7yo Girl + 9yo Boy = What Character Meal?

hey everyone:

A dear friend is traveling to Disney and has two children.. a 9 year old boy and 7 year old girl. They've never been before and they probably won't go again for a few years.

They'd like to take in just one character meal while at Disney..

So .. ideally .. some characters that would appeal to both kids.. Don't want to send the kids to a "Princess Only" dining experience for example.

Right now the best I can come up with his Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner.. which features Minnie, Goofy, Pluto etc..

Any other ideas?

We do Chef Mickey's every trip one time for the kids boys/girls (7yrs-12yrs). Great buffet plus all the classic characters. Lots of interation and fun. And they love to see the monorail wisk by overhead.

My kids (1 boy & 1 girl) like the 'Ohana breakfast with Lilo & Stitch.

I was going to say " 'Ohana" with Lilo & Stitch, until I read that they want to do just "one" character meal.

Thus, "Chef Mickey's" gets my vote.....it's "classic Disney".

There is also the Garden Grill in The Land that rotates over Living with the Land

My choices would be:
1) Chef Mickey's
2) 'Ohana breakfast (if they like Lilo and Stitch)
3) Liberty Tree Tavern dinner
4) Another possibility might be 1900 Park Faire for breakfast. My DS9 really likes the Mad Hatter and they also have Tigger, Pooh, Alice and Mary Poppins.

Breakfast at 'Ohana or Breakfast at Chef Mickeys! Both a great way to start a day in Disney! Though I enjoyed the Breakfast food much better at 'Ohana.

My vote goes to Cape May Breakfast-later breakfast around 10ish or Chef Mickey for dinner on the first night.
