Where can I find one? I am really new to the whole scrapbooking thing. I was reading posts about how they use a scrapbook instead of the autograph book. Are they cheaper then the autograph book? This is our first trip with the kids so I want the book to be nice for thier first trip. Thanks for any thoughts or tips!

i don't know about a 7x7 scrapbook, as that is an unusual size.

are you a scrapper? you can either make something to bring with you, or what i have found is that i just use the $6.00 autograph books that i buy from disney. then after i get home i scan the autograph and include it on the pages. that way, you aren't stuck carrying around a larger item all day with you (what is ounces in the morning, feels like pounds the longer you are there), especially if you have more than one child.

there are many posts about it here, you could do a search on it. people have made paperbag albums, mini scrapbooks, etc on what to bring.

another good place to go to "see" stuff is twopeasinabucket.com. go to their peanut gallery, then click on view by categories, then scroll down until you see disney...click on that and there is tons, and i mean tons of stuff just devoted to disney...if that isn't enough, go back to the view by categories section and scroll all the way down to the bottom and click on theme parks and there will be more there.

you'll get lots of ideas here, there, and all over.

good luck.

Find a Creative Memories consultant- they sell the 7x7 albums. :) I'm a newbie to scrapbooking too. Watch out- it becomes addicting!

CM has 7x7 scrapbooks for bw $20 and $24 (I think). They have a cute Disney one for $24, but I don't know how many are out there now as they are discontinued.

I think I am going to get the cardstock spiral notebooks from Michael's for the characters to sign and then cut them out for the scrapbook. I think I'm going to buy the Target 8x8 albums (9.99 each) for separate scrapbooks for my kids. You can get the CM Mickey ones on ebay for around $20 - $25, but I'm going to get the Target ones since I can get two for the price of one CM.

I have done card stock and the 7x7 disney album from CM, both worked out well, however I think the Card stock was the best, I had precut an assortment of colors and had them on a mini clip board, it was easiest for the characters and easier for me to put them on my layouts!!!

I love my 7X7 Mickey Creative Memories scrapbook. I fit about 30 pages in it so I have the characher autographs plus tons of pictures of my kids with the characters. As far as Target goes...you get what you pay for!! PS..make sure you use a good permenant pen, the thicker ones are easier for the characters to hold and the print comes out a lot better than a regular pen. Good luck.

I am working on my autograph book as we speak and lets just say it is cheaper to buy a plain autograph book (that's for sure), but my book is going to be one of many scrapbook's that will last forever (ok at least until I am gone.) I am using an 8X8 in which you can find almost anywhere. I bought mine from Archiever's and it is a three ring binder style so I can pull the pages easily and I won't have to carry the main book to the park or cruise. I will post pics as soon as I can.

I bought a 7x7 Creative Memories Disney album off of ebay last year for about $20 or so...and I also got a bunch of Disney CM stickers and stuff to.

Just wanted to add my two cents in here....
I just came back from the parks a few days ago and they now have a book that is slightly larger then the original Disney autograph book. It is gold and has room for one 4x6 photo (with plastic protector) on one page, and the opposited page is left blank, (no plastic protector) for the characters signature. Although you could use this page for journaling as well.
They may have had these last year, but this is the first time I have seen them and just thought they were the cutest things for kids. I didn't catch the price, but I figure it holds about 20 photos or so. Maybe more.
It's at least worth checking out.

I would not use the 7x7 cm scrapbook for the characters to sign because then you are forced to scrap around the signature. Just my opinion.
Have a great time at the world!

CM albums are the best. I use them every year. The character helpers always comment that these are their favorite albums too for the characters to sign. They are sturdy etc. One year The Fairy Godmother told me that her and Cinderella get togather every Sunday and work on their CM albums!

we have the characters sign the pages on each side and every night I put page protectors on so I know what pages are completed. When we get home I stick pages between the signed ones and put the pictures on those! They are truley a keepsake of our trip.

I bring the ablum in a 1 gallon or 2 gallon zip lock bag with CM markers inside the bag too. This way the album is protected and I can find my pens easy.

I am using an 8x8 album for my autographs. But instead of having the character sign the page, I have made tags for the characters to sign. My autograph/scrapbook is almost done and it is turning out great. So with the tags already made I won't have to do any scraping around them because the book is almost done except for placing the picture of my son and character on the opposite page.

Besides the CM 7x7 album I really haven't seen any other album that size in general. You can get refills for the 8x8 almost anywhere (Micheals, JoAnns, LSS).
