Some more information. We are using FL Tours which we found cheaper then Quick Silver who we used last time. The car will pick us up at the airport and bring us to the port.

we have used quick silver on several occasions and found them to be very good.
but these days we hire a car from budget which is cheaper,and we have freedom to make detours on route back to walmart etc for last minute things

I have a flydrive from Virgin, for 21 nights so I will drive to/from the port, to give maximum flexibality, I know the insurance is a rip off but it lets me do what I want and no waiting around.

I have used FLTOURS before when I have had one way repo cruises they were good.

Hi everyone. Hope all is well. Just had a really bad week - layoffs at my work - I did survive. We lost 15% of our department
I am so glad that is done. I had a migrane for 3 days straight.

Softball and Dance consume our lives right now. DH is working 6-7 days a week and at night right now - UGGHHH!! This cruise cannot come fast enough.

Jen - the picture of your daughter in toes shoes was great! I know how hard the kids have to work to get to this point.

I am glad that you survived the layoff! I can totally relate...I have already been told to expect my pink slip in April. I will get to finish teaching the rest of the school year but then it is over unless I get called back. It is a scary position to be in. The worse is that I totally love my job this year...I am at a great school and the kids are wonderful. I am going to be so sad at the end of the year.

Are you getting costumes ready for a competition or recital? I will have to post the dance pictures again...I am so proud of DD this year for working so hard at dance. We are excited to go see her perform again tomorrow. I will try to get some video or at least some better photos of her dancing!

Thanks to everyone who posted about our Hot Topic! It is always so great to hear all the different ideas people have. I have now archived that topic and posted a new one! Here is what was updated tonight...

1. DIS Cruisers page..we now know who all will be sailing with gfolchick.

2. DIS Meets, we have new members for some of the meets - can’t wait to meet up with everyone!

3. Just for Fun seems to have started a ripple effect of mystery photos...we now have them on both the DIS and our web page! Other new things as well on that site!

4. Last, but not least...a new blog entry!

Hope everyone else is having a great weekend! We are enjoying ours...it has been nice to have time with the family and not have such a crazy, busy schedule!

Jen - sorry to hear about your situation. Many teachers in our area are going through the same thing. This economy is lousy. It is scary not knowing from day to day.

Our studio does not do competitions but every 3 years they perform in DISNEY, Universal Studios and Seaworld. 2010 is the next trip to be planned and I hope my kids get invited again. Last time it was 77 girls from the studio along with their families. We had over 300 people. It was such a blast.

We are just getting all the costumes ready for recital. Only 5 more weeks of dance - boy did that go fast!!

Her jazz dance took FIRST PLACE for the whole competition...in all dance categories...in all ages....at a really big dance competition!!!!

Here is all she won...

2. Lyrical - Platinum Plus...1st Place
3. Jazz - Platinum Plus...1st Place...1st place regional competition award!

Plus, their jazz dance was selected to be posted on line to compete via online votes against other regional dances! When it is up, I will post the link so you all can see her dance!

DGH was correct - and so fast too! Again, I must need to make them harder but it is hard since I want everyone (new and old cruisers) to have a chance!

It sounds so fun to travel with the girls to such great places. Our studio does competitions but does not travel too far outside of the twin cities area.

I am so glad to have my costumes done...DD's tap shoes took 4 hours each to completely cover with sequins!

It was a Star Power competition - I will post the link online as soon as we have it. Our next (an last) competition is the first weekend of May - they have a lot to live up to now!

I haven't watched your video yet but DD and I are going to watch it together tomorrow!
