them.

Penny

Wow! That is hot! I thought we had it bad here in Dallas.
I am not "hot" until it hits 100 and then it is uncomfortable for me.

I will find you in your lifeboat!

I went to the sale too! They had mini purell bottles for a penny...I went and grabbed a few of them to take on excursions with us!

Chrissie

When I saw the Purell in the ad, I instantly thought FE gifts. But then I read the fine print. No way they'd let me by 100+.
