LOVE, LOVE the brunch at Paolo's. :dance3: Also, because I am a big mush, I love to watch the family photos on formal night.:love: Alright, guilty pleasure: sneaking away to the adult pool, snagging a mojito and enjoy some solitude. :cloud9:

Haven't had brunch at Palo - but we hope to do that this time around!

Haven't been in the adult pool - but we hope to do that this time around too!

Haven't had a mojito - have heard of them but never tried it!

There is so much for us to do and try on this cruise! We are so excited to be going on a 7-night cruise where we feel like there will be more of a chance to try things out.

Talk to you when we get back from Paris :rolleyes1 next week , laura :yay:

Laura and Marco,
We are all so glad that you are okay. The pictures we've seen are pretty devastating.
My family is in Frosolone, in Campbasso. I spoke to a cousin who called over there and reported back that they are all okay. But it is still very scary. Hopefully there will be a happy ending for your student.
As for Italy, I have not been back since studying in Switzerland back in 1986 although we correspond (yikes - does that date me). I'm trying to talk DH into a family trip to Italy and Austria to visit relatives (well, my relatives anyway! LOL) but so far have not been able to schedule anything. I think he's concerned about the language issue. And, sadly, my Italian has deteriorated to the point of being nonexistent. (My great grandparents did not speak English so once they passed, so did my Italian lessons..)
Take Care
Jude :grouphug:

 Glad that your relatives are OK !!
You HAVE to visit Italy at some point !!!! ;);) I could ;) teach you some Italian this cruise !!! :lmao: and talk DH into coming to Italy : :confused3 nowadays younger people can talk a little English here in Italy ... and DH HAS to try Italian cuisine : he'll be hooked !!!! :goodvibes ;)

Ciao , laura

I was so relieved to hear that you are alright - there is barely any news about it here. What a sad situation for everyone there.

I hope that you and Marco have an incredible vacation and I cannot wait to hear from you when you return! :goodvibes

My blog will seem so quiet while you are gone! :surfweb:

Have a wonderful time!!!!!!

I already got mine about 2 weeks ago - probably because I am in the states.

Just a note for all of you with 13 year old kids - the booklet says that 13 year olds can go to the Stack (page 23). I wish that they would get this printed correctly. My DD had been "planning" her time on the ship on her own...using Disney published brochures...and thought she would be going to the Stack. She was not at all too happy when I told her that her travel brochure was wrong. Then, when we got the planning booklet and it said again that she could go to the Stack...it came up all over again. I actually even called Disney to ask them to please quit sending out information that is wrong. Imagine people who do not have the DIS to give them the correct information! :confused3

Agree, I do not think they should send them out incorrectly, that age group goes to Ocean Quest, ( only on the Magic).

Did you have a complete shore trips section in yours,I have a cover but no details of the shore trips, not too bothered as its all online and made my choices already.

  • Gina - Love Your List!

Haven't had a Bahama Mama...only had 1 beer while on board last time...I plan on changing that this time! :drinking1Looking for recommendations of the best drinks! Ooohh...do people know how much drinks cost? How about the special drinks - or drink of the day?

We will skip the chocolate dessert at Palo - love mine way more and we actually liked all the other desserts we have tried there much more!

I am not sure how much of the pirate stuff is coming with this time.pirate: We went all out pirate style last time...it was fun..but I kind of feel like that is something we have already done up well and I am trying to save room in the luggage. We will see.

A sunrise is going to be a MUST for me. I am a morning person but didn't want to wake anyone last time. This time, I am going to just get up and go out.

My "TO DO ON BOARD" list is getting VERY long! Time to enjoy classes offered, time to enjoy lounging around, time to enjoy the kids, time to be with DH, etc.! Love to hear what everyone else enjoys!

I am glad that you survived the layoff! :goodvibes I can totally relate...I have already been told to expect my pink slip in April. :sad2: I will get to finish teaching the rest of the school year but then it is over unless I get called back. It is a scary position to be in. The worse is that I totally love my job this year...I am at a great school and the kids are wonderful. I am going to be so sad at the end of the year.

I just got back from Chicago where I was told that the company strategy has changed and the future of several departments (including mine) is not clear...:confused3

One thing is for sure tho- Tortola!!! :goodvibes

Just keep swimming swimming swimming Just keep swimming...

Wow- a lot of great information posted over the past few days! (I had missed the disboards!)

We went on the kayak tour at CC last time (was great), but I would really like to check out the stingrays and do more snorkeling (in warmer water) this time.

I would like my DSis or BIL and one of my nephews or niece to participate in a game show.

We think the sunsets are not to be missed!

Before a few of the shows, we went down to get a mocha chino or espresso to bring back up to enjoy during the show.

I'm looking over my bill from last April. I believe the drinks ran about $6-$7 each. I think if you saved the drink glass you'd get refills for less. They are a plastic hurricane glass. A beer in the restaurant was $3.75 for a Bud. My DH drank others that you would find on the Beer tasting and they were between $5-$6. I guess it depended if he tipped more, I can't really tell from the bill. A regular coffee from Cove Cafe was $3.39

I enjoy a Yellowbird too. Had a sample of that during the Art of Entertaining Fruit Carving and Mixology (highly recommend, the fruit carver is incredible). It was offered on Sunday on our Eastern cruise last April. After they are done showing you 5 different drinks (Margarita, Cosmopolitan, Cool Breeze, Yellow Bird and Bahama Mama) they would raffle a full one off asking Disney trivia questions. I think I won 2 of them. You also got samples of at least one of the drinks, probably the Bahama Mama.

Hello, Everyone

Thanks for the price information. I probably will not have too many drinks at that price. I know that on our last cruise we did bring some of our own alcohol on board to help our budget out a bit. Still, I would like to kick back and order one or two of these drinks I hear everyone talk about.
