8/10/2008 - Mexican Party Cruise - Who's Here??

Hey

Starting an early(?) thread for the August 10, 2008, Mexican Riviera Cruise!

There will be Jo (myself), Ernie (DH), Samantha (18-DD), Ashleigh (17-DD ) and Wes (19-DS ). We are Magical Cruiser buffs, and this will be our 10th MAGIC Cruise (or 11th depending on whether we can grab another one before then! LOL).

We will also be joined by my cuz, Sheryl, her DH, Dave, and their two DD's Savannah (11) and Rachael (9). I'll try to get them on and posting soon!

Let me be the first to proclaim this the MEXICAN PARTY CRUISE!!! Who's with us???

Oh yeah....1 year, 6 months and 1 day!

We'll be there too!!!! This will be cruise #3 for us, getting ready to take #2 next month! We have a much smaller group than the past but there will be myself, DH, my mom, DD#1 (16) DD#2 (13). We were on the Magic the last time she came to CA in 2005, so we'll be happy to have her back here.

Welcome Scrapin! Sounds as if we are starting off with some veteran cruisers here!

I'll have a DD 17 on that cruise, so sometime we'll have to get our two together online! My girls have always loved doing that before their cruises!

I'll have to find a counter for us to have on the page! I have just put a deposit in for New Year's 2007, so it will end up being our 11th cruise that August. I can't go too long without my MAGIC!!!!

We are coming too. I know around 20 people who are booked. Your shipmates are (I will give ages at the time of the cruise) Me(34), DH(40)yikes!, DS(5), DD(3), DM(62), DSis(32), DN(11), DNeph(10), DNeph(7). I also have a tone of friends coming along with their friends and family. My travel agent made out like a bandit since I referred at leat 6 cabins in addition to mine!

We love to have fun so we are looking forward to our first Disney Cruise. We love WDW so this should be fun. I have been on 3 other cruises and already did the Mex. Riviera.

I look forward to getting to know you over the next year and a half.

Hi everyone! I'd like to join the Mexican Party Cruise!!!

Have just booked this cruise for myself, DH and DS15 (at least he will be when we get onboard... ) as part of an extended West Coast vacation! Only decided to book yesterday evening so feeling very excited at the prospect of sooo much planning...

To date, I have only cruised once before - on the Wonder with DD back in May 2005 which was fab! However, by the time this one rolls around, I'll have two more under my belt as DH and I are cruising the Western Caribbean on the Magic this September to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary - we're having a vow renewal and everything! Plus DD and I are back on the Wonder for a spot of Double Dipping next May...

*Bump* Been looking at the excursions available from previous Mexican Riviera cruises - very excited by the idea of the Canopy tour at Puerto Vallarta...

The only excursion we did the last time the Magic was here on the west coast was the Dolphin excursion in Puerto Vallarta. It was great!! At the other ports we just got out and explored on our own.

Boy, clearly I have to get online more often! Sounds as if we are starting to gather a good group here!

I'll try and start making a list as we go along, so when times comes we have one. I'll do disboard handles, names, ages of kids (at time of cruise) and cabin numbers...you can choose to give me any of these or none if you so wish! Send it thru this thread or private message it to me!

You people are so organized...I haven't even started looking at excursions yet!

Hi Jo! I don't know about being organised - it just seems at the moment I can't stay away from the Disboards and I can't stop obsessing about vacation plans!!! I really must get on with my life...

Hi everyone. Just giving us a little nudge so we don't get lost in the back pages!

I wonder if any of you can help with a small dilemma I have? This cruise is going to be part of an extended trip to the West Coast and we were going to visit San Francisco afterwards but I've read that August is not a good time - is this true? Also do you think it would be crazy to include Las Vegas in this trip? All advice welcome...

Karen, I haven't beed to San Francisco is a very long time so I can't help you there with the weather. As far as Las Vegas...well I love going to Las Vegas! Have you ever been before?

Haven't been to SF in years and years, but I remember I loved it! Not sure about the weather. Can't help you with LV...we aren't gamblers.

That's good to know. San Francisco is near the top of my family's Places To See list. I don't think we're going to worry about the weather - just see the sights and relax in a nice hotel before moving on to Sonoma and a little wine tasting...

As far as Las Vegas...well I love going to Las Vegas! Have you ever been before?

No - but I'd love to for the experience! We not gamblers but just love the look of the themed hotels. DS loves thrill rides and there are a few of those plus some of the trips to the Grand Canyon sound awesome! Not sure if we'll be able to fit it in this trip as we're more likely to spend time in LA prior to the cruise...
