Hello Aug 15th Cruisers!

I was on this cruise previously, but switched to a September cruise. Just wanted to pop back and let you know, if you live in FL, Florida Residents Rates are out for this cruise. Disney will let you adjust your rate if you qualify. Definitely worth it

I didn't see anyone posting about it recently. (But then you were always a chatty bunch ).

I will be jealous when you get to depart on August 15th, but happy because we will be going a few weeks later! Turns out I am on the same cruise as Karen (Custard Tart)

Have a great cruise and look forward to more Tortola trip reports.

Ok, I have my own questions to ask:

1. How many bottles of sunscreen do you plan on bringing?

2. What SPF?

3. Spray or Lotion?

4. Do you have a favorite brand?

1. I am thinking 2-3 bottles
2. 30 or more

I finally found a good coupon for sunscreen and plan to get this purchased today or tomorrow.

We (DD 13) and myself are thinking about hopping aboard this August 15th (even though we just did the June 13th -- had SUCH a great time I'm contemplating sneaking in another 7 nighter before school starts on August 24th....)

So, is there a "master list" anywhere of the kids onboard? Just ages/demos just to make sure that there would be other, compatable young teen Dis'ers?

Hello and Welcome! I was just on our website counting kids and there are a bunch of kids this age - including my own DD who is 13. When I go through the "master list" of people cruising, I counted about 15 girls (ages 12-14) and 10 boys (ages 12-14).

I am going to get my boxes ready to ship out next week.......Last cruise my box was a bit bigger and it was fine it got to our stateroom perfectly.....................

When are you planning on sending your box out??

Great to know. I think I'll be okay if I can go to a box the size of a copy paper box.

We're hoping to make our FE this weekend. If we get that done, then we'll also be shipping next week. I was hoping to get the FE and FE gifts, some door magnets and maybe the over the door shoe holder into the box - but I know I can't do it in a 1 foot box!

I have been a bit behind since being out of town for the 4th...

A couple more questions to get the thought jucies going…..

What towel animals do you like, (1st cruisers) or looking forward to?
I like all the towel animals but agree that the monkey is really cute!

Where do you like to view the fireworks form? Or plan to.
Last time we watched them from the middle of the pirate party on deck 9....hard to say where we will be this year.

Do you buy/take any cruise planning books?
Nope - I use the Internet for cruise planning and make my own planning binder that I bring with.

When do you change your clocks on the cruise at night or early next day
At night

Whats the most romantic thing you have done, or plan to do on the cruise.
Our night at Palo - getting dressed up, nice dinner, a little wine, a walk around the ship at night - it was really a wonderful night.

Do you read the port guides or go to the talks re ports on the ship.
I will probably read the port guides.

Favorite soda at the soda stn. And how often do you visit.
I like the lemonade. We did not visit the soda station much last cruise. This cruise we plan on taking advantage of it much more.

Do you jog around the decks to work off food.
I didn't last time but this time I will do some jogging to keep prepared for the 5K.

When do you tip during the last night, as soon as you get in or at the end of the meal.
On our last cruise, we did not eat in our assigned dining room on the last night as we had our Palo reservation. We did stop in quickly to say good-bye to our servers and take care of tips. I am not sure what we will do this time.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

I have pretty busy the past couple of days and today is going to be a bit more relaxing - we are going to try to take care of a bit of shopping for the trip. I have found coupons for many little things we need (sunscreen, single load laundry detergent, $$ off the total bill at a couple of stores).

Hope everyone has a great Disney day! It is time to get my jogging done...

Just ONE !! For DGH and I , we like to share . We always arrive to Port Canaveral having already a good tan ... we go sunbathing every weekend here in Italy, so we don't have to bother about tropical sun ...

Light cream

4. Do you have a favorite brand?
I use only Shiseido , we apply the cream in the morning and feel OK all day long ... Have to say that we don't stay "still" under the sun - but only walk in the sun - on decks , excursions etc.

I am looking at either the Sony or the Kindle...My main use would be to read, I know they can do alot of other things but I would probably not really use it for anything else. I am hoping to buy it pretty soon so I can start loading it with some books for our trip.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We are getting excited about the cruise, plan to get cases out and start gathering clothes together this weekend.

Just spent a great afternoon and early evening with the family! First, we went to the Mall of America to do some shopping for our trip. We found swimsuits for Ben, a cute tank top and shorts for Emily and a dress shirt to go under DH's tux. Everything we found was on clearance so I felt great about each of the items!

After shopping, we went to a really wonderful Italian restaurant. We enjoyed a few shared dishes and a pitcher of sangria for DH and me. It was so nice after shopping to sit and enjoy a relaxing dinner as a family.

it was a really great evening - we haven't had a night out like that in some time.

Good Morning Everyone!

Question for the Day - What are you doing to prepare for your vacation today or this week?

My Answer - This week we are focusing on our list of things to do and buy.

What we have already done this week:
• Emily got her hair cut (she cut off 10 in. & donated it to Locks of Love )
• Designed a few more magnets
• Shopping for a few clothing items we needed

What we will do today:
• Shopping for drug store items (motion sickness medicine for sure )
• "Laminate" door magnets (the clear shelf liner is working great)

What we will do this weekend:
• Finish making the last of the door magnets & cross it off the list!
• Printing off new confirmations & important information to add to my planning binder that comes iwth us on the trip

I am feeling like a lot of our lists are getting shorter and that is a great feeling! We are only 28 days away from leaving for WDW!!!!!!

Thanks, that is the one I was leaning towards...Do you know if she purchased the new Kindle DX or the Kindle 2 - the Kindle DX is a couple of hundred more and bigger - I was leaning towards the 2 because I'm not sure I want the bigger DX.
