3 weeks from this Sunday myself and DGH will be on our plane heading towards NYC and Orlando !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Question for the Day - What are you doing to prepare for your vacation today or this week?

I still need to "work" on our last FE gifts !!

I LOVE the FE we'll hang outside our door ; it's very simple , but I'm proud I made some little bits MYSELF !!!!

Both Marco and I will book online all of the "transportations" we need in Orlando and NYC !!!

We 'll start to check all of our documents !!

We'll also have to keep in touch with some friends we will meet at WDW - before the cruise !!!!

I'm VERY EXCITED as our travel docs from Disney Travel Company UK just arrived by mail !!! ( hotel voucher, free dining vouchers , preferred viewing for fireworks at Mk and Epcot , parks maps and info, and other small benefits ...)


I also got a large envelope from a dear friend ... ( THANK YOU !!!!!) full with NYC maps , brochures, official visitor guide-book and such !!!!!
So ... I'm double-EXCITED ; we'll "study" and plan our itinerary in NYC during the weekend too !!!!!!!!!


Oh ... and we'll go sunbathing as well !!!!!!!!!

Evening, this Sunday the 12th is exactly, one month until we fly out!

I bet everyone is getting EXCITED ... NOT TOO LONG now !!!

everyone says hi
james is off to paris tomorrow he is very excited, nicola and I plan to sort out dresses and shoes all weekend so dave will be bored.
we have a cute fish extender our friends gave us a couple of years ago with mickey and minnie on it, we have had a go at making some door magnets which has been fun and we now have all our bits for our gifts.
we are now on count down only 25 days until we fly.

The Document Dance!!!
Yes, they arrived today! UPS delivered them this afternoon but when I couldn't see the return address I just left them for hubby. He was joking around with me that that's what was in the envelope and I didn't believe him. I don't think we've ever gotten them this early before. He's now hidden them from me so I haven't even looked at them yet (but I watched him open them and saw him holding the luggage tags).

We don't even have our stateroom assignment yet and now people are getting their documents !!! YIKES!

Alright, I will admit...I am kind of a control freak who likes details in place.

It really is not a big deal that I have not been assigned a stateroom number but there is this big hole in my master plan that is beginning to cause me to check the Disney cruise site several times a day!

Questions for those of you who booked a GTY room...

1. What category GTY room did you book?

2. Have you been assigned a stateroom number yet? If so, about when did you get it?

Questions about GTY rooms...

1. Does anyone know if they only do room assignments on week days or if they could assign us a stateroom number on the weekend???

2. What is the latest that you have ever heard of a stateroom being assigned?

Alright, I am going to go back to saying that it doesn't bother me that we do not know this detail yet!

Alright, I am going to go back to saying that it doesn't bother me that we do not know this detail yet!

Normally the *peak* of assisgnments is made 35 days pre cruise, if that falls around a weekend, its often the Monday, we are at that point now, but if tickets are going out, they normally have done it, -maybe for anyone dealyed there is a higher chance of an upgrade.

Gina and Kristen, How exciting! Can't wait for our tickets to arrive! I think our packet goes to our TA and then comes to us.

Evening, this Sunday the 12th is exactly, one month until we fly out!

We leave on the 12th as well! (which is DH's birthday too!)


We'll stay at a hotel the night before our early flight on the 13th and hopefully we will be in WDW in the early afternoon. I always let DS pick what he wants to do first and this trip he has chosen the Tower of Terror!

X-ray of DS's arm this week looked promising. You can actually see the bone growth between the 2 pieces that did not quite go back together correctly (although MD says it is "good enough" for an 8 yo). He's allowed to up his activity level.

MD has stated in no uncertain terms that DS can not go to the beach not even to play in the sand (at least not as far away as the Carribean). DS was really blue. He wanted to build a sand castle! Well I guess that we now have an excuse to go back!

So we officially changed our Shore Excursions on Tortola and Castaway Cay. We are now doing the Arts & Craft excursion and the Glass Bottom Boat. I'm not really sure what else we can do on Castaway Cay that doesn't involve either water or sand! If he gets the swim cast, I guess we'll be taking advantage of the "empty" pool on the ship!

Glad to hear that things look promising for his arm.

You should call DCL and ask what activities there are on the island that do not involve sand. I know a few times I have seen passengers with broken legs, etc. in wheel chairs and I remember over hearing them say that DCL had "special" activities for them since they could not go near the sand or water. I would give them a call!!!!!!!

Kathy - That is great news that his arm is healing nicely! I agree with Kristin...call DCL and see if they have suggestions about what he can do on Castaway Cay.

We did see it. I was really happy to finally be able to read a bit of a detailed report about the 5K.

It is kind of interesting though because he says they ran at 8:30 (meaning they got off the ship early and were able to get to the beach early) but when I look at the Tortola navigators that were posted, it shows the run at 9:30. So I am wondering what time the run will be for our cruise.
