I gotta go now...

So...I was cleaning and Dis'ing at the same time..put dinner in the oven..opened the fridge and there it was..an open bottle of wine...so now..I have decided enough cleaning for today (not good - I have people coming over Saturday for a BBQ) and enjoying a glass of wine....it's been that kind of day anyways...went to gt my hair cut and it looks something like this now...:scared1: (just not blue) ..I hate it...it's my usual hair stylist too... the words you always want to hear when the are cutting yuor hair.. "hmmm..that's not right"

I did not like my last haircut either:sad2:
I've told past stylists that I want it shoulder length and it would be too short, not anywhere near my shoulder.
So this time I pointed to my collarbone and said here I want it to hit my collarbone (which is lower than my shoulder so I figure maybe now I'll get shoulder length)
Nope, I knew as soon as she made the first cut that this women had no idea where my collar bone was:rolleyes1

Good thing my hair grows fast, it may be close to shoulder length by next month:confused3

Oh and another favourite line!

"It looks like it's been hosed down with Pepto Bismoth!"

(Hopefully that won't describe our ship after Mexico! )

Chrissie

I can't believe that noone has said one of my favorites ... I would rather have thirty minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special.

The line about her hair looking like a football helmet cracks me up.

Relax! You can’t screw up her hair. Just tease it and make it look like a brown football helmet.

Too bad we can't post the best line about the grooms cake. :lmao:

I was filling out both DD's camp stuff today. I realized I had the wrong dates in my head for when they are going! I thought it was Aug 3-8, but no, it's Aug 10-15! :scared1: So, they'll come home Friday afternoon and we leave 6:00AM Sunday morning for the cruise! Can you say BUSY SATURDAY for us? YIKES!!! This also means that we have to have everything ready for school before they leave for camp! School starts Sept 2!

OMG that hurt just reading about it!! If it had been MY kid, that's what I would have done. Don't know what I'd have done with someone else's kid, though.

I've heard stories of men/boys going "commando" and getting something else stuck in a zipper. :scared: :scared:

I've heard of that as well, but fortunately have never actually had to deal with that particular crisis.

Actually the worst possible thing happened to me yesterday. We are driving from my Mom and Dads (10 mins away) and there it was on the left- :sad2: a CINNABON!!!!! Lord help me now!!!! I used to have to go 30-40 m ins away to find one- now there's one in my backyard!
I was tearing apart the Orlando airport last week trying to find the Cinnabon. It is on the map but after exhaustive searching- it ain't there. Turns out they took it out to0remodel and it did not come back in.
The only good thing is the location of this Cinnabon might be tough to make it a go.

We also had a new restaurant open locally (to our surprise). Not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing, or a sign that our city is finally growing up. But San Jose now has a Hooters.... :cheer2:

Don't be too surprised when I put my napkin under my chin like a bib!!! ;)

I wish that I had our first cruise pictures on this computer! DD was 3 then and was so anxious to dig into dinner one night that she tucked her napkin in her dress herself. She kept tucking a bit much and ended up looking like a little Dolly Parton. :rotfl:

Hmmm, maybe I'll ask for extra napkins.

We could open a store! I go size 2-8.
That's exactly what my Dsis said when she lost 50 pounds:lmao: She goes, "Laurie I could open my own department store." then she decides to give me her "fat clothes":headache: I deserved it too as I've done that in the past to her:rolleyes1

I am sooo not looking forward to full contact laundry. :sad2:
Yeah, you're not very intimidating;) Maybe if you bring the kid's hockey stick with you:idea:

So far my kids Dumb Move Award goes to DS8 who rode a boogie board down the steps when he was 2. Put a lovely hole in his head when he ran into the stereo speaker at full speed.
Actually the boogie board down the steps sounds like fun if you remember to put pillows at the bottom:woohoo: and move the stereo speaker:lmao: My dent from when I fell down the steps at 18 months old is gone:cheer2:

I haven't seen a size 14 in 5 yrs! :headache:

I have seen them..they are in my closest where I look at the longingly.. :rotfl2:

My weight has been going up and down the past few years, but I haven't been a size 8 in a long time:sad2:
I did go shopping with DD last night for formal dresses and bought 2 at Lord and Taylor, plus a black semi-formal dress. DH has informed me that one of the formals is not very flattering (despite DD's assurances that it was) so I'm on the lookout for another one
Boy, is it just me or are the formal dresses sized small. The black dress I bought (same size as the rest of the clothes I'm currently wearing) is 2 sizes smaller than the formal dresses:confused:

OMG they just opened one up near us too.

I keep telling DH "Don't even think about it":lmao:

And he'll say "don't you like them for their hot wings too?"

From the song:confused3

Arggghhh! Fellow pirates, ye've gotten the Draft to help us seek Gain in our full contact laundry cruise. Cheer up mates! We sail with the Tide!
